You should try putting them on in the shower when your hair is soaking wet. Trust me you will see your low porosity sections that are frizzy smoothe out. I find the spray dosen't help much with low porosity sections.
Yay! I have low porosity hair so I really have to work the product into my hair well as I have closed hair follicles. How about you? What hair porosity are you?
I really wanna understand my hair it’s kinda complicated as I’ve tried to learn more about curly hair types and what product and technique is better for each but it’s just complicated
These are the things that helped me; 1. Pattern: I have more than four textures on my head; I have zigzag, tight coils like pen spring, loose curls that sleep with just the touch of sweat and straight hair that doesn't bend or define. 2. Texture: i have both fine and coarse hair. Fine ones are mostly around the perimeter of my face while the coarse ones are mostly at the crown and middle of my hair. 3. Density: I used to be medium to high density but life happened and now, my hair is growing back again after shedding extremely in the space of 9 months. 4. Porosity: I determined my porosity when I clarified with a shampoo and then air dried and it dried within 3 hours which means that I'm medium porosity. 5. Environment: I live in a highly hot and humid industrial city so, I factor this in while choosing my hair products. I use humectant products but I layer a heavy-duty gel on top of it to lock it to avoid frizz due to my type of weather. 6. Style: I do wash n go, twaid and braids so, I go for products that suit my climate as I explained above. 7. Technique: I smooth and rake my gels in sections when doing wash n go with lots of water then I dry with my dryer. I twaid out instead of twists because I get to have bigger sections without having to separate and have frizz. I also braid to give my hair rest under braided wigs. 8. Tools: I detangle in the shower with my wide tooth comb then final detangling while styling. However, to make my product work, I follow the instruction properly, watch and read reviews. Hope I've been of a little help.
