Thank you for doing a review on these products. I've used Shea Moisture before and realised that I lost some definition over time too. I actually think As I Am wins because it's a curl definition smoothie and As I Am defined your curls so much better.

I think the Asiam product had slighty more definition and the Shea Moisture was slighty more fluffy. I guess they both worked well and it really depends on which of the above 2 a person prefers. I like to see definition.

Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie is one of my absolute FAVORITE products! I love the Shea Moisture line altogether! I tried using the As I Am products, but it made my hair VERY gummy 🙁 The As I Am product finished with great definition on your beautiful mane😊

As I Am did your hair better.
I prefer Shea Moisture for my twist outs.
Shea Moisture Curl enhancing Smoothie May last better by wearing a satin cap or using a satin pillowcase. They now sell a 20 oz in the US for around $17 American... JAIA looked more defined, but I think if you had pulled the SM through your hair a little differently it would have been a bit more defined. Still lovely, nonetheless! :)

I like the As I Am side better it looks more defined. What do you do at nighttime to keep it preserved? And how long before you have to redo it? Thanks x
I don't do anything special, just cover with a bonnet and the next day I spray with water to refresh.
This can last up to 2 weeks, depending on the hold of the product. But I prefer to wash after 7-10 days because my hair dries out and needs moisture by then.

@@extinct6546 it said it was made for type 3-4 hair on the packaging. Maybe it’s her hair porosity that doesn’t work well with the product.

I have a question when putting in curl enhancers do you put just that or could you put that with an oil and leave in conditioner or just by itself ?
Hey there, I hope you're well.
Seeing as you have yet to receive a reply to your query, I thought I'd answer you.
You can use a leave in (the Gro Yoghurt that comes with the Long & Luxe line is GREAT in My hair), and you can most definitely use an oil to seal in the moisture once you're done styling. I hope this helps 😊😊

As far as I know, no.
How many times a week can you use it?
I'd say just go with when your hair feels dry and needs moisturising. I don't think you need it daily but it depends on your hair texture and hair care routine as to how often you moisturise. I hope that helps.
