I believe the Movie Makers didnt realize how important it is for Fans to not spoiler the Plot twist before release. They thought without spoiler they wouldnt get any Audience for the Movie. They were that much desperate already during the Marketing. lol
Lot of Terminator covers out there that sound similar, but I think it's Ethan Casner - Terminator Theme (Metal Version). He has different versions. I think it's the 2013 version, although sounds like 2011 as well. It's not the 2017 version. I think Viking Guitar also has a cool cover.

My problems with Genisys: -the T1000 was a complete push over. He wasn’t threatening, and he was too easily slowed down by handguns. -it seemed to lose its focus after they time traveled forward. -the entire scene in the parking garage with John Conner was goofy, from top to bottom. -Jason Clarke was a horrible John Conner! -When did Terminators stop seeing their existence as a threat? Remember when T2’s Terminator insisted on being lowered into the steel? There’s a reason why, so humankind can’t replicate the technology. -The CGI is obnoxious.

Salvation is the only sequel after T2 that I kinda enjoy. This movie is my least favorite out of the whole series. Sarah Connor Chronicles is my absolute favorite sequel to T2.
Genisys could’ve been one of the best terminator movies if it didn’t make John Connor the villain instead saving it as a twist that he was playing along and sacrifices himself against Skynet, Different actors for Kyle and Sarah even John because they just don’t bring out their traits that well, and more emphasis on who sent Pops back in time as a guardian. And time travel was overused. Positives are mainly about Arny returning and his big worded pronunciations like Cellulah level. The T-1000 twist was pretty cool, but ultimately die hard fans of the first Terminator would hate this movie just because of how much it nerfed the Original Terminator, and the acting being very awkward in some of not most spots.
Genisys had a good first half, but the second half felt like someone tied the plot's shoelaces together allowing it to trip and fumble onto an incoherent clusterfuck. The culprit is the writers and the tropes of time travel which monopolizes the story. Only saving grace was the action for that half. Jai Courtney without a doubt is the worst casting for Kyle Reese. TG is just too much of a narrative mess full of loose ends, plot holes, and time travel goofs, and as of now totally useless addition to the series. I'll take T3's more linear, straight forward, better made, more entertaining, and better cast movie with Arnold in top form regardless of it's sticking to formula. The formula WORKED. Genisys does not. T3 also doesn't crap all over T1 and T2 the way this and upcoming Dark Fate does...

As much as I hated this movie, I'm curious where they were going with the trilogy. Specifically all the unanswered questions about the T5000. I'm not a fan of trying to launch trilogies with a movie. T1 & T2 were not intended to be trilogies, they were stand alone films. But the new film makers think they can fill 3 movies worth of story. These set up movies seem like just that. They obviously hold back so much for the 3rd movie. Just give us the good stuff.

I know I'm late to this video. But I just re-watched the movie so I went out and found video reviews etc. In any event. the supposed plot of what would be the new trilogy was supposed to kick off would have been wild. And I think it would have worked out great in the end overall. The action in this one is on part with Terminator 3 imo, so to me that makes it a fun action movie, even if it's just an average Terminator movie overall.

I really liked the first part, showing the Resistance attacking the compound, finding the time machine, and John sending Kyle back. The rest of the movie went on a decline into the end. And I did NOT like the turning of John into a terminator.
It's like the Never Say Never Again of the Terminator franchise, where it has the original famous lead in place but it sits on the side on it's own, not really part of any of the rest of the films in the canon.
This was my second favorite Terminator movie in the franchise, after T2. It then goes Dark Fate, Salvation, T1, then finally T3. As a fan of the first two movies and being very familiar with both before watching Genisys, I couldn’t have asked for more. The bad boys comedy part was not needed, but I love everything else about this movie 🍿!!!
I just watched this last night for the first time, and somehow, I never saw any trailers or posters in the last 8 years, so the John Connor terminator twist in the middle actually shocked me and I thought it was a really good twist!. I’m really glad I got to have that experience. Sorry to anyone who had it spoiled for them.
Terminator 7: Hell No Not Again where they go back to the beginning of dark fate and show that sarah connor just had visions of what happend to john connor that dark fate never happend and the movie takes place post salvation showing john and dani as the leaders of the resistance and sarah and kyle as world leaders
One question. The terminators we see that were sent to 1995 in judgement day. I wonder how it is going be without John and Sarah Connor? I wonder if Pops will tracked them down and eliminated both of them. Also dealing with Carl terminator sent to kill John, and other terminators. It would be a great to see what Pops was up to from 1984 to 2017.
Terminator Genisys starts promisingly, but then slowly begins to lose its momentum in the second act with the John Connor twist and the whole thing about nexus points and time flows, and by the time the third act rolls around the plot has become so lost in all these different time travel theories and plot points that were obviously meant to be followed up on in a sequel, that even a real-life Skynet would be hard-pressed to untangle the clusterfuck that is the plot of Terminator Genisys.
I loved the alternate timeline plot. I just wasn't a fan of being surprised by the John Connor is now a Terminator plot twist (I didn't watch any trailers and I don't think that I saw the poster before watching). I'd like a follow-up to this... all while wanting Dark Fate.

I like the concept of John Connor in this one, I always wondered about his thieving ass in Terminator 2 and the original Terminator back in 1984 being the good guy after all.
I liked the alternate timeline angle. Some of the questions, like who sent the Terminator to save Sarah Connor, would have been answered in sequels that unfortunately we'll never get. And I like Jai Courtney pretty well. Easier on the eyes than Michael Biehn (unpopular opinion, I know).
I thought Genisys was good! Like you said they did something way different. Sucks that it didn't do enough business for an actuall sequel. Would have lived some answers to some if the plot holes and cliffhangers. I hate when they do that.
I loved touches like Reese putting on the Nike’s and the recreation of the Terminator arrival scenes with the 3 punks. Plus the T-1000 was very welcome. Definitely stuff to enjoy here if you’re a fan. Courtney sucks, agreed. Nowhere near the intensity and vulnerability of Biehn.
I overall enjoyed this one. I agree with you on Jai's portrayal of Kyle Reese. I think Michael Biehn was much better. Also I was a little iffy about Arnold becoming a T-1000 at the end. Uh spoiler alert! But now I have no problem with that. I also had a problem with Connor becoming a Terminator, but I guess it was bound to happen. Fortunately, I missed that reveal in the trailer. So it was a shock and surprise for me in the theatre.
I think Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese and the trailer reveal destroyed this movie. Other than Courtney, I liked this movie. I also agree with you about Salvation. T3 has one or two good scenes towards the end but is not a good movie.
Honestly this is The Terminator movie that for me jump the shark. Terminator 3 and Salvation really aren't that bad in fact I have a whole video on my channel going over why I don't think Terminator 3 is a bad movie or sequel but with Genesis they started playing around with multiple timelines where I feel like that doesn't really work for the Terminator franchise because that kind of defeats the whole purpose of the franchise trying to alter or prevent the future. But if alternate futures exist in the Terminator franchise than the Terminator threat is always going to be there no matter what they do even if you stop it in the future big whoop there's another future where the Terminator stuff still happens. I know that these problems to an extent already existed in the Terminator series proper because it existed in a temporal causality Loop which kind of makes it so the Terminator future has to happen no matter what but at least the stuff within the future was still subject to change even if it still had to happen and it kind of gives the effect that going back in time really doesn't solve anything that if you really want to change the future changing the past is not the answer but facing the future working hard today for a better tomorrow that type of thing.

Personally for me, the best thing about this movie was Emilia Clarke. This was the first time I ever saw her, and let’s just say she was heavily involved in my puberty years.
I saw dark fate. Its amazing. Its so different. It concludes something but starts something else. The first 5 minutes are crazy though. Thats all I'll say

I just don't get the hate this movie gets. I went into the theater seeing this movie without seeing any trailers. Completely blind showing. I had a fun time, the T-3000 was a novel idea for a new Terminator model. I liked revisiting parts of the 1st and 2nd movies.
I watched this for the first time either last year or the year before with one of my friend. He loved it, while I was like "eh. It's alright, I guess." I didn't think it was all that great, but it doesn't completely suck. It's entertaining, at least. I think it's a worse thing for a movie to be boring than it is to be poorly made. Because if a movie is poorly made, there's a chance it will be entertainingly bad. If a movie is made poorly, and is boring, then I have a problem. I won't watch it. I go to movies to be entertained, so if it entertains me, I'll probably enjoy it.
I saw TERMINATOR Dark Fate last friday. I am not gonna tell you anything. I give it a 8/10. About The 5th Terminator: Genisys...ehm didn't like it. John Connor, for me, is a hero. Like Bale played him. Don't like the Nanoterminator or the cgi. I agree with you on the rest, just a nice SF action movie containing Terminators. Love the first 2 and the 4th to much for that.
Now the timeline in The Terminator series is starting to look more confusing and hard to follow that it will make your head explode to understand it all.
Jai Courtney isn’t a good actor. He is very wooden like you said. He’s passable at best in his roles. The fact he’s so unrecognisable as being the same character as Michael Biehn is also jarring to me.
we have gone from just re-booting,to ret-conning complete sequels.,maybe they just need to make something original and see if that works,instead of going back each time to restart something,it's getting tiresome.
A problem with both Salvation and Genisys is that they planned for both of those films to be the start of trilogies in advance instead of waiting to see whether they were good or bad. Then when the response to them was bad they just scrapped the planned trilogies. Studios should wait and see whether a film's good before planning sequels to it.
Thing is they did still copy and paste the first three with one sent to protect and one sent to kill. But also, and Dark Fate made similar hypocritical decisions, what people and critics didn’t like in Salvation and ROTM they basically reused in this and Dark Fate. They don’t like the idea of a human terminator hybrid, yet here is the T-3000 and Grace. They don’t like reusing the same chases sequences, but again they copied and pasted. They don’t like the idea that T3 makes it that judgment day in inevitable, yet they did it again in this movie and the next. Genisys in my opinion is the worst of the franchise. Far as I am concern I only have the first four, and that’s the Terminator franchise as far as I am concerned.
I get that this movie was a massive let down. I get it. But it’s a movie about time travel. Anything that this movie screwed up about the lore could be easily fixed by going back further in the original timeline and starting all over again. 🤷♂️

The casting was a huge issue for me. I love Emilia Clarke but it was painful for me to watch her pretend to use a gun.
Especially when she tries to point a regular handgun at 2 Terminator’s.

It very much feels like the worst sequel after T2, for it retcons earlier films, and Jai Courtney was a terrible choice to play Kyle Reese.
@@captainhowlerwilson508 yea the casting could have been improved, and the callbacks from T1 I can understand annoys some people. The most frustrating thing about this one and the franchise in general is the timeline!
I enjoyed Genisys. The best scenes were the reenactments of the original film. Didnt enjoy Conner being turned into a Terminator. I give them credit for doing something different...........wait? Cody beat me to it....DAMN IT!!!!

I like the concept of John Connor in this one, I always wondered about his thieving ass in Terminator 2 and the original Terminator back in 1984 being the good guy after all.
I liked the alternate timeline angle. Some of the questions, like who sent the Terminator to save Sarah Connor, would have been answered in sequels that unfortunately we'll never get. And I like Jai Courtney pretty well. Easier on the eyes than Michael Biehn (unpopular opinion, I know).
I thought Genisys was good! Like you said they did something way different. Sucks that it didn't do enough business for an actuall sequel. Would have lived some answers to some if the plot holes and cliffhangers. I hate when they do that.
I agree..2,1,4,5,3. Also im sure Dark Fate will at least be better than T3, and Genisys.
I loved touches like Reese putting on the Nike’s and the recreation of the Terminator arrival scenes with the 3 punks. Plus the T-1000 was very welcome. Definitely stuff to enjoy here if you’re a fan. Courtney sucks, agreed. Nowhere near the intensity and vulnerability of Biehn.
The T-1000 looks terrible when compared to 1991.
Captain Marvel Wilson Doesn’t really measure up, true. This is pretty much a throwaway movie anyway but I enjoy parts of it.

I overall enjoyed this one. I agree with you on Jai's portrayal of Kyle Reese. I think Michael Biehn was much better. Also I was a little iffy about Arnold becoming a T-1000 at the end. Uh spoiler alert! But now I have no problem with that. I also had a problem with Connor becoming a Terminator, but I guess it was bound to happen. Fortunately, I missed that reveal in the trailer. So it was a shock and surprise for me in the theatre.

I think Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese and the trailer reveal destroyed this movie. Other than Courtney, I liked this movie. I also agree with you about Salvation. T3 has one or two good scenes towards the end but is not a good movie.

The director hated the twist reveal in the trailer. So I guess the execs had more control than he did.
Honestly this is The Terminator movie that for me jump the shark.
Terminator 3 and Salvation really aren't that bad in fact I have a whole video on my channel going over why I don't think Terminator 3 is a bad movie or sequel but with Genesis they started playing around with multiple timelines where I feel like that doesn't really work for the Terminator franchise because that kind of defeats the whole purpose of the franchise trying to alter or prevent the future. But if alternate futures exist in the Terminator franchise than the Terminator threat is always going to be there no matter what they do even if you stop it in the future big whoop there's another future where the Terminator stuff still happens.
I know that these problems to an extent already existed in the Terminator series proper because it existed in a temporal causality Loop which kind of makes it so the Terminator future has to happen no matter what but at least the stuff within the future was still subject to change even if it still had to happen and it kind of gives the effect that going back in time really doesn't solve anything that if you really want to change the future changing the past is not the answer but facing the future working hard today for a better tomorrow that type of thing.
Personally for me, the best thing about this movie was Emilia Clarke. This was the first time I ever saw her, and let’s just say she was heavily involved in my puberty years.

I just don't get the hate this movie gets. I went into the theater seeing this movie without seeing any trailers. Completely blind showing. I had a fun time, the T-3000 was a novel idea for a new Terminator model. I liked revisiting parts of the 1st and 2nd movies.

I watched this for the first time either last year or the year before with one of my friend. He loved it, while I was like "eh. It's alright, I guess." I didn't think it was all that great, but it doesn't completely suck. It's entertaining, at least. I think it's a worse thing for a movie to be boring than it is to be poorly made. Because if a movie is poorly made, there's a chance it will be entertainingly bad. If a movie is made poorly, and is boring, then I have a problem. I won't watch it. I go to movies to be entertained, so if it entertains me, I'll probably enjoy it.

About The 5th Terminator: Genisys...ehm didn't like it. John Connor, for me, is a hero. Like Bale played him. Don't like the Nanoterminator or the cgi. I agree with you on the rest, just a nice SF action movie containing Terminators. Love the first 2 and the 4th to much for that.
Now the timeline in The Terminator series is starting to look more confusing and hard to follow that it will make your head explode to understand it all.
Whenever a series has time travel get ready for headaches trying to understand it all.

Jai Courtney isn’t a good actor. He is very wooden like you said. He’s passable at best in his roles. The fact he’s so unrecognisable as being the same character as Michael Biehn is also jarring to me.

Well, from what I’ve seen/read, dark fate is most likely gonna be lame
I love this movie no where near first 2 but still a bad ass movie
i know its not the best terminator movie but i liked the way it turned the story on its head.
we have gone from just re-booting,to ret-conning complete sequels.,maybe they just need to make something original and see if that works,instead of going back each time to restart something,it's getting tiresome.
A problem with both Salvation and Genisys is that they planned for both of those films to be the start of trilogies in advance instead of waiting to see whether they were good or bad. Then when the response to them was bad they just scrapped the planned trilogies. Studios should wait and see whether a film's good before planning sequels to it.
Thing is they did still copy and paste the first three with one sent to protect and one sent to kill. But also, and Dark Fate made similar hypocritical decisions, what people and critics didn’t like in Salvation and ROTM they basically reused in this and Dark Fate.
They don’t like the idea of a human terminator hybrid, yet here is the T-3000 and Grace. They don’t like reusing the same chases sequences, but again they copied and pasted. They don’t like the idea that T3 makes it that judgment day in inevitable, yet they did it again in this movie and the next.
Genisys in my opinion is the worst of the franchise. Far as I am concern I only have the first four, and that’s the Terminator franchise as far as I am concerned.
I get that this movie was a massive let down. I get it.
But it’s a movie about time travel. Anything that this movie screwed up about the lore could be easily fixed by going back further in the original timeline and starting all over again. 🤷♂️
