The ONE funny thing to contrast from this potentially dark battle I will except would be if either chosen dead or Dragonborn starts glitching out and temporarily unable to move unless touched
if they assume DB is a vampire lord, then DB casts turn undead, chosen undead uses undead ramport/alluring skull, neither able to fight
The Dragonborn needs a timeout because Skyrim had crashed to desktop.
i liked both games but it is no contest. also db doesnt need to be vamp lord to turn undead, upper hand DB. even at max stat best equipment across all dark souls games cant compete with sheer immunity from enchanted and enhanced giga gear. unless they nerf the fortify resto loop in the vid, even then you can easily get max immunity without it, 30% here 40% there you get the picture. buuut i wonder if they are gonna select a single standing stone buff or use the aetirium crown for 2. which ones would be used?

Yes but for the chosen undead you have to actually drink the potion in real time, the Dragonborn pops those things like pez in an instant.

I mean I wouldn't be so sure
I mean if this does end with the chosen undead resting in peace that kinda a win since that's his/her whole goal. The curse broken at last.
@@coin2094 Not if they become the Dark Lord.
Honestly, even with divine weapons specifically meant to slay Undead and the ability to devour dragons' souls, the dragonborn is going to have a tough time finding a way to keep the Chosen Undead down. There are two major reasons for this: first, the Dark Soul of the Furtive Pigmy is the soul of Humanity, meaning the dragonborn likely cannot consume it (put it in a black soulstone, maybe, but even that isn't a guarantee). Second (and more importantly), no matter how the Chosen Undead dies, they always come back. Always. Burned to ash, devoured, turned to stone/crystal, smashed, stabbed, electrocuted, dropped, even having their soul yanked out of them (which does happen at the hands of the four kings in one of their attacks). Their curse due to how Gwyn's "blessing of fire" interacts with their Dark Soul means they always return.
I'm excited to see how this plays out and open to the possibilities, but I'm unsure how the Dovahkiin can win in any way that matters, since if the dragonborn dies even once, it's over.
@@Getsugaru The Dragonborn doesn’t need to devour the Chosen Undead’s soul , he can simply use Soul Tear in order to rip it out. Also, the Four Kings don’t deprive you of all of your dark soul when they kill you, as you’re able to still resurrect when you do it, and the Dark Soul alone is the source of Undead immortality.
Imagine the Death Battle ends with “so you’re finally awake”
Imagine it *begins* with "So you're finally awake" and *then* ends with it. Bro got knocked so hard that he didn't just lose, he got time locked.
@@MegaGaming11 then the Dragonborn and the chosen undead are in a similar predicament.

The end of the series is the world covered in ash, doomed to loop infinitely until nothing is left. The rise and fall of Gwyn ... the first chosen felling the first Lord of Cinder ... so on until naught but ash remains, with not even a single ember left to the dead world.
Dawnbreaker will be crucial, I think. Wabbajack could also come in handy, IF it casts the right spell.
The real question is, will they give the chosen unded The "immortality" that makes him come back every time he dies, with the knowledge of the fight, because if not, dragon bone wins for sure with the Dawnbreaker

Nah, see they’re both unstoppable forces. They also double as immovable objects.
You mean the unrelenting force vs the immovable object.
I feel like it's the reverse it would more sense the other way around.

My money is on the Dragonborn.
I really want to see the two of them clash with the Moonlight Greatsword and the Bloodskal Blade. No real point, but a blade beam fight would be cool.

That would be so sick
Man i forgot about bloodskal blade. That greatswords is crazy awesome, but moonlight were at my side, all along
My biggest issue with the Bloodskal Blade is that the beam is incredibly weak... And improving the weapon at a grindstone has no effect on the beam, just the regular melee attack...
@@BaronSengir1008 True but its always nice when bethesda games have weapons with unique models and abilities that arent deadric artifacts. Always a bummer when you to a quest to find the 'Legendary Sword of King Bum-nose' and its just an enchanted iron sword.

@@corvus196 well, DB would also need to account for what the Chosen Undead (CD) could do as well. Regardless who wins, I'm very excited to see this battle. The Dragonborn is strong af and the Chosen Undead REFUSES to stay dead.
The Dragonborn with a Wabbajack will always be unstoppable
Well they’d certainly be unstable

(Its Like troll science and gmod, had a kid together & that kid starting smoking crack 😂)
So Elder Scrolls have a lot of books which, if considered canon for this DB, will make them the Dovakiin win hands down. Things like a single "Fus" from "Fus Ro Dah" being powerful enough to shake mountains ACROSS THE CONTINENT. Also, no delay time between shouts, they can be spammed as much as the Dragonborn wants, so indefinite time freeze shout. Also Daedric Artifacts are MUCH more powerful in lore. Instead of having a tiny chance to 1-hit kill, Mehrunes Razor ALWAYS kills anything it cuts, and there's even some weird stories about it cutting through the universe itself. Also, I'm fairly certain the Skeleton Key should in theory allow the Dovakiin to enter someone's mind and kill their consciousness directly.
Skeleton Key allows anyone to unlock everything even in the abstract level. Mercer Frey used the key to unlock his greater potentials like collapsing a whole cave and literally unlock anything in existence. Dragonborn can use the key to unlock his/her abilities including those from Dark Souls universe which is not even necessary for the hero at this point.
On my very first Skyrim playthrough, I cheesed Alduin with that one dagger with a small chance to instantly kill with a swipe. So I love imagine after like 8 swipes with this puny dagger, T.C.U just folds over like a chair 💀

Heracles from his fight vs. Wukong, right? I knew that felt familiar!

It's actually the full version of the very first Dragon Shout the Dovahkiin learns: Unrelenting Force. made of the Dragon words "Fus" (Force), "Ro" (Balance) and "Dah" (Push). As far as damage goes it's not impressive on its own, but it does send anything it hits flying backwards if they can't resist it.
Hope they add this to the death battle.
I just realize there is one thing that could kill the chosen undead. Aurial's Bow. Hear me out. Basically, the chosen undead actual 'can' die if he were to give up his soul to the first flame, which basically powers the sun. And since Aurial's bow is channeled through the sun, or the 'tear' as they said. The chosen undead would be burned to a crisp similiar to that of the first flame, or rather killed by the very thing his soul was made to power up.
Now take note, I said 'could' not can or will. This is just something I've realized as a theory, I don't know if i'm right or if i'm wrong, so please be civilize when you reply.
I don't think it would work that way. Your soul isn't linked to just any old fire but specifically the sacred flame. The sun in Elder Scrolls isn't fire but a hole in the universe linked to another one made of pure magic. There is nothing linking The Chosen Undead to the not Fire Sun. Also, everything in the game makes it to be a very voluntary thing to link your soul to the fire. I'm not saying it can't be done, but there's nothing in game that I know of that says you can force someone to link their soul to the fire. I don't think that would work. The only way for the Dragonborn to permanently win is to Snuff out all of the Sacred bonfires in lordrun.

Stormcloaks are nords, nords like drinking. Boomstick drinks a lot. They're also more warrior-centric in culture, which he'd like more.
I also had a feeling wiz preferred the imperials because they were more logic than their bloodthirsty Nordic selves called stormcloaks
@@UnswimmingFishYT There's also the fact that they're the rebelling faction, and Boomstick is from the South, which is (in)famous for, well...
Yeah but Wizz said the Stormcloaks are elf funded which makes no sense. The Thalmor can't even invade Skyrim without the Empire, it's on the other side of the planet to their capital 😂
@@lancekemal8989 I don't know how to explain it to you. With respect, you clearly haven't researched the lore of Thalmor supporting the Stormcloaks to keep the war going and weaken the Empire, and Ulfric Stormcloak willingly or not used to be an asset for the Thalmor. The Thalmor even (tried) to set Ulfric free from General Tullius on Helgen to prevent Ulfric's execution and to continue the Civil War. Thanks to Alduin (which was unexpected to the Thalmor for his arrival to indirectly free the Stormcloaks), the Thalmor are able to continue the Civil War between the Empire and the Stormcloak rebels. True, the Thalmor want to avoid Stormcloak victory, but they also want to avoid Imperial victory. The Thalmor banned the worship of Talos and did manage to get the Nords pissed off about it. They knew the Nords revere Talos as a god of man. The Thalmor intentionally got the Nords to rebel against the Empire to keep the Empire distracted while the Thalmor plan on conquering Tamriel once again.
If you go by game mechanics it would be a much more even fight, but if they go by lore then the Dovakhiin absolutely stomps. Ignoring all the Daedric artifacts and just focusing on The Voice, the Dragonborn can cause storms big enough to encompass an entire continent with just a single word, if he actually puts effort in he can reshape the land to cause a flood that somehow contains more water than there is on the whole of Nirn, or cause the sun to go supernova. He can stop, speed up, slow down or reverse time, cause an ice age, a fire storm, there's not much he can't do cause by speaking in the dragon language he's speaking with the power of literal Gods. There's actually a mod called Thunderchild that adds a bunch of shouts that give you the actual power of a lore accurate Dragonborn and it's unbelievable
Even with game mechanics it's not close.
@Charles Smith notice I said much more even, not that it was close. An ant vs a boot is much more even than an ant vs a God my friend
@@jasongordon1968 lmao to be fair that's very true
...No? While most of what you said might be possible (though seems a bit highbally to me), the Dragonborn is limited to pre-existing Shouts, furthermore they are limited to pre-existing shouts that they know (for example, the Dragonborn doesn't know the meteor rain shout Alduin uses). So they can't speed up time, or cause floods, or reverse time, and I highly doubt the Dragonborn has the power to do most of what you listed but those things aren't as wrong as the other stuff.
@Velloah during the events of Skyrim no, the Dragonborn can't do all those things, but in terms of The Voice itself, it's virtually unlimited. And if the Dragonborn knows the word, he can use the shout, that's the whole point of being Dovakhiin. Plus there's straight up a "Slow Time" shout in the game.

I do place my bets on Dragonborn, but the Chosen Undead still has a huge advantage over Dovahkiin with their immortality.
beyond hyped for this!! seems like you guys are definitely on the right track with lore and gameplay interpretation here!
@@Jaceareeno they referenced Kirkbride and the difference between Nirn's Magnus and Earth's Sun when talking about Auriel's Bow, which is already more than I would've expected from a non-elderscrolls account
I do agree with the Dragonborn winning around 100% of the time. Maybe 98% lol
I feel like the tarnished would have been a better opponent for the Dragonborn, but this will still be a fun matchup to watch.
Really the only chance Chosen Undead has is if he’s an amalgamation of all the soulsborne protagonists. Dragonborn has that attack that destroys will and would probably turn the chosen undead hollow. The Hunter and The Tarnished and Sekiro wouldn’t run into issues there but Chosen Undead’s main advantage is resurrection and learning his foe through multiple deaths, which is tied to willpower afaik
Skyrim and Darksouls came out in the same month.
They been rivals for a long time.
I love the “elf funded nord supremacists”. Shows the research has been done
yeah i do find it funny that the stormcloaks are minions of the thalmor empire and are to stupid to figure that one.
That is why I always side with the imperials because they had history with the elven faction known as the thalmor during the great war
And are pretty much smarter than the stormcloaks
Imagine if dragonborn had the broken version of the mark for death shout where the armor debuff was permanent even after respawning.
Don’t forget to calculate the slow time shout mixed with the Ring of Azudal. If using the fire spell, you’ll kill anything you want in a blink of an eye. Don’t even need mods . (The spell stacks with damage over time effects)
I am so hoping the graphics for this death battle are on a similar or close tier to ingame graphics, I don't know if I can take another low graphic video of badasses like this. If I had millions I would fund this fully, however I cannot. Hoping for the best, thanks for this death battle! Can't wait!
Seriously, consider doing a Hi Fi Rush vs No Straight Roads death battle. The two games and their characters are practically perfect to be in one.
I can think of an MU for that, Chai vs Mayday. Could definitely work.
Except nobody knows what those are
@@theCombine25343if they do that then I’ll be putting my money on Chai
@@WesleyB-Rookhi fi rush has been killing it in sales wdym
@@JollySwaggmannpeople have sadly forgotten about no straight roads
It doesn't bode well for the Chosen Undead when they've already referenced beyond light speed arrows and a specifically undead killing blade.
More so it doesn’t bode well when they don’t even talk about the shouts in the preview. Those things can rip islands apart and mess with the fabric of time itself
Yeah, in stats I always assumed chosen undead would get destroyed, the real question is if the dragonborne can find a way to keep him from respawning
@@thejester4130 soul tear (or soul trap…..or mace of molag bal) and a black soul gem
@@thejester4130 short answer: no
long answer: unless he can stop literal time manipulation (this is how bonfires work in dark souls) it would be literally impossible and keep in mind the chosen undead has vow of silence which debatedly can be used to stop shouts
@@sootythunder3111 The Chosen Undead doesn't care about having their soul removed, though. Undead in the Souls universe in general don't need souls to function.
Let's not forget The Dragonborn's ultimate weapon: few good pages of the Lusty Argonian Maid
I knew that Wiz and Boomstick are going to argue between Imperials and Stormcloacks from the day this battle was announced😂
Oh my god! I was kidding about the wabbajack in the last video. I didn't expect them actually want to use the randomness of it for the battle.
You got to include his "whole arsenal" that branching from wooden sword to a dagger that can one shot anything
@@samthek1ng706 and never forget the undead destroying Dawnbreaker.
And the elven god made auriels bow
Didn't even though it would be this awsome duel! Literally the Best one out of series
I don't like how they calculated the speed feat of Auriel's Bow. The arrow doesn't fly _into_ the sun, but instead is fired _at_ the sun. It just creates a dark cloud within the confines of the planet and blots out the sun, much like putting a large block of wood near a light bulb in order to cast a shadow. In-game, you can actually see that the arrow travels at the same speed as any other arrow, so the statement that it's traveling beyond the speed of light is misleading.
1:50 Wait, can you actually DO THAT? I mean, it's not like I'm gonna reinstall Skyrim just to test this out and aww shit here we go again
I think this is the first time I've seen them actually turn a matchup from Death Battle Cast into an actual Death Battle (I've only watched a few Death Battle Casts so I could be very wrong).
Still waiting on that cereal mascot Death Battle by the way.
Battle Royale?
Part of me still wants Golgo 13, one of the longest running manga that shows off the most badass paid assassin
Best option my guess would be Agent 47.
I'm thinking Ryo Saeba from City Hunter or Lupin III's Jigen Daisuke as an opponent for him
👍 Me encantó este video de analizando este personaje para una batalla lo disfruté
Kirkbride was mentioned. Stomp confirmed.
YES THEY DID IT!
2:26 I was genuinely scared thinking they messed up the Mundus thing
What "mundus" thing? What are you talking?
@@Gadget-Walkmen Mundus is the Elder Scrolls Multiverse, the sun is a massive hole in the Multiverse
It would have made more sense for this video to be titled "The Dragonborn Dragon Shouts into DEATH BATTLE!".
Looking forward to this! I've been playing modded Skyrim recently again.
So. Were pitting two maximum wanked, ultra warriors chosen by the gods to save the world, and who both spend their time mastering everything in creation.
This is gonna Sonic Vs Flash with a hint of Chuck Norris vs. Segata Sanshiro, isnt it?
Power wise, but battle wise more like sauron Vs lich king, more than likely
Bruh I was just finna ask y’all to do a Dragonborn vs Tarnished video😂
looking forward to this and other
great match fights .
For everyone who compares the chosen undead to gwynn and the sun, here's a line from the dragonborn's theme song:
Huzrah nu, kul do od, wah aan bok lingrah vod
Ahrk fin tey, boziik fun, do fin gein!
Wo lost fron wah ney dov
ahrk fin reyliik do jul
voth aan suleyk wah ronit faal krein
Which translates to
Hearken now, sons of snow, to an age, long ago
and the tale, boldly told, of the one!
Who was kin to both wyrm
and the races of man
with a power to rival the sun
Checkmate.
Power to Rival the sun doesnt mean stronger than the sun. Just means he's slightly weaker or a fair fight.
@@Roxas5000 nah, sun don't exist in Skyrim, only a massive tear in reality
If the chosen undead's natural immortality doesn't bring him victory, it will be his opponent's inability to hit him. The dovakin has massive health, armor, skills and enchantments that allows him to tank, doesn't even bother to dodge. He only hides for sneak attack bonus. the dovakin's battle plan is either attack spam, tank and heal when necessary or hide sneak attack and repeat as necessary.
The chosen undead however always at the threat of being two shoted, or less. The core of the chosen undead's fighting style is dodge, or parry, then exploit the opening.
In this fight the chosen undead's greatest weakness is his greatest strength.
The chosen undead has plenty of tools in their arsenal to hit the Dragonborn. There's some very whacky spells in the souls series that will force hits, and while less prevalent, the CU has access to a variety of rings they can switch to in real time that will help with their own resistances. My guess is that the Dragonborn will win due to some combination of soultrap, the eclipse with Auriel's bow and a misunderstanding of the undead rebirth. That's how they seem to be setting this up.
Aside from the plethora of spells and dragon shouts There’s also other weapons that could be very useful in this fight like Chillrend a sword that can paralyze any opponent struck with its icy edge. The Bloodskal Blade which can fire a wave of Red Magicka as a projectile which could counter the moonlight greatsword, mehrunes dagger which can insta kill if hit enough with the blade and the champions Cudgel with its chaos enchantment anything hit with the weapon suffers fire, ice and shock damage all at once. Also if they include the anniversary add on that also means the Dragonborn could use The Light Of Day Mace which could be extremely effective on the CU cause beside the sun damage enchantment it has an effect where the weapon does 3x’s it’s normal damage against any undead opponent.
Anniversary is actually canon material. It was clarified that Bethesda carefully reviewed all of it to make sure it was totally lore-friendly, meaning you can treat any item or magic in there as a canon thing.
@@UnswimmingFishYT question is whether or not they’ll be used in the fight cause both characters have A TON of weapons and armor
@@kevindolan9 Most wouldn't matter too much, but Umbra is shown to be capable of some truly ridiculous things.
thats just game mechanics too, the daedric artifacts can do some truely rediculous bullshit things.
the mehrunes razor can instantly kill whatever is cut.
dawnbreaker destroys anyone or anything considered to be enemies of Meridia
the skeleton key is one of the strongest daedric artifacts too, it can literally unlock all things, portals, hidden potential, etc its literally is the concept of unlocking if anything this could honestly kill the chosen undead for good since it can just unlock the chosen undead and free them from the shackles of their curse.
the Oghma Infininum can turn someone into a demigod.
the dragonborn can kill the Chosen undead easily but if they use the ebony blade literally every kill makes the dragon born stronger and if it cuts the chosen undead, it silences him too.
elder scrolls lore isn't anywhere near as grounded as dark souls(the empire once built a space station) and the gods are far stronger and resemble concepts rather just being powerful beings like they are in dark souls.
@@UnswimmingFishYT I’d argue the Light Of Day Mace would be very effective also Chosen Undead is an undead being and that weapon not only does sun damage but also is the only weapon that’s 3x’s effective against the undead in Skyrim. Even more damaging than Dawnbreaker
"I'm gonna spend some time catching up on my elder scrolls lore"
DON'T!!! There's no coming back from that Boomstick
What I think is the DB's biggest ace in his sleave is marked for death. It is an infinitely stackable armor debuff that stays on the target even after respawning. That means that if the CU dies and comes back, he will still have the debuff and it can be applied again to increase the effect.
Just give the Dragonborn the Black Star and a way to get soul trap and the fight is over instantly.
Yea I'm surprised they left out the black star
Because of a black soul gem it would also send him to the soul cairn
One big thing the CU has going for him is the ability to parry and repost the DB.
DB better take this one. He been needed his roses and respect
2:25 "Then we shall fight in the shade."
Well, this preview has officially confirmed that Boomstick would perv over an anthropomorphic lizard as much as he'd perv over an anthropomorphic cat.
I'm really hyped for this fight, its gonna be goooood. Although its a complete stomp, so the winner isn't gonna be a surprise.
It's gonna be Sans vs. Chara - question is if the Chosen Undead will lose his mind before Dovahkiin just stops caring.
Can't wait for this showdown
This battle is going to be amazing!
Sky’s the limit in Skyrim
(Bad joke drum sound)
I used to watch previews like you.
Then I took a search arrow to the knee.
omfg I can't wait for thiisss!
OMG YOU ACTUALLY WENT WITH MY IDEA!! I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!
A legendary series, meets a legendary game
I do think Dawnbreaker is gonna be a integral part of beating the Chosen undead but then again his feats as well are also insane.
And auriel's bow with the sunhallowed arrows that do extra critical damage to undead. And also the other enchanted dawnguard equipment like the dawnguard rune hammer, all of the sun damage spells.
The problem here is if those weapons can brake the undead curse, even in Dark souls lore there are holy weapons created to strike down undead creatures like skeletons but none of these work on the undead, stab a hollow with a holy sword and return after a while he’s back too.
Don’t know if those blessed weapons will work.
@@user-pj1ec5om5g well to be fair we don't really know. It's just safe to assume they will at least do something. Plus, the Dragonborn has a lot of other abilities that were not touched upon in the video.
Plus these are not just merely blessed normal weapons they are literally pieces of all-powerful deities known as daedric princes.
Everything Undead beat was already dying.
@@princeartemis440 yeah and the chosen undead has killed reality bending beings (manus as an example)
Honestly, this is gonna be awesome, loving their match ups lately, now probably won't happen but I would love to see master Chief vs doom guy rematch,Duke Nukem vs Serious same and Ippo Makunouchi vs little Mac
Im happy that they are diving in depth for elder scrolls lore. On the surface elder scrolls just seems like another fantasy world. But then you find characters like pelinal who have broken the laws of the universe and separated himself from the godhead. The dragonborn can go from angry barbarian to a metaphysical monster.
I wonder if Dragon aspect and the vampire/werewolf stuff will be used
With Dragon aspect, meditation, and hidden knowledge from the black books, shouts are all the more powerful
😂...the lusty argonian maid...a classic 😂
Here's a interesting fight I'd like to see since this episode is about magical undead knights from what i can understand since i never played dark souls and skyrim but anyway he's my death battle idea. Tailon(Shadow of Mordor and War) vs Fateless One(Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
