Undo the fast boot option in the power setup. Or you can try to run in CMD shutdown/s /t 0. Turn off the computer

I just got this and my touch screen won’t work at all, how can I fix this
Hi. Thanks for that. Don’t know if others have experienced my problem. I bought 2 new chargers from Amazon and when plugged in the mouse pointer glitches and stops. Occasionally some keys have to be pressed a few times for it to work. As soon as I disconnect it he charger it stops. Now that it has happened with 2 separate chargers I’m beginning to believe it’s the surface pro. Any ideas?
Dunno if you solved this issue. Non OEM chargers can cause a grounding issue. If you place your hand on the back of the monitor to ground yourself and use the touchpad, it should work fine. It happened to me until I replaced it with an original charger.
What about it dimming when auto dimming is clicked off
Download the Intel graphics center. There's an option in there that does this. I believe it's adaptive power something...

Yes, download Intel Graphics Center. Also, the dimmig that you are noticing it's not the brightness, it is the "CONTRAST" make sure you set auto contrast off, I did it on mine a while ago, I can't remember where I found that setting, just try your best. If this doesn't work, then just cover the sensor right next to the front facing camera with some black tape. It will trick the tablet as being turned off in pitch dark, won't mess with your brightness/ contrast anymore.
hi.. i have problems with my surface pro 7
1. after reinstalled, the bluetooth couldn't connect to the pen but it could connect to the mouse & keyboard
2. the speaker won't work unless i use a headset

What do you mean reinstall? clean install? reset?
So only advice for overheating is to buy some oven mitts? Nothing about power settings, or too many apps and tabs going?
So no matter what, hold the button to restart.
Yep. Mine fell off my desk and the screen cracked. Just held down restart button for 15 seconds and it repaired itself.
