  • NOT FOR SALE - TRIBUTE ONLY
This is my tribute to some of the great rock guitar solos from the 70's.
I had to remove Stairway to Heaven because of a copyright issue.
I played all guitars, bass, keyboards and I programmed the drums with a Native Instrument plugin.
All guitars and bass were recorded with the Kemper profiler.
    Thank you for watching!

I shed a wee Scottish tear today. I am a couple of weeks away from my 65th birthday, and the penny finally dropped that in my wildest dreams, I will never ever be able to play guitar like this, BUT, the tear was just as much one of joy because a guy who can play guitar like that took the the time to share it with the likes of me, and in so doing, he has made me want to keep on trying, keep on learning, keep on wanting to be that good even though I know I never will be. God bless you.

What I loved about this comfortably numb solo is how some strokes are timed differently to go along with the drum beat, which makes it more rhytmic

Loved how in sync you were with yourself on Free Bird. This is really great work. Thanks for sharing it.

Stairway denied. No way! Lame how you didn’t play it. It was only a copywrite joke at the time. It’s perfectly fine to play.

Okay. Looks like I finally found one of the infamous "Over ten minutes long" RUclips videos that was actually worth watching all the way through. But you cut it by the short hairs, only eleven seconds over. I'm going to make ten minute vids eventually, and I'm going to try to only go one second over. No reason. Just because. Gabriel Cyr is one damn fine guitarist, people! How many guitar godz can do all of these covers at this level of excellence? Maybe Slash? Probably Buckethead. Maybe Petrucci? Probably Young Taj Farrant by the time he's twelve, But he doesn't count since he's a new species. That's about it. Hell, the only guitar godz BETTER than this guy are dead! I'm going to check out his band. Rock on brother Gabriel!

So humbling to see some of the best sounding and widely respected solos out there, are based almost exclusively on the Pentatonic!

Premièrement, félicitations pour ton prix Guitar player of the year, pleinement mérité, vraiment solide comme guitariste!!! Deuxièmement, belle liste de classiques ici, je viens de partir un duo instrumental avec mon père et je viens de remarquer qu'on a beaucoup de stocks des années 70 de cette liste...!
