This was Prince’s response to being snubbed by Rolling Stone Magazine’s top 100 guitarists. He certainly proved his point here. And the strutting off stage at the end. Priceless.
Prince didn’t do this in rehearsal. That’s why he kept looking at Petty to see if it was okay to keep going. Petty was happy to oblige and keep singing the chorus while Prince had his moment.
The smile on Dhani Harrison’s face (George’s only son) while he watches Prince play….his joy is palpable. The strut as Prince leaves speaks volumes…..that was a master class performance for the history books.
Dhani Harrison's face is my favorite part of the video. His natural reactions help put this video in God mode. I'm pretty sure God has this on VHS somewhere.
Look up interviews of the other dudes talking about when It happened. Said he didn’t show up for the rehearsals or anything Or came late after they were done.
Prince just stands there in the background, walks to the front, melts our faces with that solo, refuses to elaborate, throws away the guitar, walks off the stage.
It was a consummate "mic drop" 0:29 moment. So much talent on that stage, and Prince blew the top off of it. While I'm at it, damn I miss Tom Petty. This video gives me chills every time I watch it.

I dunno about that. But Prince was an unparalleled musical genius and I will always worship the ground he walks on in that regard. Utter mastery of the guitar.
Prince's solo is obviously epic in this, but Tom Petty's volcals fit so damn perfectly in this song, it's surreal. It's like it was made for him to sing. Gives me chills.
The whole damn performance still gives me chills. Alllll that talent on one stage performing a classic song written by an absolutely amazing artist posthumously... And even having his son on stage playing along side these legends.... EPIC is all I can say.
Like a child waiting for his first Christmas presents. He can’t wait, and what a present it was. Prince is just the best, so versatile and so so talented on many instruments. Had music in so many genres. If you go down in his deeper catalog you will be amazed. Saw him in 2014 in Amsterdam, best concert I’ve ever been. What a legend!
The reaction of the other musicians towards Prince during his solo tells you everything you need to know about the absolute genius that he was. He will never not be missed.
So true. When Dhani Harrison, a kid who grew up around rock legends, his own father one of them, when he smiles and nods at you while you go off on a solo- man you know your doing somthing right
If you are or have been a pro musician, seeing how Prince handles his guitar, let alone the gold he frees up for us, its clear as fuck he was just a master musician... any decent pro probably just nods their head..the other guys on stage knew...people who aren't musical will never get the different perspective we have, spending years inside music in a way that unless you are or have been a pro is just a way of hearing that is privileged, but not as a dice roll, from hours of building the craft. Prince. However he got to here who gives a fuckadoodle do...all round master musician and showman...🙏
welp... actually sorry about bursting the bubble, but Dhani was not too happy with Prince taking over and going off on the solo in such way. He said so in an interview. It's around the RUclipss somewhere
Time and history tell the tale. Both Petty and Prince die from drug over doses. Jimi Hendrix is arguably one of the greatest guitarist, never claimed to be the greatest, because he knew. He knew that the greatest doesn't ever have the ability to bestow that crown.
I've seen this video maybe 500 times but only today I noticed for the first time that when Prince drops his back onto the bodyguard during his solo not only do Tom Petty and Dhani Harrison laugh at the scene, but the superband guitarist leans over Jeff lynne to watch better the scene. classy!😂
Rolling Stone Magazine certainly forgot. A few days before this concert, they made a Top 100 Guitarists of All Time list, and Prince wasn't on it. Those same Rolling Stones editors were in the audience at this show, which is why Prince laid it out then walked on out.
I don't think they forgot, it's the gatekeepers of Rock n Roll music where the guitar defines rock music, and Prince not being considered a rock musician. But make no mistake he'll murder most rock guitarist. Definately in the top 5 greatest guitarists.
I love George Harrison sons smile as he stands unashamedly in awe watching Prince solo. Not trying to look cool. Just being real. Everyone on that stage is a class act and they all contrived to make the space for that genius Prince iconic moment.
I can't stop watching him enjoying the moment, and what a damn epic moment he lived, i have goosebumps every time watching and listening this master piece!
They did not contrive...they had no way to stop an unstoppable force like Prince. In this performance, everyone who played (except for Dhanni Harris) guitar at this gig looked like a total amateur compared to Prince's (beyond) masterful playing, and to their shame (after disrespecting him by putting him almost off stage and in the shadows) he dominated, humbled and showed who was boss, ended the presentation with his own unique style. Most awesome!
@@kaviyaneskandari2316 I understand you are trying to burn him with that comment. Prince was every bit as good as Hendrix. Knopfler, like Clapton was more of a stylist. Hendrix and Prince could melt your face off.
@@kskisser you are certainly right with that. I am in no way belittling his talent. And way to go saying they could melt my face off.. that's basically insinuating, that their style of playing was destructive. I thought it has been uplifting and full of joy. But I can see you have a lot of negativity pent up. I'm just putting Knopfler in his rightful place above them all. This doesn't mean that I am 'burning' him with that comment. And neither have I implied that I was better than any of them. I look up to all of them❤️
I don't know how many times I've watched this and everytime Prince's solo brings me to tears. It's the greatest rock guitar solo of all time. Period. It's got everything: passion, emotion, virtuosity, showmanship and it fits in perfectly with what the others are playing.
George Harrison’s son smiling before and during Prince solo, shows you everything, and the way Prince smiles at Tom Petty, like “let’s do this,” and Tom Petty giving him the silent nod to tear it up. (Tom Petty before the performance told Prince to go for it.) Legends, icons. We won’t see another performer like Prince. Man was a true showman and entertainer, combined with genius level talent.
What I like most about Prince’s solo is that while he does get a little technical, he maintains harmony with the other players instead of devolving into mindless shredding.
He does the guitar crying while Petty sings the lyric to it. Together they give us the guitarist, voice and guitar sounds. It's really brilliant stuff.
This solo proves beyond any doubt that Prince was a musical genius... My favorite part was the look of both amazement and joy on Dhani Harrison's face...
This has to be one of the greatest guitar solos in music history and those in attendance had no idea they would witness a guitar virtuoso. RIP Prince and TP
The look on Dhani Harrisons' face as he watches Prince absolutely kill it in his Dad's song is Priceless, he knows how awesome it is and he is right there with him on stage. So good!
@@joelhenry5489 blown away, but not in a great way. He wasn’t a fan of how Prince would mislead them in practices with what kind of solo he was planning.

Like, everyone there had to know that when Prince started tearing shit right up, they were in a serious moment. It must be electric.
I don’t think you can reach power levels much higher than Prince casually walking on stage, standing on the side the whole song, and then busting out into one of the best guitar solos in history, returning your guitar back to heaven, and then casually walking back off stage again. He knows he just rocked everyone’s world, and he doesn’t even stay to get applauded. Absolute legend.
@@rezos666 yeah to me that’s just a part of the show I guess, I can’t really judge him because I feel like he’s almost earned it with his pure ability alone
In 2004 Rolling Stones Magazine omitted Prince's name as one of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time. This performance was his answer to the Magazine.
No matter if you liked him or not, you can't deny that Prince was an absolute genius: he killed it on guitar, bass guitar, drums, and piano, he composed every notes of his songs...I call it genius. RIP legend.
I saw him play at Paisley Park in 1998. I lived in Minneapolis and he invited the entire audience of his sold out concert at the Target Center to his "house" after. We stood out in the cold but I am sooo glad we did. No drinking. No drugs. He played every instrument all night long. Absolutely incredible talent.
Absolute genius and amazing musician without a doubt but while he wrote most of his songs, some were written with other composers. Purple Rain for instance was written by Wendy and Lisa just to give you an example.
While the song was a tribute to George, Prince was inducted the same night and you got to love that Tom is paying homage to him with his purple shirt. The man was pure class.
Throws the guitar, and struts off stage, CLASSIC. The outfit, the guitar, the patience, the showmanship, the TALENT. Man, Prince truly was a legend and SEVERELY underrated as a guitar player. As a performer he was truly unmatched and left it all on stage. RIP PRINCE.
It really is such a pity, that the media placed so much focus on Prince dress style, what he wore on and off the stage.😢 What they should have been focusing on and sending out to all people was that many loved his music and how incredibly great he was on that guitar. Wow! Can Prince play that guitar, which was the first time for me. . That man had tremendous talent and for some reason I didn't even know it. 🕊️ Can that guy play or what🎉. I was mesmerized. Never knew he could play guitar like that? What the hell took everybody so long to get that message out to me!! Well at least I'm going to see it now. What a great send off for George Harrison and I believe the guy in the back might just have been his son 🥰😘😘
@@SiFiClark I think I've been in love with all types of music since I've been about 14 years of age. I even had the opportunity at working one of the arenas where Prince was the performer for that evening. I wanted to see him, as many rumors were going around about how weird he looked, such as. people in my office, comedians making fun of the way Prince dressed and acted. So overall I would say here and there , I would hear derogatory statements made about anartist named Prince. So I had to go see for myself which I did and I thought he was outstanding 💥💯💥. So that's the unfortunate part of the story. I hope I cleared that matter up for you, and now he's gone 🙏 Today everyone says what a great musical genius he was. If only they had told him that more often when he was alive!! I find it to be a very sad, sad prejudice story!! Have a great weekend!💥💯💥
They invited him to play together with them, they had a reason to do it, they enjoyed it as much as everyone else. The other solo player was playing the original solo, they all had their part, it was not a competition. Blasting anyone else there was not the point.
It’s how they hide Prince until the solo that just increases the impact of his incredible talents, and that moment when Dhani Harrison smiles knowing what is about to happen and how we will all be blown away
That's because all the other musicians heard him in rehearsal and said, "Prince, dude. You've got to go last. No one can follow that..." If you know a guy is about to light the piano on fire make sure it's the end of the show.😂
@@davidleslie1127 love that! I can imagine Killer setting the piano on fire with Jimi burning his guitar, but this time because they saw Prince play play
@@davidleslie1127 I'm not sure if the other guys got to hear this in rehearsal. If I remember the story correctly, Prince was supposed to do a solo midway through the song, but during rehearsal another musician up and decided he himself was going to play all the solos himself and Prince just kind of went along with it. There wasn't going to be another chance for a rehearsal with Prince so the director had a talk with him about what was going to happen and Prince basically told him not to worry about it, that he'll come in at the very end and to just let the other guy do whatever. That's why when he starts his solo during the actual show, he bursts out of nowhere and at times it's almost like he's mocking the other guy. But pretty much leading up to that, only Prince knew what he was going to do.
Ashame he talked a bit of shit afterwards about him and this performance. He said his smiling was because he thought it was awkward and he wasn't enjoying it and he was a buffer between the others. The others who he said were probably thinking the same thing, God this is awful etc. He's full if it. He cleary loved it
Prince was such a criminally underrated guitarist. I’ve seen this dozens of times and I still get chills. I also love seeing Dhani Harrison geek out while watching him.
What the fuck are you talking about? He is widely considered one of the greatest ever to pick up the instrument. His ability not only to compose but to play and improvise is fucking legendary.
Prince gives me chills when i watch this. But i gotta give props to the sound engineer, the mix on this is incredible. To be able to hear everyone on that stage and all the vocals live is almost impossible.
Your comment just gave me the chills! You are absolutely correct! You are not supposed to hear the acoustic guitar, so cleanly! Sound engineer did that!
5:25 gives me goosebumps every time i watch. Every note, chord, scale, and rhythm guitar tempo intensity changing is immaculate. Pure maestros and their work. People were so lucky to experience this live. And Princes facial expression showing that he will hit F in the right time and them understanding it just wow. What a musicians....
He's never really been given full credit for the amazing musician he really is. I listen to this song ALL the time. Idc how many years ago it was, it's a classic, love Tom Petty RIP and a master class from Prince. RiPP (Rest in Purple Peace) 😎🎸💯✌️
Simple they just have to have a high enough IQ to appreciate how art is a reflection of the culture at the moment to be entertained by it but if there character is empathetic and there ability to relate a feel the human condition, well then they also know prince was trying to push pull or drag us into the future but with style and grace just to show off 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He was dressed like a gangster. He stole the show. Not a dry pair of panties in the house. The other musicians were just grateful to be on the stage with him.
He would never actually put his (fake) Telecaster (Hohner Madcat) in danger. That is the instrument that played every note of every recorded guitar you ever heard from him. It's not a Fender; but it's his baby, just the same.
He was maybe not a virtuoso in all those instruments that he played, but even the fact that he was a virtuoso on multiple instruments, great singer, great songwriter, and was at least decent at dozens of instruments just goes to how one of a kind he was as a musician.
Kevzilla, how is Prince a narcissist? Look at Dhani smiling at Prince. His smile just sums up. Pick up your guitar which seems to gently weep right now.
Haha, you can't put the genie back in the bottle. You give prince a solo and it's gonna be the solo he wants to play in that moment no matter what was discussed prior to going on stage and I have absolutely no problem with that.
Oh man, RIP Tom Petty, RIP Prince, RIP George Harrison. All the lads. I can even imagine the angelic primordial sounds they are making in the after life.
And all the rest too. Do I get to play my G&L does the Lord like Fender amps too. I'm seventy years old and being a drug crazed hippy back then I didn't think I'd live past 48. Why 48 ? I have no idea but nowadays being old and worn out I can't wait to leave this world.I'm being honest here.
Prince Rogers Nelson.. I bought his first album.. and just about everything after. one of the greatest musicians ever... truly missed. .. may he rest peacefully. Respect!
It’s not just the guitar playing. It’s the outfit, the dancing, the bit where he falls offstage and the big guy catches him… it’s the PRINCE of it all!
What is also cool about Prince's solo here is that he is constantly checking in with Petty so as not to stomp on the vocals. Great musicianship and sensitivity to the song. And Dhani is digging it!
@@meagainokay7673 I like your point. Its not like he just showed up a winged it. I like the fact that Prince was a diva but showed his respect for the Man? Or his music. That was a claa act on his part. In 1983 i saw a part of the ARMS concerts for Ronnie Lane. 1st set had watts. Cocker. Clapton and Beck. Never new about becks music. Him and clapton went back an forth with the lead. 2d set was page. Paul brown an a heavy metal set. Ok. Then 3rd set all came out did 4 yardbirds songs. Then went into cream classics. White room. Crossroads. Strange brew. Tales of brave ullysses. I feel free. Page was a bystander. Clapton and Beck were impressive with their back an forth lead playing. 40 years ago. I didnt even realize what a show it was.
@@meagainokay7673 It is easy to go long with popular opinion here. I think Prince was a very good lead guitarist, not great like Hendrix who shaped a style some of which can be heard in Prince's solo. I am not sure if you play guitar or not, I do. I can tell you that it is hard to drop in like he did and perform well. All I ever wanted to be was a lead guitarist because it is possibly the best example of living in the moment and making it mean something. It is what jamming is all about and I appreciate his ability and willingness to do so on a big stage. He in many ways embodied live performance by "real musicians' as he put it no matter the outcome. The break has a few very good moments and mostly is fitting to the song, like starting around 5:06. It is not the best lead break ever however and I know if he were here today he would say the same thing.
@@meagainokay7673 Appreciate the link. If pull offs and arpeggios that never end is your thing then I guess it is okay. There are really two distinct lead playing styles out there: Ones that show off a player's proficiency and others that are from the heart. I prefer the latter. Not to say his lead break is bad. Note that he plays the same licks over at times however. No matter the complication, this a very taboo thing to do on a lead break. But even Prince does the same thing in places. So a technically proficient solo that lacks heart on a song that demands it is my take. I am not terribly impressed with either and I think I can do just as good or better in a particular moment, not to sound egotistical.
This single video to show anyone who says "why was Prince a big deal?" Arguably one of the most talented musicians and showmans of all time. RIP true king of pop.

This is one of my favorite RUclips videos and Dhani Harrison's reaction to Prince is my reaction every time I watch this. Which is several times through the year. It's my favorite George Harrison song and, I mean, it's just a fantastic performance of everyone, but omg Prince's performance seals it for me. Oh dang. So good
It's also the way he's virtuoso, channelling something other worldly in ability and execution... while never being out of step with the song, the rest of the band, or the spirit of the night. A solo that requires the deterity and emotional depth, the soul, to be able to balamce the sun and it's power on the head of a pin.
3:25 the look of excitement on Dhani Harrison's face is my favorite moment because he knows that he is about to witness one of the greatest moments in rock history. I've watched this a thousand times.
I saw him in an interview and he said the big smile was because he wasn’t sure how Tom and Jeff were going to react to Prince’s playing. Rehearsals were a straight shooting rendition and here comes Prince like a fireball tearing the place up.
My earlier comment has been scrubbed because I spoke the truth. Prince was awesome in this, but his attitude was so disrespectful when he "guitar dropped" and walked offstage as if saying..."I am better than all of you." He was so insecure that he couldn't be humble enough around other musicians who have clearly honored and respected him. What a loser...sad, sad, man.
@@jerseyjoe82364Actually it was the opposite. In the rehearsal they kinda underestimated and shunned Prince. He left the rehearsal early. You can tell Prince is very quiet and is perceived as mysterious by most. Prince showed them what time it was on that stage. That's why he threw the guitar in the air. He wasn't even using his custom symbol guitar. It wasn't arrogance but excellence.
@@jerseyjoe82364 - Olivia Harrison tried to have Prince removed from the tribute to George. The producer pushed back and made Tom Petty the peace keeper. In just one solo... Prince takes one of the Beatle's most memorable songs and ensconces it in the Pantheon of Rock's Greatest Songs. His genius is more than just conjuring the perfect solo, but bringing to his master class performance an energy, a magnetism and a passionate charisma that transcends the genre.

Damn that’s the sad truth I never realized his talents until after his death the same with Chris Cornell and I’ll never get to see them perform live…….. what a loss
I feel ya. I think we all have so many discoveries to make for music. Now that we have the internet, decades of music to catch up to, plus - believe it or not - tons of great new artists, it's hard to blame anyone for not knowing or appreciating every great artist from any decade, living or dead.
Yes..but at the very end you can see Dahni looking for Prince who has left the stage before the applause ends and at the very very last second Dahni appears to throw his arms in the air and shrugs...kinda sad.
I think a lot of people forgot just how good a guitarist Prince was. This proves it. And look at the absolute joy on his face as he plays it. That's the way every guitarist feels when we nail a solo.

I love how Prince didn't show up to practice, stood back through half the song then suddenly took over the guitar solo, stole the show, then threw his guitar up and strutted off the stage. It was his middle finger to the rock world for always snubbing him as one of the greatest guitarists in history. They didn't snub his guitar playing after that performance which to this day is considered one of the greatest guitar performances in history!!
Prince did show up to practice and Marc Mann, a studio musician who worked with Jeff Lynne, stepped on the first solo of two set aside for Prince 1:57 because it was his only shot doing anything anyone would ever see on a large stage. Prince evidently was non plussed by somebody attempting to upstage him and said he would just take the outro solo and just waited for his solo live to let everyone know who they were actually playing with 3:29.
Prince. However he got to here who gives a fuckadoodle do...all round master musician

Rolling Stone Magazine certainly forgot. A few days before this concert, they made a Top 100 Guitarists of All Time list, and Prince wasn't on it. Those same Rolling Stones editors were in the audience at this show, which is why Prince laid it out then walked on out.

Uhhh. Who forgot? It's kind of why Prince is famous.. cos he's an amazing musician.. these kind of comments are moronic

How anyone could say that Prince wasn't in the pantheon of greatest guitar players in history is out of their freaking mind.

Such a sweet soul in that moment I feel it was a moment of respect pretty cooll.
If we believe the stories (and music stories are inherently unreliable) he didn’t know what was to come. None of them did.

Prince Rogers Nelson.. I bought his first album.. and just about everything after.
one of the greatest musicians ever... truly missed.

Respect!
It’s not just the guitar playing. It’s the outfit, the dancing, the bit where he falls offstage and the big guy catches him… it’s the PRINCE of it all!
That Part!! Oh and that sly grin! 💜
Prince be princin'
Dhani's face when he and Prince look at each other.
My man is a PERFORMER!
I saw him in concert 3 times. He was EPIC 💜💜💜
What is also cool about Prince's solo here is that he is constantly checking in with Petty so as not to stomp on the vocals. Great musicianship and sensitivity to the song. And Dhani is digging it!
Great point dude
Tru dat
Agree, except I'd say it's inarguable.
Neh, MJ was the King Of Pop, Prince is the king of Telecasters lol
And that is the truth! The day after we lost him I saw where someone online asked just that very question, so I replied just with this video. About 6.5 minutes later he posted; "Wow. Just.. wow."
Compared to George Harrison prince was underrated so were many other singers and bands and duets who were far more talented than Harrison its a strange nonsensical world we live in
@@tonydoherty2190 Prince was DEFINITELY not underrated and sure, there were bands more talented than George, but he definitely deserved all the fame he got, others just didn't get enough
Oh dang. So good
The energy he brings to the band during his solo is insane. You can feel it. That’s the sign of a true rock star.
I think just having the balls to believe that the solo section was meant for him! ROCKSTAR! Rest in peace purple one.
It's also the way he's virtuoso, channelling something other worldly in ability and execution... while never being out of step with the song, the rest of the band, or the spirit of the night. A solo that requires the deterity and emotional depth, the soul, to be able to balamce the sun and it's power on the head of a pin.

Me too. I get chills and tearful sometimes. Prince was amazing
Yes. So sweet!!
I saw him in an interview and he said the big smile was because he wasn’t sure how Tom and Jeff were going to react to Prince’s playing. Rehearsals were a straight shooting rendition and here comes Prince like a fireball tearing the place up.
Yes,sir!!!
Legend has it after that performance, that same guitar 9 months later gave birth to 3 beautiful children
It did also need a cigarette immediately after the performance as well😎

Prince was looking over at Tom for affirmation! Tom was in awe. I hope they’re jamming like this in heaven.
Of course Prince was a bit uncomfortable which is why he kept looking at Tom for reassurance but he was not disrespectful. When Prince passed away Tom addressed the performance on his radio show and talked about how gracious and humble Prince was through the entire experience. He made the performance epic. Your comment has no merit and makes you seem bigoted.

Prince got on that solo and just absolutely shredded the entire building's faces off. Absolutely masterful.

I was never a fan of Prince's music but his solo absolutely 'knocked my socks off'. One of the best pieces of showmanship and guitar styling I've ever seen. What a pity we lost him so soon.
Damn that’s the sad truth I never realized his talents until after his death the same with Chris Cornell and I’ll never get to see them perform live…….. what a loss

Yes..but at the very end you can see Dahni looking for Prince who has left the stage before the applause ends and at the very very last second Dahni appears to throw his arms in the air and shrugs...kinda sad.
Prince’s solo on this is untouchable, but for me Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne’s controlled singing and playing allow for the solo to shine.
@toddbutler..voices blend so well together..
The display of respect is often overlooked.
Very well put. Jeff Lynne is a phenomena
Well observed 👍🏻
Untouchable because nobody would purposely play something with no feeling.
I have watched this numerous times and it still gives me cold chills! Best guitar solo ever!
Prince's solo is one of the best representations on why it's super important to have good vibrato technique. His feel and vibrato are amazing
His vibrato is thin and narrow and sounds like hes on crack.
Yah I mean it's advanced musical types of theory into the future of rock and roll...
You got that right...😮
I think a lot of people forgot just how good a guitarist Prince was. This proves it.
And look at the absolute joy on his face as he plays it. That's the way every guitarist feels when we nail a solo.
I thought PRN was just an okay guitarist until his new years eve 1999 performance made me a believer. Generational talent 👏🏾
TRUST ME THEY DIDN'T FORGET 💯 HOW 🎸🔥🎸🔥🎸🎸🎸🔥🔥🔥
Had the profound fortune to see Prince with great seats. He played EVERY instrument on stage, including a harp. Complete and utter BRILLIANCE!
All self-taught, as I understand 😊
Me and my wife who was high school sweethearts we saw the Purple Rain tour twice and Prince through her his necklace, we still have it to this day LOL I was pissed at the time because he did it on purpose but it was pretty cool didn't take long for me to tell everybody about it LOL
I saw Prince in MSG for the Purple Rain tour. I remember him doing 3 encores. Fantastic show and music. We all danced together on our seats, the floor, wherever 😂❤everyone had a blast 😂

I honestly don't know how one person could have so much creative talent and prowess. I hate to be one of those people who just GUSH over someone famous, but this man was tapped into the universe in a way no other artist before him was.

I heard that... pretty cool.
Prince was truly a master of the guitar. His technical precision was awe-inspiring, whether it’s intricate fingerpicking, lightning-fast solos, or complex chord progressions. Beyond the technique, his ability to convey raw emotion through his playing is what sets him apart-every note seems to tell a story. Prince had a unique style that blends with Rock music , making his solos instantly recognizable and deeply impactful. Watching or listening to Prince play is a reminder of what true artistry sounds like.
So glad Prince got to gift this performance to the world before he passed. What a prodigy.
