Fun & informative! Thanks for the video and discount code, Rob.
Great review!! Thanks Rob!!
That's a solid looking light!
Your review was very illuminating.
Looks good! I went with the bestva pro2000 this year. Its actually working better than hps in some regards; peppers fruited on the first round of flowering and were very productive. Harder to start seedlings because of lack of heat but I plan to try heat mats next round. The specs are almost identical to the one you use, just about 100 more watts. These things are the future
Great review my friend. Thats an impressive light ...
That seems to be a very well made light. Separate power supplies are always a plus. Good luck next week, and hi to Catt
Thanks, you too!
I clicked the amazon link expecting sticker shock, its honestly not as bad as I was expecting. I plan on redoing my basement this summer including my grow area, so maybe I can finally make the jump to LED. Would love to see a follow-up video after you put some hours on the thing!
Safety first in the grow room. Power stuff should be positioned above the waist, and water stuff below. You don't want to knock over a watering can onto electricity.
I wonder if giving the basement a fresh coat of white paint would help reflect more light back toward the plants not that they need it they look so beautiful. Glad the light wasn't damaged. Great video Rob.
I'm sure white paint would help. We have to decide what we're going to do down there. The walls would have to be prepared before we could paint them. When a previous owner painted them, as you can see, it didn't stick very well.
Hi Rob, I have this lamp and love it. I have seen people take other folding lamps and un bolt the hinge and swing one side around to cover a 6' long table.
That's a good idea, thanks!
nice!
No joke, but I have this light and I just bought a $35 shop light and 🤔 I kid you not I wish I could show you I am getting the same results. It's proof these are way over priced lights with fancy marketing words that draw people in. But 😀 you can't beat free. 👍🏻 great video.
Hi Rob, We found this video interesting and informative. Two of these lights could definitely support all of our seedling's needs. Calculated risk is our second run at your collaborated sauces and it was really flavorful. We wish you all the best this season. Owen wants to know, - on first transplant- is this just for more space, different environment, or do you transplant into amended soil? Thanks Rob, Steve-n-Owen
Hi Steve and Owen! I start multiple seeds in small cells that would be too small to grow for 2-3 months. That's why they are transplanted into larger pots(bags) until they're ready to go outside.
I got 2x KS300 lights after watch your video. I’m currently 4 weeks in and have my seedlings under this light with 50% power. When did you bump up to 75%?
Of course, it depends on distance from plants, but I think after 6-8 weeks.
Hi Rob,
How have the lights held up? I’m getting ready for new seeds to be planted and wanted to know if you have other light recommendations.
There are now XS as well as P versions now.
Which models are you happiest with?
We will likely be growing just 1 or two trays total.
Thanks 😊
All of my Viparspectra lights are still working well. The P600 might be enough if you're only doing two trays.
Hi Rob. I planted hot pepper seeds 4 weeks ago and not one has popped up. I have them on a warmer at 85 degrees F. Should I keep waiting or replant? I’m in MN too so I don’t have much time
Hi Eric. 4 weeks is a long time. I'm thinking your environment may be too warm or not moist enough. You are a little late to replant. I'm sorry to say that you may want to consider buying plants this season. Good luck!
@@7PotClub thanks!
Hi Rob, could you tell me where you got those heavy-duty plastic trays you using to hold plants in bags?
Sorry for the delay. They are from Bootstrap Farmer and they are super sturdy. They only seem to have pink in stock on Amazon right now, but they come in a few different colors. amzn.to/3uPwAtW
@@7PotClub Thanks so much! color not a problem (I'm sure my wife will like it :D)
Rob,How to prune peppers if you want more yield? Shall I cut off the top of it? Can you make a video about pruning?
I have made some videos about topping. Here is the first: ruclips.net/video/mWH7twipnZk/видео.html
But I don't do it anymore. I've not sure it actually increases yield.
I’m in the middle of my first topping experiment and i gotta say I like the non topped ones more. 12 super hots and I topped half. I sowed the seeds January first 2022 and they are 3 1/2 months old now in my indoor grow tent. Only a full season will tell.
Not on topic but what size are those grow bags. I ordered some and they are smaller than I’d expected.
They're 5.5x6.3". 14x16cm is the same thing. Here's a link: amzn.to/3r9LARw
@@7PotClub thank you. Happy growing!
i have like 40W lleds and they are like 50cm high and somehow i burned plants.
I think it's similar to hardening plants in sunlight. They have to get used to the light. I had some grow light scalding this year too.
For the record my capsicum plants have done more damage to humanity than my cannabis plants 😂
You know I know what you mean!
