This light is insane ! Went from Ac Infinity 100w light to this and figured I’d use the same amount of watts +/- (60w) only a little higher above the canopy.. I fried them 😅 Had to raise the lights probably 40 cm more… Yes, I’m a noob
Nice video with a lot of information but I'm still a little lost with all their models. Could you tell me which one to choose to get the best result in 39"x39". FC-3000/ FC-E3000/ FC EVO 3000? And why are the prices so different between these 3 models? Thank you for your clarification
Hey fella, love your reviews, you are my go to channel every time! How would 4 of these do In a 5x5? I can't use one large fitting as I'm planning on using the tent for a 2 stage perpetual flower grow and therefore need different heights. Cheers :)
@@aaronjaca yeah it is a very good light well worth it, but my tent was to big for it so i got a new tent, a 100x100x200 and then we just had a really cold cappy winter so it's hard to say what you will pull from it, i got a good 6oz from it and maybe 3 more crappy oz.but this was one of the worst grows i've seen lol and just happened to be mine.just starting a new run and about to start summer so really looking forward to the next one

What’s better the FCE or F.C. the fixed light with Samsung and Osram only had 894 diodes or the removable bars fcE , bridgelux diodes 1194 that’s what uk choices are
From what i understand, the Mars Hydro stuff is quite ok, but their support is horrible. Also the app seems real bad, 1,5 Stars out of 5. After long research i personally would recommend Lumatek or SANlight or Greenception. Lumatek seems to offer the best value for money, i'd go with the 3000 pro for 1m x 1m.
i'm debating between choosing the FC-E3000 and the Medic grow mini sun 2 for a 2x4 closet grow. They are both approximately the same kind of figures in terms of price ($200) usable PPF.... photon efficiency was a little btter on the MH (231 vs 212) with Med Grow just beating the MH on benchmark yields (506 vs 491). What i had read was that both these companies were lacking in after sales service, spare parts etc.Any thoughts ? Any thoughts ?
If I'm not mistaking, Medic grow lights gets very hot. Not 100% sure, please check it. Didn't know about after sale lacking, I will check that because that's important (5 years warranty don't mean sh**t if they don't honnor it). Thanks

Do you know your FC tests are from the old Mars FC version 1 , the updated FC design has 3 rows of diodes per bar not 2 like it your videos, the design was updated about a year ago, I have the 3 row diode updated version. Your comparing par maps to a discontinued design with a third less diodes. Anyways I'm surprised you don't know so thought i'd share. Cheers
@@PeterKKraus FCE is a budget light, I was just saying Dr Coco is comparing the par to the old original FC design which isn't a fair comparison. I have FCE & FC bars, prefer FC myself but there both good for the price.
Yeah it’s slightly bigger, it’s so freaking bright compared to the FCE, and the SE3000 uses Samsung diodes where the FCE uses bridgelux diodes. Don’t get me wrong for the price the FCE you can’t go wrong. But if you want to get it either the 1st time I’ll spend a lil extra and get the spider farmer

Yes! It had a few UV diodes when I tested it, but more recent models have gone without. I probably would have guessed 462. Did anyone get it exactly? I got the MF 2000 for $99 on an Amazon lightning deal not long after I bought the Hydra 3200.
I agree with you brother, not much price difference to grab a little bit extra quality. Plus I like that you can move the light bars around on the spyder farmer.
While the light itself seems awesome, the smart function is lacking. Bluetooth is inconsistent and the app isn't the best. I think I'm going to have to buy a timer to regulate the light schedule instead of using the "smart" technology.
They designed the light so it's easy to repair because the bridgelux don't last. Mars Hydro know it's easier to send separate bars when warranties start piling up. If you want longevity get the FC series with the Samsungs.
@@louche33 Come on dude. I've used the FCE and diodes burning out in the 2nd grow. Many people having the same issue. Mara hydro send you out a new bar under warranty. They know they aren't as reliable that's why the light is designed the way it is. For easy repair.
If you go 2 x 4, the Atreum Hydra 3200 is a great value. $377 after mj coco discount. You can have it 2 feet from the canopy at 50% and be in liw veg territory.
Should you ever need customer service in a bad situation I'd rather not depend on mars hydro. I'm in that position as we speak and I can tell you for sure they will never get another $ from me. I wouldn't run a free light from them without a backup on hand because if it fails your plants will die long before they even try to help. I just lost my mother's and clones to a ts3000 that is only 4 months old and am being run in circles by customer service so I am admittedly bitter.
