I've been watching your shows for some time, outstanding work. Especially running lights Parallel and the effects, thanks, finally I see how use these type of lights. I have 2 viparspectra p4000
Thank you Doc! I'm going to use this review to get the light set up to optimize the output in my 4x8. As always, you're killing it with the reviews! 🌱💚
Will you get your hand on the fc-e version of this light, i have a fc-e8000 and im super impress about it, i just ordered the fc-e1000 i hope getting about the same performance for an extra 2x4 area coverage
I have found when running 1000w lights with a physical size of 4x4 over a 5x5 your better off raising it higher instead of dimming it, like to 30" or so, especially if you have multiple fixtures
Thank you for this detailed review. I wonder if there is a difference in wattage between setting the physical dial to 75% versus using the phone app to set it to 75%? I'm running a FC-8000 in a 4x4 flower space at your videos recommended 12in height and 75% setting. The plants are doing great in every inch of that space. Thanks again!
Killer. I do love the changes in the bar style, similar to the Spider-Farmer G-4500 that I am using and the SE series as well have the same heat dissipation styled led bars, the FC-E3000 that I have has the fins on top of the bars. Mars-Hydro is killing it. Wonder what it would do on a light rail?
Are You planning to review one of new mh fc-e series. It seems like they reduced ammount of diods increased power supply and changed the design. I wonder how new fc-e 6500 comares to previous ones.
Trying to buy 6 of these on the mars website. The site descriptions dont match up with the item selected. Descriptions are the same for 2 different 1000W lights but prices are different… no one answering the customer Support phone number.
I'm running a Medic Grow Smart8 in half of my 4x8 and need another light for the other half, so I think I'm going to buy this light. If i do, it will be the Evo version. I plan on running it dim, but I wonder if there's a trade-off on losing red spectrum in doing that... That's what I like about Medic Grow's bloom feature, you can run the light at 40%, 60%, and 80% and still get 100% out of the red diodes when F1 is on. I need 2 more fixtures that are rated for 4x4 coverage. I'm torn whether I should buy 2 more Smart8's with the BridgeLux diodes or 2 Smart8 Plus' with Samsung diodes. Medic Grow does not specify if they run 3000K or 5000K or a mix. To me all the dioades look uniformy one color on my Smart8, does anyone know? All they say is that the Smart8 Plus comes with Samsung dioeds, where as the non Plus runs BridgeLux. For the money, you can't beat Medic Grow, but I wish I had the Smart8 Plus. Also, I have a 4x4 that is running bluple, and that needs to go! I'm thinking I could buy 2 Smart8 Plus' and be able to fill all the tents for $1,300.00. Or 2 of the regular Smart8's, that would cost less than $1,000.00 Buying 2 of these FC1000 EVO is more like $1,900.00. But I feel like I'll regret not buying top of the line down the road. It's always nice to be able to scale up in the future and already have a powerful enough fixture without having to upgrade. Yet I'm back to wondering if it's worth it if I'm going to be running it at 60%-80% and losing that much 660nm. I wish Mars Hydro had a flower button that boosted the Osram LED's to 100% at any dimmer level like Medic Grow's fixtures. Or would the red LED's run 100% on the FC1000w-EVO even while dimmed? Does anyone have advice? I'm badly in need of some. Doc. help me!
These reviews are in depth and really focus on supplying info to the consumer , giving them the ability for best application. Thanks for the work doc
DJ.. You Sir, are the shit. It's nice to see live testing and results instead of the claims on manufacturer's websites.

Hey doc,
Are you able to do the fce 1000 ??? Would love to see the par map comparisons !
Isn't more efficient to use two FC 4800 EVO with 480W power each? Would really love a review of this light!

Coco what about cranking the fc1000 to max but raise it even more in the 5x5?
Turn it up to max and raise the light till you have 1000 in the middle
Been waiting on this!
nice review these ights are getting better every year!
I been waiting on this one ! I have the 6500, thinking about getting the 8000, maybe the 1000w !

Nice review! I want about 800 PPF in the 4 x 6 setup. Can you tell me how much I should dim it at the 16 inch height?

Not sure I fully understand the issue with the description but I can get answers from them. Send me an email at drcoco@cocoforcannabis.com
Would this led work for a 1 meter for 1.5 meter Space? I've Just bought one for that space
Those led bars look exactly like the spider farmer se1000 bars

Being n the coalfields myself. If u don't win. HTG supply has some good deals, 600 watt, 200$. Stay safe and don't tell a soul u know that u grow 🌱🌱🌱
Would be a dream come true to win this
Is this light or fc8000 more ideal for 5x5?
The fc8000 is ideal for 5x5. You would likely run the Fc1000 dimmed to the same light output. Grower love
Thanks again!
How you regester for the give away
You’re the best!!! Can we get a video of the new ViparSpectra XS2000 with the 2023 update?
