There was no part 4! It would have been nice to see how the manifold system was built.

I purchased your Blue Barrel system and am very happy with it. But I simply must comment about an error you are making with seals. As a rule of thumb in plumbing, whenever you have a coupling or a piece that has a rubber "O" ring or a rubber gasket on it, you DO NOT want to use teflon tape. Putting tape on the threads will keep the pieces apart, not allowing the rubber gaskets or rings to seal. Only use the teflon tape when you don't have those rubber washers or rings. (When putting together the couplings in this video you said, "I don't use teflon tape here , but you could...". No no. In this case, because the coupling has a rubber "O" ring in the middle, you don't use the tape.) Otherwise, a good video series! Thanks for making them.

+GourmetPaperMache - thanks for pointing this out! Generally speaking, you are right! We do still recommend using Teflon tape on the bung threads. Since our systems are made with upcycled barrels (and threads could be compromised), an extra layer of leak protection is "cheap insurance" - especially with all that water-weight bearing down on the bungs after the barrels are flipped over. As you note, though, the tape should NOT come into contact with the rubber gasket - so that the two methods of leak protection work in sequence and don't interfere with each other. We keep our printed instructions updated with our most up-to-the-minute recommendations. thanks again for your comment!

You sealed everything. How do you wash your barrels out when winterizing?

Our under-plumbed design is self-cleaning and there's no additional clean-out required. You can see our winterization tips here: www.bluebarrelsystems.com/blog/winterize-rain-barrel-system/. Although cleaning isn't a regular requirement for our system, we do have tips for how to clean barrels in our M&O Manual, which you can also find on our website under FAQ's.

I am thinking of putting this. Trying to scout where can i put it. The best place I have need to put 6 or 7 barrel but about a corner with 4 barrel on one side and 2 or 3 at 90 degrees. Any issues you could envision in this plan?
