I've had my Super73 R for a year as well. Not sure if at this point I could go without the "compliment every 10 minutes" aspect of it. I meet so many people that way. The frame design Incorporates "the golden ratio" throughout and therefore looks beautiful at first glance. I like the look with a big headlight but use a handle-bar mounted light so I can control the aim - up when riding in the dark, down when passing people so as to not blind them. Bright bike headlights that can't be dimmed or pointed down are the devil.
The brake noise is very common for every bike and besides being annoying not a problem. You could try some different blocks, some are very silent, but sometimes it might also just go away. Keep the discs clean! Some regular wd40 on a cloth does the trick once in a while. (We Dutch folk grow up on bikes so you learn a thing to two) enjoy the bike
I got this bike and no regrets. However, initially it had a bearing explode and I had it swapped out for a separate rear wheel. Now I can't get enough of it.
I have that same bike and I love it as for your throttle sticking loosen the Allen screw on your throttle and move it away from the grip a little bit they're probably got pushed together same thing happen to me
@@BrianSepulveda I waited 5 months for mine... Turned out to be better than I had imagined. Whenever I see someone with an ebike that I haven't ridden I stop them and we usually ride each other's bikes. No other ebike compares to the R... none handle like a motorbike nor have the power, pickup and speed. Everyone who tries it comes back with the same goofy looking smile on their face no matter what they currently ride. It is an entirely different level from other ebikes.
Yeah the R-Brooklyn is the “new” R. It’s just upgraded with a light, a different seat, and comes in different colors. Other than that it’s pretty much the same
@@BrianSepulveda I prefer the light of the R, for my taste the R was just perfect. I think I will try to buy the R second hand, even if it’s not so easy to find a trustable seller for some kind of products
Yeah no, a sticking throttle is a VERY big issue. That could injure or even kill someone, especially an inexperienced rider, if you lost control in traffic.
I like it more than a twist throttle actually. Since there is no clutch if you had a twist throttle it would always be engaged. Mean that you can accidentally give it “gas” without meaning to, which can cause an accident. The separate thumb throttle let’s you rest you hands on the handle bar without needing to worry about that
I dont own a super73 yet but i had the issue with the throttle aswell on my other EVs the issue was that the throttle was making contact with the brake lever so i had to give it some space or it would get stuck sometimes
You need to change the actual bike setting in the app. The 1,2,3,4 on the display are just the pedal assist modes. To change the power output of the motor, you need to do that in the app.
I knew instantly that you was in PA w/ the drone shots, I recognize the woods.... I'm in South Central PA and I ride a Modified Razor Mx650 w/ 48v 2000w. Was thinking about something like this w/ pedals but then I was thinking of just building or modding something to fit the moped laws, lights and turn signals w/ horn and all that but w/ a 50-60mph top speed and good low end torque... It's not for the speed but because I live in the mountains and there are some very steep roads. LoL Have you also looked into the aftermarket controller upgrade for the Super 73s¿?
*Dear Brian, thanks a lot for the review* I live in Pennsylvania too. Are cops in our state inclined to stop this bike, and ask if you have insurance for a moped? Or if you have a motorcycle license? Or stop this bike for another reason?
@@BrianSepulveda How about in California? I heard you were driving this in California too. Do I need insurance or license? Can I ride it in the bike lanes?
Purchased 73R this year. Love it and HATE it. Needs app to run at potential. App fails to load. Battery sucks and zero torque. Even after so called torque updates. Can buy twice the bike for half the money.
You can buy a used car or small almost new under 250 cc motorcycle that gets 70mpg or better that will last a long time for the price of this piece of shit e bike.

ebro Great info. Great vid. And thanks I will be using that link to purchase my R-Brooklyn
Thanks for the support!
Thanks for all the info. Seems like the stuff that should be simple like the throttle, brake & headlight shouldn't be an issue with a 3k price tag!

Ah yeah that could totally be it, thanks for the tip!
You know punctuation is a thing, right?
Purchased r model 100 miles ago and no throttle issues. Love it.
I was Just researching about this bike and found your video, thank you very much
Thanks for watching
Is it a r Brooklyn?
very similar. I think the only differences are the headlight and the seat
I ordered my R just a few days ago I hate waiting! Great video!
Yeah, the waiting is horrible! But in the end it'll be worth it. Thanks for watching!
You will not regret it. It changed my life.

How bright is your custom light ?
Not sure what to compare it to for you. But it's brighter than no headlight!
Considering the Super 73 R, how is it carrying a small second adult rider ?
I've done it many times, works like a charm but you do need a two person seat
I sold it... I bought a talaria l1e road legal.
Same price, 3000/6000power, 60V38Ah...
Super73, is a Louis Vuitton, 'you pay the brand and the hype.
What headlight is that??
There is a video on my channel where I show how to make it
Tektros brakes sound like wood , but they are there because they are cheap . A nice set of Maguras would be a good upgrade .
kinda wish it went at least the normal city speed limit of 35mph lol
probably would have to register it and pay extra money and insurance at that point? idk.
How does it do going up hills?
I've never had a problem making it up some steep hills, sure it slows down but I've always gotten up.
