Check out the follow-up video where I add a taillight to the bike as well! Link in the description!
Why not connect it to the bike battery so people using other ebikes can see how to wire and splice it into that?
This is an awesome video! Results look great and simple enough. Going to try this on my RadRover. Thanks!
Awesome, glad you liked it!
Thanks. I just got the light mounted on a s2 and it’s like huge compared to the original. Thank for the links I bought everything!
Glad you like it! Thanks for the support
Can’t wait to go on a night bike ride! Love the top view in this video. Good job babe! 😜
Thanks for the support!
Cool beans bro! Definitely need some fenders too when my SR replacement arrives, specially here in Hawaii where all of a sudden, rain just gets dumped.
Thanks! Happy to hear you found it useful!
is there a way to hook up rear light and front light so they turn off at same time ?
I also managed to wire a taillight to the same battery circuit. Let me know down below if anyone is interested in seeing that video!
Yes let’s see another video!!
Yes pls
Yess!!
Lmao yesss I was just wondering about that.
The follow-up taillight video has been uploaded. You can find it on my channel or in the description of this video!
Thanks pimpin
For sure 👍🏼
nice video man, keep up the good work
I appreciate that, thanks for watching!
That light has a high & low beam, would a 3 way rocker switch accommodate both beams? Thanks. Good video!
Wish I knew but it's possible. Thanks for watching! Glad you found it useful
do you know if these forks are compatible with the kanebilt headlights? They're currently sold out right now and was hoping to get the brackets myself. These look similar to what they use
I’ve seen the Kanebilts in person and I’m almost positive that they will work, just can’t guarantee it
Great video, though I’m confused about the 10 ft wiring part. Do you need it to be 10 ft or one of the smaller sizing like 5ft
smaller one is fine
Couldn’t you wire the rear and front with power switch?
I wired the 2 wires that come out of the switch to the hot leg on the light, then the red wire off the 10ft 12 gauge wire to the lights hot leg as well. Black to black on the light then matched colors on the female plug...
You should connect the switch to the positive on both the light (orange/red wire) and the extension (red wire). The switch should not be connected to any black grounding wires
Wow ok I see what I did thanks dude these videos with the lights are really informative don’t stop please lol
@@markkirby1295 Thanks man, I really appreciate that!
I had the 2 wires out of the switch going to the orange on the light and the red from the cord all spliced together
@@markkirby1295 It's working now?
u say ur happy witht the brightness. im assuming that with this wiring its on high beam by default. is that correct?
installed it and the red wire is high beam. blue is low beam. high beam is not all that bright. my regular clip on bike light is brighter. this head light looks cool but its not really a good option for night riding imo. ill be installing a led light bar alongside this.
@foreversolvent5334 I’m with you on this. Everything about this video is awesome and aesthetically the light looks great on the bike! But the brightness is terrible. My tiny clip
On headlight is about 5 times brighter than this light. It’s a hazard to drive at night with this light as provides almost no useful lighting. I’ll probably keep it on my bike for now because it looks cool, but if Im riding at night I have to turn on my little clip on light as well so that it actually lights up the street
Anyone know a battery pack that has an EU charger plug? 🙄
Can I leave the battery pack on if I’m not using it? Will it kill the battery if I just want to leave it on and just use the switch by the handlebar?
Thanks
I wish I could answer your question. I always turn it off at the battery pack as well when I’m done
@@BrianSepulveda nap problem. Thanks for replying. I’m actually testing it out today. I fully charged it overnight and left the battery pack on when I got into work. I’ll update it here once I’m done testing it.
Update: I tested it for a day. I left the battery pack on from 5:40am until 10:20pm and only lost one bar. Just figured I’d update for anyone wondering.
@@ericarroyo2092 yeah that seems about right. Thanks for updating us on it!
Would it be possible to leave the battery on 24/7? So I can just use the switch to turn the light on and off? Theoretically it shouldn’t be draining much power to just leave the battery on….
Yes its possible but idk how long the battery would last. the battery has lasted months without charge when i turn it off at the battery.
@@BrianSepulveda ok I’ll have that in mind, I’m gonna leave it on for a few days all my parts are coming today so I’ll test it out. There’s just gonna be too many buttons I gotta turn on for stuff on my bike like headlights and taillights.
@@leviray5935 Yeah makes sense. It would be cool if you could update me on how long it lasted leaving the battery switch on
@@BrianSepulveda just wanted to let you know I ended switching up and going for a better light and better battery pack just because I need my battery pack to last all my turn signals lights horn etc and the light just wasn’t all that powerful
that 3a battery pack can only drive low watt headlights, anybody try this with a 6a battery?
My switch isn’t working...
How long does the battery last?
Finally was able to run a test. With the headlight and taillight connected to the same battery i got about 5.5 hours
@@BrianSepulveda and it’s possible to buy a bigger battery too right?
@@gbrldz0 I don’t see why not but this one fits where I mounted it under the seat perfectly
I got one of their older Z1 bike and loved. Now it's double the price. Their price is such a rip off.
Just can’t directly plug into the controller? 😩
No I wish!
Are you really happy with the brightness of the headlight at night?
Oh yeah, especially compared to the little dinky bicycle light options I had before it’s a huge change
@@BrianSepulveda Good to hear. I just ordered everything needed on Amazon. Are you still working on the tail light video? I want to go ahead and run the extra wire for the TL. Thanks!
@@bigshotproductions989 Yeah that video is still happening. Should be up at some point tomorrow!
zap strap the electrcal tape so it doesnt start coming off with time. anyone using tape....zap strap those holds
Talks to fast and didn’t explain lol
Terrible video says these wires but doesn't say what color while his hands block them and then these wires. Wtf
