Dyson Airwrap Tutorial + New vs Old Attachments

- I’m sharing how to use the Dyson Airwrap + new vs old attachments! In this Dyson Airwrap tutorial I show you how to use each Dyson attachment, as well as create 3 different looks. Soft and straight, using the soft smoothing brush attachment. Beachy waves wand technique, using Dyson’s new 1.2” (30mm) barrel attachment. And a soft curls, using Dyson’s new 1.6” (40mm) barrel attachment. And I finish each hairstyle with the new Coanda smoothing dryer head attachment (my favourite), to hide flyaways.

this is a brilliant tut. Thank you!! I'm a busy person and bought one a several weeks ago, but after a few attempts after watching the Dyson vids was starting to become concerned I had wasted a lot of money. Thank you! The best explanation I’ve found about the differences. Truth be told, I was super excited about the new attachments (early adopter here) but am honestly pretty disappointed with the new long barrels. They don’t have the same level of suction and therefore don’t give the same results. Anyone else find that?

Is it good for people who don’t want a curl but just a blowout look? I currently have it at home but in my country you can’t return if you’ve opened it. I have straight hair and just want volume and for it to look like a blowout.

I’ve had mine for almost a year and a half and i’ve never been able to master it after watching this I am going to try to again the arrows deff confused me a bit thank you
I was concerned about buying the new airwrap after watching this one lady spend an hour using the Dyson wrap and then she also pincurled it and put on so many unnecessary products that I am almost 100% sure is bad for the hair and thought why would i buy this but you made me feel so much better after seeing the different ways to do your hair with it and now I will be buying it today.

I just bought the new air wrap! I’m so excited to try it and see how to use it to create styles! I think my issue has been sectioning my hair, I do the bottom sections well, but I don’t know what to do once I come to the top or the crown part… it looks kessy

Thanks for this video. I was wondering, most of the reviews on Sephora mention that the new attachments don't work very well with the older version of the Dyson multi styler. I really wanted to get the longer barrel for my older version, it's not available anymore. Have you tried swapping the curling barrels on these multi stylers at all? Does the new one work well with the older multi styler in your experience? Thank you.

Thank you Linda! I have a few favourites, L'Oreal Paris Elnett is a classic, Moroccanoil Oil Luminous Hairspray Medium, and the Bumble and Bumble Flexible Hold Hairspray.

What mousse are you using? I’m a hairdresser and I’ve tried every way possible to make the curls stay in from different mousses, pinning the curls up so they set ect and the curls come out great they’re super curly and an hour later they’re totally flat, if I curl my hair with a normal curler my curls last for a few days.
In my personal experience mousse (Elnett by L’Oréal) never worked on its own. I always use hair spray right after curling. Mousse is good for keeping the frizz out of way in the roots but it doesn’t help the shape stay in place. I hope this helps 🌸

will this Coanda smoothing dryer straighten curly hair better than old attachments of airwrap styler? Thanks
Not much has changed with the smooth attachment so unfortunately I don't believe it would work much better. You might be better off with a paddle brush or round brush and using the nozzle attachment on your blow dryer.
