It took me less than 5 minutes. Tried it the first time. And I didn't even fail! This is the first hair tutorial I actually don't fail in. I am so glad!!!!
LIFE CHANGING! lol Decades later with a lifetime of waist-long thick hair, I've finally to make a french twist AND use those darn hair pins. LOL THANK YOU!
I have done my hair like this for decades but using a side comb to fasten. Point the tips of the sidecomb into the roll fairly close to your head and pointing back towards your hand that is holding it. Gently tip the side comb over until it is aligned with the curve of your head and the blunt end faces the hand holding the comb. Slide the comb slightly towards your scalp then flat against your head and push in. I used to do this every morning to keep my hair up in the shower.
The slower motions you used while twisting your hair were really helpful. That's essentially how I used to put really long hair in an alligator clip. I didn't realize it was that simple, I was overthinking it, and assuming there was another step I was missing. . It's exactly the same motion and twist.
oh wow i'm impressed. it actually took me a couple minutes (mostly for properly securing my hair with bobby pins) to create this hairstyle! thank you for the tutorial! Will be rocking this hairstyle in the near future~
Very quick in informative. I have longer hair to my waist and I just naturally wrap my hair up like a knot when I am just over it having my hair down. Who knew I was just a step closer for doing the simplest French up do. I will have to practice on this since I have the bigger clips for up do's
Beautiful while being casual and formal at the same time. That's what creates the wonderful dynamic in this do. And I love how she pulls the hair out so it's not tight, a look I don't like. Bravo!
Thank you! I have really fine hair and have never been able to do a French twist correctly and make it stay. This worked, even with regular bobby pins!
This looks easy! I might give it a try. I have a lot of trouble making a French twist look good from the front. Usually it pulls weird and makes my head look pointy. Not flattering for oval faces!
Thank you sooo much for this tutorial!! My husband and I have a formal event at the end of this month and I’ve been stressing about how I’m going to do my hair. I’ve never been good with hair. Hopefully I can practice this a few times and get the hang of it for the event! :)
Oh my gosh thank you SO much for this video! This is literally the ONLY tutorial I was able to follow and actually successfully replicate. I swear I’ve watched several of these tutorials and yours is the only one that worked for me!
Wow. First hair tutorial ever that I tried and was very impressed that I didn't totally botch it. I suck with hair but even I could get this. Thanks, great video.
Thank you for this episode! It saved me last Saturday. I couldn't secure a hair appointment for my highlights and blow dry. I decided for the first time to try something new. I found your channel and wow, I received soooo many compliments on my French twist. Great channel, and thanks for the step by step instructions. Some other channels, they spoke too fast and didn't describe what they were doing. Keep up the great work!
It has been literal decades since I let my hair get long enough to pin it in any fashion, so I'm super unpracticed and lack a lot of tools for hair styling. This video just randomly appeared on my feed so I gave it a look, and I'm legitimately stunned that I could do this. I don't have pins of any sort, but I do have clips, those big claw-type ones that look like an actual spider when you open them. It's enough to keep the bun pinned and I'm just still so surprised that I could even do this much. In other words: thanks.
Hi babe it was a treat to hear you. Also it's a rare compliment ,and you may like it too. Here it is. Looking at your shade of hair color I think there would be thousands women if not more ,would literally STOP hair coloring ! 🤩🤩That looks so wonderfully beautiful style with the share of your hair combined. Loved watching you ,can't stop hearing you. 😄😄😄
That strand of hair you pull from the bangs, mine is to my knees. Right now my hair is extremely long, and could not pull this off. I tried like 10 times, gave up. The style is so beautiful and your tutorial is amazing. Looks lovely on you. 💜💜💜
Amazing. I won’t be getting this on the first try but eventually I will. I’ll have to get some longer bobby pins first which I shouldn’t gotten a long time ago.
I have been doing similar thing for a couple of years, except I twist the opposite way (using right hand fingers) and instead of pins, I use a French clip on top. It is really the easiest technique and I get many compliments on it (even though I don't have great hair). I enjoyed watching what you do!
I love this elegantly style hairdo, together with Ann Taylor suits. Briskly, letting my bangs & sides limply hanging on my face, in account of, looking chic & elegant. Lisa
Wow that looks so pretty and you make it look so very easy....I hope I am able to do it with such ease. My hair is down to my waist and sometimes I have trouble doing styles like this ...seems like there's always that little bit of extras ... but after watching some of these tutorials I know what to do with them...Bobby pins are our friends! Thank you for helping the hair illiterates like me! 😜
HI Alex!! Lovely work. Really like the way you explain. One request, could you please make a detail Video on how to correctly use the French pin, bobby pins
Lol this worked. I wasn't seriously attempting it as I followed along just sitting here, but it worked and I only needed one XL bobby pin to secure it!
I am just sitting here thinking of all the stuff I have bought trying to do this french twist and it was THIS easy! LOL Thank you so much for that! Seriously...I have tried this so many ways but it never looked good....now I am all cute. Thanks to you Alex!
I'm one of those people who follow the style and it Doesn't work out..... Omg was SUPER simple to follow in front of the bathroom mirror ESPECIALLY with the pace you instruct! Didn't turn out Exactly like it...... But quickest style EVER it's Up for work going to be my go to!
Would you like to see more 2 minute hair tutorials?

Wow love your tips. I'm going to order a hair comb this afternoon and give this a try, thank you.❤️

If you need it even slower, you can also click the gear in the top right corner and adjust the "playback speed".
This is the easiest French twist I’ve ever learned. Now I can finally do this elegant hairdo. Thank you for this easy tutorial 😊💕

Ah I am so glad you liked it, it makes me so happy that it worked out for you! ❤️
Thank you for explaining how to put in the HAIR CLIPS! ✨

Great tutorial and beautiful hairstyle! A close-up and slow motion of the hairpin "application" would be helpful (at least for me). :)
The easiest French twist I've ever done. Very fast and very pretty. Thank you for this video
Nice
Now I am serious. Decades wondering how to do this hair style, and here it is! THANK YOUUUU, LOOKS SO EASY
Wow!!! My wife will surely love it! Thanks for sharing. A big help for women who have long hair.
Love the french twist!
It's such a classic! ❤️
I love classic French roll. My favorite bun style, elegant and beatiful but mine never stays put
When I was younger, there was a brushy conical form to use as the base for achieving a French twist. It was really helpful.
I love a French twist…thank you for showing such an easy way to do one!
Beautiful
HOW DID YOU KNOW THIS WAS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED AND THEN YOU POSTED THIS TODAY
I got you! 🙌🏻❤️
Bending the hair pins is a great idea! 👍thanks❤️
You have such gorgeous hair and dainty fingers and you made the french twist with so much ease and delicacy.🌸
It looks so easy. I can't wait to try it.
Thank you for your tutorial.. I like to use goody spiral bobby pins. They work great and never let the hair slide and become loose.
This looks easy! I might give it a try. I have a lot of trouble making a French twist look good from the front. Usually it pulls weird and makes my head look pointy. Not flattering for oval faces!
this is so gorgeous
girl you're a genius omg
