  • We started our $100 hamburger journey toward central Illinois, but poor weather forced a change of plans. Rerouted to Lake of the Ozarks with nice flyover of the lake before and after lunch. Then back home

Looks like a great flight and that's a nice looking airplane. I was actually pointing your plane out to someone as we were taxiing a Bristell back to K row a couple weeks ago, was pleasantly surprised to discover your channel this afternoon.

Thanks. We are really enjoying the CT. That Bristell is a nice plane as well. Strange how this RUclips stuff works and you end up finding a local connection. Thanks for watching! How did you find the channel?

@@ctcrosswindadventures5165 Yeah, the local connection piece is strange and cool at the same time. Just saw your 1st Solo video and noticed we had the same CFI too. For finding the channel, it just showed up in my recommended feed. If I had to guess, it's likely due to me searching in the past for CTLS videos, always been interested in the plane but sadly no rentals available in the area.

The FBO guy at Green Glaize may have been grumpy because you walked in filming. To some people, asking before being filmed is the etiquette. Not being snarky, I think you guys are great and really likeable. Just summizing that to some people, they may want to be asked before being filmed. Especially in the Mid West! 😄

That is a REALLY good point! I should have said something right up front. For some reason I didn't expect anyone to be inside the building that day. We are still learning how to do this. Thanks for the great point about filming etiquette!

Yes, I edited out our "attempted" conversation with the FBO manager. It was a bit frustrating, but he may have just had a rough day. Tacos were great!

Why did you try to turn the runway lights on in broad daylight lol also please tell me what you use to have your radio audio in your videos

Hi. Thanks for watching the video. Some airports use CTAF to activate all lights including the PAPIs. I was turning on the PAPIs. For radio audio I use an audio adapter for my GoPro Hero 8 video camera. You can pick them up from Sporty's for about $100. It's called a GoPro HERO 5 to 12 Audio Recorder Headset Adapter - Fixed Wing. Here is a link to the page: www.mypilotstore.com/MyPilotStore/sep/11806
