Great video, amazing lens and unbelievable picture! Your enthusiasm is infectious! Congratulations on the sale, well deserved! I think I'm putting Lochiel on my bucket list now :-)
What can I say, absolutely gorgeous. I recently upgraded from an X-T10 to an X-T5 (keeping the X-T10 of course), and just yesterday got my Rokinon 12mm f/2 (a.k.a. Samyang outside the USA). I would be happy if I can capture something half as nice as that.
Don't know anything about you Matt, but I like you in the first 10 seconds!! Used to work in Port Pirie, so know Locheil well! Have al;so jut picked up an a6400 and Samyang 12mm MF. Can't wait!
Lake Hart would be a fantastic area to head to, I really wish to go up that way North sometime soon. But will get way to hot in a couple of weeks (if not already hahaha)
@@matthewstorerphotography More and more days are beginning to be unbearable. The season to travel up here is almost over! Why I'm making my way south. No air con in campervan!!!!! arghhh haha
awesome shots and video. great dedication. heading out tomorrow to Joshua Tree, California to shoot the Milky Way, thank you for the inspirational video.
My Samyang 12mm is being shipped soon and i can‘t wait to pair it with my X-T1 for astrophotography. Would you let me know which settings work best for this combo? Thanks!
Great image mate, looks great. We have a Loch Eil just past Fort William, you may of been there when you were over, it's a wee while away from LochNess and the real LochNess monster 😉🤣👍🏻 congratulations selling it to the tourism board great shout and well done it's a great image. 👍🏻
@@matthewstorerphotography Yeah I'm pretty lucky really it's on my doorstep from Inverness, I do bus tours over to Skye 3 times per week and other places around the Highlands which is pretty cool, along with doing my own Photography tours when I'm not on the tour bus, if you're ever back here give me a shout mate 👍🏻 got some wicked locations for milkyway shots with class bortle 1 👍🏻
Awesome news Matthew! Stunning work as usual. You are giving me food for thought here in SA. PS Finally my X T4 and Samyang lens arrived here in the outback. Heading down to William Creek in 4 days to experiment. (fingers crossed haha) Very thankful for your advice and experience.
Amazing Lexa, must be getting warm up that far north at the moment? Just spent the last 3 weeks in Wilpena was warming up already - You working up there? Was looking for jobs that far north for A WHILE
Bloody right they bought it as that was a banger of an image Matt, congratulations on the sale. Im off to London next week for 8 days of solid photography and so looking forward to it. Then have 11 days at two coastal locations. Originality might not be the order of the day but Im not bothered as Im just looking forward to end to end photography instead of grabbing time here and there
Hello from Turkey, thanks for your great videos. I replaced X-t4 with Nicon D 750 but I have reservations about iso :) What do you think is an acceptable iso to make astrophotography on my new camera? What are your recommendations for X-t4 and Astro?
That was great to watch mate. Good job. Can you share how you did the pitch and selling to the SA Tourist Board and how’d you price it and talk about price?
Ahh I wouldnt do a video on RUclips regarding that - but on my membership I will be looking at making money with photography and will touch on topics such as this. My RUclips is mainyl for my photography fun :D
@@matthewstorerphotography Fair enough, that makes sense. I just had a look through your YT sight and couldn't see where the membership option is anywhere??
May I know the astro settings you're using for fuji cameras as I'm having xe4 and and images are getting blown off for long exposure using Ioptron Skyguider I polar and lots of colour fringing. Thanks..
@@matthewstorerphotography Actually, you risked the Fuji camera and the hiking boots for the photo. You risked EVERYTHING else to make the VIDEO about how you RISKED EVERYTHING. The photo is amazing. It's the HYPERBOLE (that usually appears in ALL CAPS) that takes away from this beautiful shot with a great story.
@@matthewstorerphotography Not completely wrong. Just not completely accurate. That's a minor point, because the point of my original statement is that title hyperbole degrades the viewing experience on RUclips, in my opinion. "Ben Shapiro OBLITERATES Anthony Fauci" or "IMPOSSIBLY RICH BOKEH from a f4 kit lens!!!" or "Simon Cowell LOSES IT on this contestant!" I found this particularly unfortunately on your video because the real story is the knowledge, expertise, talent and planning to get this shot. I must assume that somewhere in RUclips Creator Boot Camp, they tell folks that their title must "OBLITERATE the title of other videos!!!!!" I find it annoying. And I find your photography to be delightful.
What's "that" location you'll be heading out to in your local area to capture a cracker of an image?
The light coming down to the teeth and the water - oh my!! Genius!
Thanks so much - glad you notice the little details :D

very unique capture brother. definatly a banger.
Thanks a ton
😮👍🏼So well done…and congrats on the sell of your shot. BEAUTIFUL!

Exellent result! Do you prefer ths SAMYANG 12MM F/2 lens or the Fujifilm XF 16-55mm f/2.8 for astophotography? Does the f2 in the Samyang affect much?
F/2 and wide angle really helps. For me the Samyang is still one of the best lenses for astro on the Fuji system
Good plan. Great shot!
Thanks so much buddy!
Lake Heart would be another great location.

Spectacular work mate, really good. It was probably worth getting your feet wet.
Thanks 👍
How much did they take for it I'm curious?
Not a great deal - $200 AUD for a non exclusive image
*where EVERYTHING is a Fuji camera and hiking boots.
x2 Fujifilm Camera, x2 Fujifilm Lens, x2 Tripods, Audio, Monitor, LED's - Yeah about 4K worth of stuff.... So thanks for caring
