"Hustle culture" and wanting to be successful allowed me to follow my dreams and succeed at many goals, but at the expense of being completely burned out and lacking self-care, work-life balance, and boundaries HIT me hard this past January 2023. With much rest, self-care, therapy, support from loved ones, and prayer, I'm finally starting to feel like myself again.

What a scary time! I decided to CHOOSE myself and make it a priority to up my self-care and accept help when I'm so used to being the "I got it" or "I'll do it myself" woman. I'm in a much better place mentally and physically, but I'm making better choices to take care of myself day by day! Prayer and therapy WORKS!

I started to study the word more📖, read some influential and Empowering books and also started to put my phone on no disturb after certain hours.....Spending time to take care of yourself and your needs is indeed necessary....PRAYING YOUR STRENGTH, PEACE AND JOY THROUGHOUT YOUR JOURNEY AND ALWAYS REMEMBER TO SEEK GOD FIRST IN EVERYTHING YOU DO...THATS OUR BESTIE RIGHT THERE....Always Knows the plan and thoughts for our lives 💯🙌🙏🏾👏🏿Blessings
Yesssssss! I sooo agree! Having balance is so important, and I'm learning to prioritize myself and my well-being to be my best self!
I want to focus on me more. I'm currently juggling 3 jobs, school and a child. I want to take a mental health break where I don't work for at least a month. Don't know how I will do it but I need to.
It’s the economy, these politicians are helping so many people but refuse to help us. All there good for is taking our money and it sucks because it’s out of our control. It use to be stop eating out and save money by grocery shopping that doesn’t work anymore. Get a second job that doesn’t work either because at the end of the year you owe taxes.
I'm glad that you posted this video! I have been experiencing burnout for quite some time myself. Things are getting better, but I am not where I would like to be yet. I have found that limiting my social media time and journaling has helped tremendously. I also started going back to church and seeking out self help books and resources. Life isn't perfect, but I'm thankful for my life and I try to remain positive. Thank you for sharing your experience. It will help many! ❤❤
Limiting my screentime and social media time has helped me in so many ways. It's refreshing to do because what we see and consume online isn't reality once in the real world.

Los Angeles is wild and the demographics hv definitely changed. Find myself exhausted behind experiencing racism from minority groups which is KRA AAAAZIE! Find myself isolated, not wanting to talk on the phone because I am too tired to talk. Watching and hearing about the many car accidents and street take overs gives me anxieties. Luckily i travel for work and am relieved to take work in a low populated states where not many minorities are present. Don't at me because I am considered mi ority. If you are not from so Cal or N. Cal, you wouldnt u derstand😮😢
I can really relate! Being so tired and not engaging in social activity was ME! I would be up working late and then turn around and do it all over again without having any work-life balance. Whew, it's heavy, and living in a big city can add additional stress especially when the pandemic hit! SCARY!
I think we all need more work life balance too. They need to implement 4 day work week.
I agree and also have the proper support is important too when it comes to balance.

I definitely had a similar experience. I had a sudden onset of chronic fatigue about a year and a half ago. I thought I had some sort of illness however, all of my Dr. reports were showing up manageable and normal.
Burnout is real and it can be difficult to explain to those depending on you. I've been in therapy for 3 years now and it definitely helps however, I'm still trying to figure out a way to reset.
As a 37 year old mother of 2, bonus mom, wife, and business owner it seems impossible.
Yes, we as women tend to take on SO much without having a break to ourselves and I totally understand the feeling of trying to balance when there's so much you need to do and are depended on.

You are literally describing how I have been feeling the last couple of months with work, husband, kids, etc. I have never had a real vacation either. A day off here and there, but you end up doing things around the house, running errands, etc. I actually contacted Better Help for my middle son.
It's definitely a lot to juggle and can be very overwhelming when you need a break! Better help is really nice and convenient when you don't have a lot of time.
Work life balance isn’t even really but the crash is truly a blessing. Super woman is the illusion that will place us in an early grave. Depression comes in levels and calling it what it is helps but is scary to call it. Therapy is a way to equip you but you must have the open mind/heart.
Agreed! The crash is genuinely a blessing because during that time I learned so much about myself and what not to do ever again.
I'm currently experiencing this and it's so hard. I had no explanation for what has caused this. I knew I wasn't depressed but I'm not myself😢
Yessss! It's really hard to identify that feeling, but it almost feels like you're a shell because you're SO tired and need a break so its hard to feel like yourself.
