  • FINALLY the update we all were waiting for! Does Geritol REALLY work? Let's talk about it in this update! So, I found out in Nov 2022 I was suffering from severe iron deficiency after getting my lab results from my yearly physical. Learning this news put many things into perspective with my health, diet, and most of all, HAIR! Not only am I recovering my hair, but I was also recovering my health and mental health as well and learned last year that its crucial for me to take care of myself in all areas, and I'm here to share that journey with you and the things I learned along the way.
With many recommendations from the comment section and online research, I started taking liquid Geritol on July 21, 2023.

Just a FYI. Be cautious of foods that deplete or inhibit absorption of iron. Turmeric depletes your iron absorption and coffee inhibits it. Eat a orange wedge or a glass of oj after your iron intake for absorption. Enjoyed your video

The same thing happened to me as far as thinning due to Iron deficiency. I've also been slightly anemic for years, but found out at the end of last year that I needed infusions because my levels were dangerously low. I still may have to have another round, but I'm starting to feel better too. I'm glad I caught this video because I've been looking for supplements that not only help with the anemia, but also with thickening and strengthening my hair. Thanks for sharing 😊❤

I was also iron deficient, mine was due to multiple fibroids. I survived three surgeries to correct my biggest fibroid, which was causing the most bleeding that caused me to be anemic. At some point, (somewhere around my surgeries, before or after) I tried Geritol, but my body didn't take well to it, so I stopped taking it. Looking at this, I now think it was due to an empty stomach. I'm no longer anemic, though. Thanks for this information!

That’s the key, check with your doctors before taking supplements. Sometimes anemia and shedding is not a lack of iron in your diet. Sometimes it’s Cancer or Chronic Kidney Disease. Plus, if you take supplements that you don’t need, it can store up in your body, and cause other issues.

Also, the Feosol will not cause constipation as I was very concerned and when I look for an iron supplement that was no constipating, Feosol was at the top and it's on point with that. I now take the Feosol for 3 months and stop for 3 months although I eat iron rich foods, I want to ensure that I don't go through what I did in the past.

I'm so happy that you are doing better. FYI one way to natural combat the constipation is to drink warmed prune juice. Geritol is considered a one a day multi vitamin that I'd recently said I would start taking once I took up all the individual vitamins I already have, BUT I will NOT be taking the liquid version this comes in pill form with that gel coating that I think will help with any stomach issues as that allows it to release more slowly. I don't know if Geritol works for hair, but my sister swears she got pregnant because of high usage of it.
My niece is very healthy, like Olympic swimmer healthy.😊🥰

Anything you taking with iron in it you have to take on a full stomach. I eat then take my vitamins with orange juice it definitely helps bc if I don’t I will get so nauseous🤢

Iron supplements make you nauseous. When I was pregnant and had the worst morning sickness, my OB told me I had to take prenatal vitamins that didn't have iron, and the iron was definitely the culprit.

Floradix and Gaia Plant Force Liquid Iron are better alternatives to Geritol and tastes better. I haven't had any constipation issues either. My iron and Vitamin D are low and it has wrecked havoc on my hair. I was exhausted and had shortness of breath. It is growing back and thickening up. I also asked my doctor to give me a megadose of D for 12 weeks, and I take it with K2 from the healthfood store. There is a correlation between C-19 and hair loss for some people. My cousin is a trichologist and has treated people for hair loss with this.
