    Good information, tks . I had a laser burnout in only 2 days. Any tips on laser maintenance or protection. Using air assist to keep fumes from damaging the lens front surface. Installing a Lasorb or Schott diode parallel with the laser diode to protect it.

    How in the heck can you center a picture on a frame??? And how could you put both height and width in the settings? Every time I change height, width changes itself and vise versa.

    Hi Anthony. I'm new to grbl. So I have a problem. All my images and texts are making shadows when I add it to grbl

    Just bought my first laser. Finding these videos really helpful so far. Is there a way to do an engaving and cut it out in the same process with this program or do I need to run seperate processes?

    Hello Mr Tony
    Thanks so much for posting the videos. It is very helpful for dummy like me. I ahve a 6550 40w yorahome laser. But my images are printing upside down. I can sure invert the image but that is not the solution right. There is something wrong in my settings. can you please advise. Thanks in advance. Himanshu

      WHen you tell it to go up,, does it go down??
      You may need to invert your Y axis direction:
      try typing
      $3=2
      And hit enter
      in to your console.
      If that doesn't work,, try
      $3=0

      @@brakthehun It does go up and down manually. But I will definitely try the coordinates. I have already tried changing the cables position. Thanks . Will get back to you with results.

      Ah,, yes!! I have not done a tutorial on this. I used the $N registers for that. I may have mentioned it in this video 20 minutes in:

    I can not get my laser to print. I moved the head closer to the paper. I have been playing with my speed and my sm. I am at a lost. I just want to spring words. Is there any advise?

    • @brakthehun
      @brakthehun  2 года назад

      Moving the laser closer isn't always the right way to focus it. You want the laser dot as small as possible. Make sure you're also running your laser at 100% 100% for me is 255. 100% for you might be 1000

      You can either make them yourself: ruclips.net/video/wKgJeqJv_y8/видео.html
      Or you can import them from the LaserGRBL programs(x86) folder

    Can you please explain how to figure out what my S-MIN and S-MAX must be?

    • @brakthehun
      @brakthehun  3 года назад

      SMax should match your $31 settings. Smin might need to be adjusted from 0 if you're engraving on very light wood. It's a guess and check process.

      i have a universal engraver i purchased used and trying to learn to use it. i saw your tutorials and decided to try to use lasergrbl. my laser module has a blue intensity dial on the mounted board and the intensity for the laser changes with that i cannot seem to turn the laser on and off with your grbl commands

      @wood123firebird 4 года назад

      also tried creating your focus button and that will not turn off and on the laser, seems like my laser stays on all the time when at idel except when engraving.
