Can the framing laser power be adjusted higher than 3% so I could see my framing line, an visually align my material perfectly to that?

Another suggestion is related to the config.yaml file. It can be specified directly in the web interface created by FluidNC. Although FluidNC allows config files with different names, if you rename the DLC32 file to config.yaml before uploading, it will already be recognized as the default configuration file.

Excellent video! I’m going to suggest an installation method that might make things easier. There’s a web installer right at the beginning of the FluidNC website-a Web Installer. Just follow the steps they suggest, and in the end, it will even install the latest released version. This makes things much easier because you won’t need to download anything.

This is GREAT!! It really helps explain things when you walk through changing the program step-by-step! I see there are multiple different 'versions' as you progress through this tutorial. Do you have any of the individual sketches posted anywhere online? I'm really interested in how you replaced delay(); with millis(); controlled by reading the potentiometer values. Its hard to copy the program from a screen grab. Thanks!

I’m using a MOSFET to power my laser off and activating it off of the spindle enable pin, spindle enable pin has 5v but the moment I plug it into the mos fet it drops down to 0.14v but is not activating the mosfet, I confirmed that when jumping 5v from the power supply to the mosfet signal pin the mos fet activate properly and turns on the laser, is that a trouble with my shield or is there something silly that I’m missing?

Anthony, Have you found a way to still use Windows 10 with Laser GRBL after the latest Microsoft upgrades? My Engraver is dead in the water!! Thanks Darryl

I have a question if u have a minute my friend.. When I plug in and switch on my Sculpfun S9 the laser is already on and burning up the object right below it. Is there something I can do to stop that or have I rewired it wrong. I took it apart to have a good look under the hood to see if the board inside was compatible with a CNC Router Spindle but since I connected it back up the Laser is working before I've ever hit the connect button. Nothing moves but the Laser is on full power too btw. This thing burns like a good thing. Could u give me any advice? I'd be very grateful if u have any. Thanks for uploading these videos bcos I'm way behind the curve when it comes to tech stuff. Really bad tbh.

I have tried dozens of various configurations and have yet to get anything to work remotely well.... vectorizing the image is the only works is for 10% of the lines anyway... Its like the laser chooses arbitrary times to fire... The inconsistency lets me do multiple passes and have different lines etched each pass with some gone over again. Anyone know what this could be?

This video was three years old. Do you have anything that's more current . I'm currently running Lightburn with my other three diode lasers but my new one does not work with Lightburn it works with.Alternative software to Bslapp / is LaserGRBL compatible. With Z5-1 Fiber Laser but yesterday it was going crazy when I was trying to use it and getting all kinds of warning messages.

Your contents are good, except to make peoples know you need to optimize the Title & Description, "CO2 Build" does not mean anything (why you want to build carbon dioxide, it an air 😅), it better like "Part 1 DIY CO2 Laser cutter/Machine Build..." in the future I hope you create tutorial for building cheap, simple, minimal co2 laser machine without outer frame/cover/legs and thanks your videos are my inspiration.

You can adjust brightness, contrast, and much more in Lightburn under the tools drop down then adjust image, same place the trace feature is.

I highly doubt that I will get an answer. Considering that the video is 2 years old. But I have a problem that my board does not save the "$Radio/mode=STA" setting after rebooting. And returns to AP mode. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I don't understand about flashing firmware. This will overwrite Arduino Uno ATMega328 chip? Why there is warning about damaging Arduino? What can go wrong? and after flashing firmware, that Arduino Uno can only be used for CNC?
