    There are Garage paint jobs, then Driveway paint jobs, but Street paint jobs are on a whole other level.

    The Pontiac 6000 my wife had when we got married had serious paint issues. It looked like it was painted with crackle paint.
    It received a “high quality” driveway paint job too with Tremclad Automotive out of spray cans. Looked much better but the rust worms got so bad after a few years that the car left a rusty rectangle in the driveway whenever it rained.

    Lol I've been watching painting videos for about 5hrs now just picking up lil tips and tricks to expand upon the rattle can knowledge. I can say there's a laundry list of things you could've did to do it "right" but this was still simultaneously the best and worst video I've watched. Your cynical yet realistic application made me realize you're a man of my own heart and I respect that

    • @briizcustoms9543
      @briizcustoms9543 Год назад

      What’s on the laundry list? I’m going to attempt one of these

      @@briizcustoms9543 well I mean 5 hrs of how to paint automobiles with paint cans would inform you better than I could 😅 but your going to want to clean the car, sand down the car with some med aggressive sandpaper, clean the car, Bondo any rusted spots, spray and sand that down with a medium light sandpaper, primer with an optional light sanding with a fine sand paper, clean the car ,then comes the masking and removing trim, use a tack cloth to give a good final wipe and then spray and pray, you'll wanna give that a light sanding with some really fine paper to get it to a dull matte finish the hit it with some 2 part clear coat in a can, the you'll wanna buff it with some rubbing compound and finally some polishing compound.

    You might want to get some McGuiar’s Rubbing compound liquid for those headlights of yours. Apply it and use a microfiche cloth to scrub it in, let dry for a few minutes, use another cloth to remove and repeat if needed. Also after you’re done..put some good wax like McGuiar’s Gold class wax, it works awesome, helps protect against re-yellowing of the lights. Try it in a video to show others the results! Great video of the painting by the way!

      Or the cheaper way is to use toothpaste and Windex to wipe it off with. Have em looking brand new then hit em with a coat of gloss or clear coat to add the shine

    It seems that GM had a real problem with their white paint. My 2003 Chevy Express van has the same exact problem. The white paint flakes off in big pieces. You’ve inspired me to try much the same trick and yes, it will be done outside in the wind. How can I argue with such a successful process. Well done!

    I had a Concorde that had Chrysler's self-extracting paint system. I finally took a putty knife and scraped off as much remaining paint as possible, and primed it with Rustoleum white primer and a paint brush. Once it dried about a week I wet sanded it and painted it with Rustoleum safety red spray paint. After several coats it looked decent enough. It lasted as long as the car did, several years, with just a semi-annual waxing.

    Home Depot sells a trigger that just slips onto the spray nozzle of the rustoleum spray cans makes life a lot easier. Years ago I tried the rustoleum house paint idea on my 88 Ford Ranger mini truck. It was very labor intensive but it turned out o.k. Would I recommend it ? it's not for everybody but it cost me way less than $100.00 and with me being Cheap it was o.k.

    Dude has mad painting skills. I was essentially expressed by the 30 second hood preparation. There are plenty of pro paint shops that would make use, of such a highly skilled driveway painter. And I'm sure ther are plenty of RUclips viewers that can take advantage of his awesome skills. Like the old saying goes, if you want it done right, do it yourself. However if you ever want to sell your vehicle. Let the pros work on it.
