    Quick tip; you’re suppose to turn your gun upside down before you spray. You pull the trigger until the liner crinkles up. That way if you spray upside you’ll have no issues. The 3M guy came to our AutoBody class to show us how to use the PPS. Almost 20 years of painting experience here. Also you turn the spray can upside down and spray until nothing comes out, they punch a hole in it. OG showed me that in the 90’s. Love the vids man! Respect from Southwest Texas🤙🏽

      rustoleum 2x/painter's touch use an any-angle spray tip that doesn't let you tilt the can upside down to clean the tip. the idea is that you can be underneath something and keep spraying or use the can in hard-to-reach areas. the only way to keep the tips clean is to remove them and clean them by hand/soak them.

      True true 30 years here and I always turn my pressure to 26 to 30 and turn my gun upside down to spray at first gets all the extra air out

    Thanks for doing a pearl with the intercoat. It came out great. It looks like Lemans Blue that Chevy used on many models. I am looking at something similar, but adding very fine silver flake to the pearl for my Isuzu Pup.

    We used to do this in the 80s.... Turn the can upside down to release all the pressure from the can....then puncture the can to make a hole + another hole. This way you can pour the paint out with no need to spray....

    • @patrickisswayze3446
      @patrickisswayze3446 6 месяцев назад +2

      Been doing this since the mid 2000s. Especially with things like pb blaster cause the aerosol would always run out before the can was half empty. Saved a lot of money and have a whole pile of marbles lol

    • @4rmthebay
      @4rmthebay 2 месяца назад

      So two holes? And where do you puncture the hole, from the bottom of the can or side?

    back in the 80s we would turn the can upside down and just let out all the air, these new cans are on another level, my point is we just drill a hole in the can after the air was gone. now they have tips on the cans that lay a wider path. the gun still is better. thank u for the video, i know the time it takes to film and edit.

    I've used that can paint in my spray gun before I set the can up in a vise and poked a tiny little hole in it with a nail in the top. I poke one on each side let all the aerosol out and then the paint flows out nicely. Another way to do it would be just turn the can completely upside down and spray all the heirs all out without losing any paint and then poked a couple holes in it when it doesn't have any pressure and then it dumps out really nice

See how it holds up! I’m thinking the clear will make primer hold up fine! Why spend hundreds of dollars for paint? If not needed!

    I think one of the design advantages that you’re missing is that the cup liner is supposed to shrink down giving you no interruption in paint supply when the gun is inverted or semi-inverted ✌🏻
    I’m also wondering if you pull the paint out of the gun between coats if it’s not drying in the tip

    Bro that paint looks good not over the top laity just subtle colour blend I like it.. tip for future reference if u gonna use a rattle can debase the can first then cut it and pour the contents into your sprayer cup of done it a few times when I only need to do a small section saves buying a whole lot and mixing it with the thinner an what not cos it's already mixed into a very thin paint... but again awesome job I love the subtle colour gradient light to dark stay blessed bro

    That spray paint is an enamel, correct? All of it is either enamel or lacquer unless it has the button to push and release an activator as far as I know. Do you know if (besides the propellant) spray can paint has anything in it that makes it any different than cans of inexpensive enamel or lacquer? Is it just pre-reduced? I also don't understand if some is labeled "oil-based" enamel whether that is different than any other.

      Have you seen the gold video?
      ruclips.net/video/pkka9mNVWDk/видео.html
      I added some pigment to the rustoleum base (5 grams to 7oz.), but it didn't seem to make a difference. Maybe the colors? or just needed more?.. 🤷‍♂️
      I'll try again.
      The pigment is best used in an intercoat or a clearcoat, so it floats on top of the base. Adding it to the basecoat will lose a lot of effect because the basecoat coverage is too thick and covers the pigments.
      You could try as a control coat. After the panel has a wet coat, continue spraying at a distance so the pigment has a longer time to land on top of the paint. But then you're wasting a bit more material.
      I recommend an intercoat and then clear for the best results!

    Hi im doing a base white that i was thinking gloss but after looking at yours im thinking semi gloss. I want to do a candy baby powder pink over it but i dont want too much because i dont want any guys to not want to sit in my car. Is there some way to measure how much powder to mix in? Im going to use por15 for rust, prime/paint all in one, clearcoat with powder, and clearcoat. You waited for the color to dry but sprayed the clear pearl and top clear while wet. Is that normal? Im using an airless with the smallest fine tip. Im hoping a 1.2 or 1.5 will work but its all experimental. Any tips? I cant get a 20 gallon compressor because i cant lift or move it.
