Take your spray can and set it in a pan of hot tap water for 10 minutes before you spray, watch how beautiful it lays down ... Keep up the great videos
This is a great trick if you live in cold climates like the east coast. Living in California during the summer just leaving the can outside for 5 minutes will get it up to 95* or more.
Definitely thank you for that bit of information, I'm just saying I read a lot of the comments under your comments just for Clarification because I want sure, but apparently I just got to put on my dashboard for just a couple of minutes (I Live In Phoenix Arizona AKA The Devils @$$H8!€), AGAIN Thank you for that tid bit of information and much Love & Respect G!🤦♂️🤷♂️✌️✌️✌️
Thanks for your videos. Very entertaining and informative. In the past when I would paint my cars with spray cans I would grab some tips off of the finish clear coat cans to help eliminate the tiger striping. Clear coat cans have a fan pattern as opposed to the dot.
"before you tell me im gonna blow the seals out if my gun, remember I've been doing this for a long time" Thats priceless dude. Can't argue with that. Well i guess they could if they want to act like a jerk. Enjoy your videos, keep em coming. Its cool to see the end results, although we almost all seem to like the over black, its nice to see the contrast. I'm not a painter, so its definitely informative for me- I could never understand starting out with such a dark base with some paint jobs, now i know why. Thank you.
Thanks bro that's good example what I was wondering with white base and blue pearl, and thanks for showing with black base, great content since the beginning i been there
Love it! White with white pearl is nice. The blue pearl on white would be great as ghost flames or an accent colour, like a two tone or stripes. Black with the blue pearl is nice too. I’d like to se gold or yellow pearl on something.
The White Pearl looks so Good before adding the Blue. The blue made it look like white over black but with poor coverage. I might be biased as I own a White Diamond CTS Coupe.
A friend of mine had a 70 Camaro that was painted white with a mix of white and blue pearl overtop. I think the guy that painted it said it was like a 6:1 ratio of white to blue pearl and that he mixed the two together, not two separate coats of each color. It was one of the most beautiful paint jobs I have ever seen. It looked white mostly in direct sunlight, but in the shadows it had an “ice blue” look to it like you see on glaciers. Have you ever thought about mixing different colors of pearls together to see what they would look like? Just found your channel and subscribed, really like your content.
I liked the white pearl. Looked nice. The first of blue looked rather intriguing. Such a hit of blue. The full coverage of blue is also a nice shade of blue. Of course the black looked excellent also. Love your videos.
By far one of the best video series to teach how this is done. These videos are just awesome! I've learned SOOO much watching this series! Never knew this much about pearls, but always wanted to know how to do it and what was involved. Getting to see all of the color changes and options is just awesome! Thanks for sharing your talent with us to show us how we can do this. That gun cleaning tip is freaking awesome!
I agree about the white. it looks more like road grime or something. The silver pearl was far better. The carb cleaner for the gun is brilliant. Thanks for sharing.
I remember seeing my first white on white pearl or maybe it was a satin finish. It was on a nice, brand new Lexus maybe 10 years ago now and I wanted to TOUCH IT! The finish was something I hadn’t seen before and I don’t even care for white as a car color but it had this inviting, tactile quality to it. Am I weird? Maybe. Do I appreciate what you’re showing me? Yes. New subscriber bruv. Thank you!
Lookn good that light blue was kinda nice lookn. Definitely different. Iv noticed over the years alota pearls show up better on darker colors and candys pop with lighter colors. Makes it hard to decide how I Wana paint my car. I like the candys like Brandywine but also like some of the holographic flake like iv done some of my parts in on few of my videos. Just don't Wana use one to over power the other.
Another Awesome video!! Thank you for making these. They should call you "The Paint Whisperer", because you have the magic touch. I have never seen anybody make rattle can paint look good. I have tried many times with the color white and no matter the brand, I always get runs. I can do a half a*s job with black. But cuss with white. Also thank you for showing the different combinations of paint colors and pearl. This saves me time, money, and frustration.
I used to mix automotive paint back in 1979-1980. DuPont Imron polyurethane paint for red was $60/gallon. Anyway, just curious if a base color with metallic coarse, medium, or fine flake would have any enhancement to the pearl. Love your content!
Can you paint a black back, and mix little orange pearl, purple pearl and blue pearl to have a copie to midnigt purple of nissan ?or close ? You are a pretty good paint and you make a good video, love it. Congrats
I’m trying to figure out this I think I’m going with sail blue rustoleum I would like to use some of the pearl I’m not sure if I should use silver or a blue to get that little almost metallic look
Bro that Key Lime is on my car right now with another color. I'm really looking forward to that combination for sure!! Be blessed. I'm really digging these videos. 😃
@@GTsPerformance I have a 2013 Police Interceptor Sedan. It's currently Oasis Blue and has a Lime Green trim and on my brake calipers. I love the color myself. I was originally going to paint the whole car.
Bro loving your channel man. Spreading knowledge, my car desperately needs a paint job...but prices are outrageous. When it's time I'm going to use your method. Thanks again 🙏🏽💯💪🏽
Man! You are cranking out some quality content!! Thank you! Have you used the Rust-Oleum color shift paints much? What you do with a spray gun is awesome!
Yeah, it really makes that color pop with pretty much every one I've seen. I'm not a painter, I use rattle can to cover crap up or keep bare metal from rusting, so I could never understand starting with a black base. Now I see why.
I came to see the blossom white for a non-automotive project. Stayed for the final results. The pearl looks really good over the black. I'm not sure if the camera can really do pearl on white much justice.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge it is much appreciated. oh, by the way I've been looking for videos on jet black base with a blue pearl where the black is more apparent than the blue, I don't if that can be achieved by using an intercoat clear or not just food for thought anyway thanks again.
Its a great series. Id be interested in knowing the durability and longevity of these can spray jobs. Plus metal flakes from dmall to bass boat flakes 🤙
I love the blue effect on that! I’ve got to do something about the peeling clear on my Honda, I’m considering a silver from the top body line up, then green pearl over that for a silver light green two tone… Maybe it’ll work
Great video. I'd like to see some pattern work with some lace or lowrider techniques. Just my two cents and thanks again for the informative entertainment
This is a cool site! One would think the clear with the hardener would bubble the Rustoleum. Not one bit! I believe you let it flash for 15 min? What temperature are you doing that in? Also, is that a 1/4 teaspoon you are using to add the pearl to the clear? Thanks.
Quick question.... I've been. Contemplating doing a silver (GMC silver birch paint) base with a matrix frost blue pearl in a tri coat fashion. You feel it would wash out the silver like it did the white in your video?
Dose the amount of pigment also determine the outcome of the color? So i have my truck panted with color shift pigment but i got some parts i want to paint try to match dose the mix have to be exactly as the first time same amount of pigment?
White base with a Ghost royal blue pearl. The powder should be white but reflects royal blue. Trying to keep the appearance of a bright white except where the light hits. I want to paint my foxbody with that combo.
Hi, Your use of colors has blown me away. I am getting ready to paint my new Hot Rod using the Eye Candy Pigments. Do I understand you are an affiliate for them? Because I will need about two to three gallons of paint to include Primer, base, clear. Thank You Ron USCG RET
I love watching this entire series with Pearl. I think it would also be cool to watch you spray metal flake in the paint.
Candies too
Im onboard with those ideas too, video gives you a much better idea of how stuff lays down and turns out than pictures do

Oldest trick in the book for scale model builders. Actually insane how much it changes the can

Thanks for showing us how to clean a paint gun! I’m going to try my first spray this spring.
Thank you for taking time out of your day to make these videos I appreciate it a lot I have learned so much from watching them
I think its worth giving all these pearls a look at night with that flashlight like u did a few videos back. At night tha would knock ur socks off!😊

I love this wow thank you so much for these this is very helpful you are giving me all types of ideas 😊
thank you for sharing your gun setup, cleanup, and stuff like carb cleaner and other usefull stuff!
Typically pearls and flakes are mixed in an intercoat clear. Then a clear coat is sprayed on top. Thus the tri coat.
Damn that white with light pearl looks good! Can't wait to see the lime.
The White Pearl looks so Good before adding the Blue. The blue made it look like white over black but with poor coverage. I might be biased as I own a White Diamond CTS Coupe.

Awsome on the black wow wouldnt have known that at all. New to this at a older age. Ty brother
Brooo i been cleaning my gun with thiner for years 😭 😂. You learn something new everyday day. Me encanta. Keep it up amigo.
That white pearl looks very similar to the color of my pickup truck. It’s white Diamond pearl
The blue was nice but not my favorite

I would love to see emerald green and pearls or something
What color pearl that will not change the color of black. But still have flakes too when you walk close to it.
Carb cleaner huh…ill have to try that next time…i usually just run acetone thru it

Love the blue
Love the gun cleaning tips!!
Wouldn’t mind seeing this sapphire blue with a grey base. Curious to see how it would compare with the black base. Good job! 🙏🏽
I used to just shoot acetone into a ball of cheesecloth to do a quick color change.
Sapphire over the black is rocking 👍👍👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you sir 🙏
Well done
Na that’s fire you can definitely see that blue hitting lightly
The white on white pearl was nice.
Try any primary color base and primary color pearl just to see if any secondary colors show through..ex. blue base, yellow pearl = maybe green tint
Cool whip
A light blue not as great as a dark blue the black is great
