Loving this series and all the options that can be done. Your explanation of the colors, how much to use and the options for spraying are awesome for the DIY'er.
Oops, that might of been my suggestion 😬 I think you're right about just spraying actual candy red over the gold. Maybe add some red pearl to the candy, just for fun. These are cool and fun videos, great idea!
My absolute favorite favorite combo for doing pearls and candy tint is to hit the base with gunmetal with some fine flake- then i’d just lightly dust that with gold flake. Then when i’d do a candy red over, it has this crazy depth to it that almost looks 3D.
Not what I expected. Good try tho. Maybe better on a silver base like when spraying candy. Black base looks good. Keep up the good work. I'm trying to find a good combo for a black and pearl finish on my Yukon. Your channel is a good reference for 💡
I really like the videos, you are really good at this, except the sag on this video but you own up to the bad stuff just as well as the good that shows you have good integrity... Other people would have just never posted it... This makes you awesome in my book... Keep it up brother
Have you seen the SHISHO Colorshift? eyecandypigments.com/products/shisho?variant=43185620943072 I think that might have those colors,.. I'm not sure if it was you who asked to replicate Nissan's Midnight Purple I'll work on the video for tomorrow! 🙌
@damienfaust2108 Thanks! I think I was just trying hard to make it work, I went heavy on the clear, and it happened! That's why test panels are good before applying all the hard work on your car
I believe if you keep spraying the Pearl over the gold it will give you a nice effect, you just have to spray it til you reach the disired effect you want ! I did a Pearl red over gold base n it was sweet ! Candies work like that . 🤔
I think the sunshine red over black has the best effect. Keep up your experiments but man are you going through hours of labor and $. Thank you for giving me great ideas on my 50 Dodge pickup.
It's sort of a rose gold which is popular but hasn't made it's way to vehicles in large numbers. On my screen I don't see much orange but that's probably my settings. Just found the channel recently and I like it. Good Job
dude you're onto something with your channel! definitely going to grow due to your consistency of your upload along with all these unique colors and test!
Hey brother love your videos! I am looking for advice. I want to accomplish a red color called seductive red. What colors, pearls do you recommend. I am trying to do it on a budget
The red over red or iver black looked good. My understanding for candy red or green u have to do alota coats over the gold or silver base. Idk tho still learning. Whats your experience been doing it in the past? So far learning alot keep up the great work
I done a tractor awhile back,I mixed white & black and it made a almond color I wonder how that senshi red would look over that being a light color base
Can you explain how you are mixing the clear on a scale? The 4:1 ratio I believe is by volume and the clear and the hardener have different densities so you can't just go 4oz to 1oz or 40g to 10g.
I'd like to see that Ghost blue pearl over rustoleum stone grey, I used the stone grey with a gloss white on my 66 c10, wonder what it would look like with a pearl clear
Been watching your videos. Great job. Showing us what works as well as what doesn't. Can you try the senshi red over a dark blue. Hope it makes a shifting purple.
HEY, Since black kinda getting the candy red? why dont you try like rustoleum regal red? with senshi red? may get closer to the candy red? thanks for the videos love them
I always hate how those metallic paints like the gold and chrome are so highly reflective, but as soon as you clear it, the metallic spreads out to a dull metallic.
I use the same paints and mica on my fishing lures. I use a soft cloth and buff the gold a little and it does get shiny. But try magenta over gold..you get an amazing color over gold..
Brown, like the "Expresso," we used with light brown pearl? ruclips.net/video/Tx4zs_jC1_E/видео.html I'll make sure to give it a try! I have some Ghost Gold
Besney Clearcoat has been sold out on ebay. Any other comparably price alternatives? Judging from buyers comments--not all clears are created equal? Please do a Clearcoat shootout. Thanks.
That color looks like the king salmon I catch late in the run, after their noses start hooking and they lose their chrome. Lol It's not a color I'd spray, but it doesn't look terrible. It looks like the old Buick pink from the 60's that has been modernized.
Quite a pleasing color-shift effect but I can see it would be a difficult combination to spray evenly. The Candy Apple over gold is a classic combination so I look forward to seeing it!

found your channel like a week ago, cant stop watching. Love the experimenting. Also love the lack of terrible music. Keep it up sir👍

The red on red really pops. I bet it looks amazing in the sun.

no bullshit lol
I am loving your video series!!
I would like to see cyan, blue, purple, red color shift over dark blue metallic and black comparison... It would be awesome to see

Thanks for making this video and help me out a lot I'm getting closer to the rose gold color I'm looking for 💯💯💯
Senshi red over black looks amazing. Wish you would paint my Canam Ryker! What city are you in? I’m in San Juan.
I believe if you keep spraying the Pearl over the gold it will give you a nice effect, you just have to spray it til you reach the disired effect you want ! I did a Pearl red over gold base n it was sweet ! Candies work like that . 🤔
Can you do a yellow with this very same gold. I think that would look amazing
I think the sunshine red over black has the best effect. Keep up your experiments but man are you going through hours of labor and $. Thank you for giving me great ideas on my 50 Dodge pickup.
Looks great, if I can suggest gold flake over bright green would also be a throw back color combo
Very interesting to see how the base color effects the final look
You’re quickly becoming one of my favorite channels sir! Def giving me ideas for my project truck
I would like to see a teal pearl over Lagoon Blue. Thanks
I'll create a video using these colors for you!

@@GTsPerformance Spring Rain or Okinawa. Your choice. They both look great to me

I'd love to see 2 tbs of senshi red over black/ dark grey
That two tone combo at the night color would look cool. Its a shame we can't see these in person, anything else does not do these colors justice.
dude you're onto something with your channel! definitely going to grow due to your consistency of your upload along with all these unique colors and test!
Thanks, bro! I appreciate your support 🙏
You should try some different colors of pearl over Chevy charcoal grey instead of just black. Ive always loved charcoal grey. Good work! 👍
I have found the metallic paints work best over a glossy black basecoat. Otherwise, I am enjoying your paint experiments!!
I’d love to see that red over a silver base!
Hey brother love your videos! I am looking for advice. I want to accomplish a red color called seductive red. What colors, pearls do you recommend. I am trying to do it on a budget
I would have thought that gold would have popped so much more!!! Thanks so much for trying it!!!
Yea, once you hit it with clear, the brilliance goes away
@@GTsPerformance I was really hoping for like a brandy wine color. That pearl over the black looks a lot more like what I was expecting

Ur opinion Rust-Oleum gloss black. Is the turbo or 2X better for shine and longevity? Thanks channel is pretty cool👍👍
So strange right
Luv the videos!
Rose gold

Looks like you sold out the clear and 25g sushi roll! LOL
I have a 1997 champagne colored fordt Thunderbird, looking to pearl it.Whats your taughts
Find a small trunk lid from a auto wreckers ans spray a flat area. Give the viewers a better visual effect
Very cool stuff
I always hate how those metallic paints like the gold and chrome are so highly reflective, but as soon as you clear it, the metallic spreads out to a dull metallic.
😂 even if you don't clear them, it'll still lose its brilliance and turn bronze
How much would you need to cover a large SUV?🤔
Try the gold with a purple purple
problem is, that rattle can will always stay soft , even when you put that clear over it you will be able to easily scratch it off with a fingernail ,
I painted my car with oil- based rustoleum, twice, and it did pretty good 👍
👍😎🤙
How long do you think that clear coat u used will last on the car with 3 coats
Well, it's still a urethane high solid clear.. I haven't tested it long-term, but I expect it to hold up well.
Ok bet! I'm try it.
Spay the red over silver
No Utility in Crypto, MEME World
Yep. That one looks bad.
Whitly auto works bro he's copying everything u doing on his channel of course a gringo
Whats the longevity of these paint jobs using the spray can paint as a base coat?
Perfect! The candy over the red is exactly what I'm looking for, thanks!

Would you consider spraying an orange pearl over a black base?
It's really cool that you try it even if it doesn't quite work out sometimes. Maybe flip it to the apple red base and gold pearl ?
It's not always a win with color combinations, but if it helps someone put their mind at rest, it's definitely a win!
I would like to see some examples of done on a light baby blue for my 53 Chevrolet
Red over gold looks copper on my phone.
Have you done a brown base with gold pigments yet? enjoy the videos! btw. the clear is out of stock. Cheers!
Brown, like the "Expresso," we used with light brown pearl? ruclips.net/video/Tx4zs_jC1_E/видео.html
I'll make sure to give it a try! I have some Ghost Gold
First to watch! 🎉
I'm glad to have you here! We're just testing what base colors work with what pearls and which don't 👌
@@GTsPerformance Absolutely LOVE it. Living through you my friend. I may have to stop by in the near future and play with some colors and learn ;)
cool work!
Yes looks like Salmon color. But the Senshe Red over black is Beautiful! ~~~~How bout doing a YELLOW base color and LIME green pearl??
I wonder what the red would look like over orange. Maybe darken up the orange and give a red sparkle?

instead of gold, look for the most _orangey-bronze metallic_ and toss a couple coats of _pink candy_ on top… it’s hot as a candy apple red ;¬)
Was this with gloss black base or matte base?
Do you have a video of senshi red over white base?? I know it will make it red but will it be a desirable color
I think gold pearl over a red base would’ve gotten the results you were looking for.
I’m impressed every time I see your new video It’s always amazing what you do
you should try this red on a smoke grey or charcoal grey base
🔥🔥
Hell ya I been waiting for the gold base….
I'll try different color pearls over it to see which one works best 👌
