- first time spring Rust-Oleum paint I combined spray can Rust-Oleum with automotive chameleon pigment powder as well as mutant crystal/trigger juice I was very amazed at the finished product Hope you enjoy.
Definitely Seaside, i love that, dont suppose you want to share your home made stuff
It's water and plant fertilizer pellets. Got the plant fertilizer from home Depot let it sit in water over night that's pretty much it.

I'm brand new at painting and trying to learn this stuff in order to shoot my lil hotrod. After shooting the Rust-Oleum, did you scuff the surface before the clear with pearl in it? And... what kind of clear did you shoot over the Rust-Oleum and does it matter what kind of clear is used? Thanks in advance, Jim

What clear coat did you use?
I personally like the blue one, but that yellow one could probably vibe on a 50s era. cool patterns on both. Lets see a whole vehicle. Blue on modern, yellow on classic.

@PaintsByTrigger it's the blue that wins in my opinion it's deeper looking but what if you tried spraying the peach color then doing the blue over the crystal effect instead of black first then do it again with the black giving the crystal effect an double color effect! Might look cool 😎

The other one looked good maybe over grabber blue with that blue to green pearl with a little of the one that has red to gold instead of over reducing black maybe a silver a darker variant kinda like paint code PSC the darker variant, idk 🤷

Not sure, All of these different colors do different things I've never actually tried that. But that may be a good one to try. I'll add that into my lineup 🫡

When ALSA came out with it you just had to wash the top layer off with hot water and a sponge.
You're saying wash off black paint with hot water?

1. Prep and paint the surface with your choice of Alsa’s or compatible brands single stage or 2 stage (BaseClear) paint.
2. Let the primary color cure according to the manufacturer’s instructions and sand it with 1000 grit wet/dry
sand paper or 3M red scotch brite.
3. Wash with soap and water and let it air dry.
4. Crystal FX can be applied by pouring the solution onto the surface.
5. Allow to dry 10-15 minutes air dry or force dry for smaller more tightly woven crystal effect.
6. Now apply your contrasting color (the color that will be shown through the spaces in the crystals). Apply this
coat in a light dusting action. (over reduce the paint a little more than normal.) Allow this layer to fully dry
(10-15 minutes)
7. Scrub off the crystals with a damp cloth or paper towel. This will leave you with very pronounced crystal
design. Allow any excess water to dry.
8. Apply any of Alsa’s high quality topcoats.
9. *** Dry times at 77ºF

What type of paint cups do you use or recommend?
I use Devilbiss Dekup system. It's pretty much the only cup system I've ever used so it's all I know. It works well for me.

I’ve seen people stab it to force the crystals to form. Body man walks drunk 😂 or his body is fucked either way 😂 wow came out good this time! I want to try it on my co workers motorcycle helmet.
Yeah there's definitely a learning curve with it, it seems like every time I try it it gets better. The key to it is patience and that's something I've always lacked one part of me says Walk away and let it dry the other part of me says fuck it do it now 🤪. And yeah the body man is pretty much handicapped at this point and drunk at the same time he lives a real rock star lifestyle if you know what I mean 🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼
