Lol@ BBW thick! But You handled it like a champ. I appreciate your honest review
4sho and everybody know that BBW thick is some thick stuff 😂😂 thanks for letting me try the product. 🫡
Heck yeah it good I been seeing this clear too but I don’t know where to get it from I wanted to try it out too
🤣 get ‘‘em off that baby bottle Triggerman, you killed the blend like always and dropped some jewels then finished it off right with that Grant 7 clear 🔥
Lmao 🤣🤣 yea man them boys don't want to come off momma titty. 😂 That Grant 7 official man. Thanks Champ 🏆💯

You can handle it Trigger. Mind over matter . Too bad the whole car didn't get cleared , that's some good stuff
🤠 thank you Tracy mind over matter 🧘🏽♂️
You're getting comfortable asf in front of that camera bro, keep it up
Thank you bro, I guess with watch video it gets easier and easier. 🫡👊🏼
I love grant 7.
I like how you tacked the plastic in addition to the panel, brilliant!
💪🏼 thank you sir 😁
Yo my boy you rocked that blend
Thanks man easy peasy 💪🏼👊🏼
I really learned a lot from you explaining the blend technique and how to keep the blend wet. Thanks so much for your help.
You're more then welcome, glad it helped 💪🏼
Hey triggerman you're the man. that clear loves a lot of pressure I use it before 45psi PS I still use your tips thank you 💯
Yea that's what I'm hearing. Higher pressure I shot a fender with my SATA Jet 5000 RP 32psi and it laid it down. That stuff is crazy thick 😄
Thanks brother 👊🏼
Triggerman that G7 is shiny but that Florida sun is going to put it to the test! Good video.
Thank you brother And yeah I thought about that the next job I spray with it I'm going to do a spare fender and keep it at the shop out in the sun and every couple months I will update you guys on how the fender is holding up sitting in the sun 24/7. But I definitely thought about that 💪🏼
It looks amazing very slick
Yea that clear is nice. The owner of the shop likes it too. 💪🏼
That's what I call perfection 😎👍
Thank you brother💪🏼👊🏼
Trigggga you been on vacation homie I thought dem vevor haters caught up with you and 🥊🥊😂. Another great video. I been curious bout that grant 7. I’m a lil scared of that extra thick clear. Might have to try a quart out 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
C'mon mannnnn them haters better stay behind them Iphones 👊🏼 yeah man needed to digital detox for a week. Yea try it out. Worst case you just have to reduce it but then that means you'll have more actual clear to spray. Thanka for watching bruh bruh 🫡💪🏼
Nice job brother ! Gotta try some of that clear myself
Thank you bro. Yea give it a try can't goo wrong
😂🤣😂 Gotta love it though trigger man 🔥🔥💯💪🏽👌🏽
Thanks brother man 💪🏼👊🏼
Hey brother, i cant believe you blended that like me, woohoo 🎉. Solid blend man, definitely too much wet bed shiy going on these days, has its place but not a simple blend.
Good to see Goldilocks getting a run in the booth too.
Can you give warming the clear up a go and see what happens with it? You may hate it but maybe not..... I hate using reducer in clear, so i always warm mine to around 35 Celcius.
Good to see you back in action, we all need a break sometimes😉🤙
COckooooo what up brother , yeah man to much wet bed safety net going on. Blended like you 😂😂😂 I'm learning man. Now if I could hit a golf ball I'd be in business 💪🏼
@@thetriggerman954 I still ain't dancing in the booth with my gun though bro 😜. 2 things I hate about wet beds are, it can create build up on edges and it almost determines the peel you end up with 🤢🤮.
You've got me on booth skills man, keep off my grass 💪🤣
I got 7 gallons of Grant in the garage...for my bus project😊😊
Another great vid fam...got my eyes for them paint fairies that will be coming!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
7 gallons good lord lol you spent some bread. Must be a nice project 💪🏼 of you see any fairies shoot on sight for me soldier 🪖 🔫 🫡
Hopefully you got the right clear for a large object like that you want a long open window maybe a slow activator slow reducer not a fast are dry clear
@@tonydiesel3444 my first tooth fairy!!!
I use a 1.2mm with my DV1-C for when I am spraying high solids and euro clears that are high solids because the 1.2mm will break up the thick clear better than a 1.3mm or 1.4mm nozzle. I use the 1.3mm and 1.4mm for medium solid production clears. I never tried Grant 7, i have heard of it and know its expensive but i would like to try it on one of my custom kandy or pearl paint jobs
Yes that clear is super thick I wonder how the DV1 would do on it. I know it will be slow but I'm curious if it can really handle it. That grant 7 is truly the thickest clear coat I've ever seen in 28 years.
Good Blend Triggerman you are the Dude
Thank you you brother. 1 2 3 blend em and send em 🫡💪🏼
What product in that aresol can did you use to blend? Thanks 😊
www.collision360.ca/pro-spray-1k-spot-blender-aerosol.html
Love that you show the blends outside in the sunlight and from different angles and distances. (Unlike ya buddy down the pike 😆 ) If it's gonna show, that's most likely where it's happening.
Hey, what nozzle, air cap, and pressure did you use for second coat of the clear with the LPH-400?
Yea man no sense hiding the cars in the shade let's see them metallics and blends. I was at 20 psi, LV silver cap, and 1.4 nozzle. It broke that clear up like it was nothing. 👊🏼
That clear looks thick like epoxy....good job
Thanks man. Yeah it's some thick shit. Almost like a clear resin type viscosity
I've been looking for a new clear for almost a decade I've tried a few I always end up going back to PPG dc4000 I know it looks good for the decade at least2 coat clear
My all time favorite clear is PPG 2021 but it's $700 plus a Gallon now. And I don't need nothing to shine that bad 😅
Looking good trigger. How do you see that the clear is not laying out the way you want? Any tips perhaps to see how the clear lays out?😅
As soon as the clear hits the panel it should basically be the way you want the finish to look. I don't care if it is the first coat or not it should replicate what you want to see. If not stop and adjust. But it's also something that comes with time / experience. Keep painting you'll see what I mean.
👊
👊🏼
I started with 320 then I went to 400 then 500 then 600 and I'm now at 800 grit before base so 600 or 800 depending on the color and if it's solid or metallic but I like 800 I don't want no die back
Amen to that, fuck die back 🤣👊🏼
I don't know if they make it anymore but some guys were and Carolinas doing repair work and they used Omi brand AU clear coat it was as thick as honey
I've heard of Omni which is a cheaper product from PPG never heard of Omi. Was it good stuff? 🤔
Damm I enjoy watching your videos
Thank you Tim, glad you enjoy the vids man. 👊🏼
Yo Trigger! I have the LPH400 with the LVX tip. I shot some Grant 7 on some panels, and had no problems. Larger, vertical panels, I struggle. Any advice?
When you say struggle, like what type of problems are you having?
What blending thinner was that, spraymax ? I use upol blenz #9 and im lookin for something better

KAD is a biiiioatch, my last 2 Infinitis where KAD and man when I tell you a nightmare even for my own car. I kept a quart of matched paint in my personal tool box. Yea that's definitely a tough one man.
@@thetriggerman954 big facts. There are about 13 or 14 variants with Axalta 🤯
@@braindmage 😭😭😭😭😭
why not bump the pressure up a bit> does that cause too much over spray?
Depending on the gun it will start to distort/not atomize properly. I've never ran my guns that high so didn't want to screw up on camera 🤪 I was doing it live for the first time using the clear. I'm going to try it again at higher pressure "off camera" and see how it works 🤫
@@thetriggerman954 hey bro, Im painting my truck with GM INDIGO BLUE METTALIC , paint code,, U9792 , base coat /clearcoat system... what I want to do, is give it more depth and pop, like they have on the new dodge challengers with the indigo blue.. what could I do to get that effect? do I have to get some dye and make a midcoat to spray before the final clear coat? or add some pearl to the midcoat ? how do they get that beautiful effect on those challengers... thanks
@@randy1ization maybe take whatever metallic or pearl that's in the mix and add more to it, or the some in a mid coat. Do some test panels see what you like. Extra pearl in the base never hurts. But definitely do some test panels
Grant7 is a good dude he hooked me up the first time I use it, it didn't turn out to good for me and he sent another set no charge waiting to use it on the rite paint job. Can't bet that wet look.
Yea he seems cool. Did you reduce it? Or shot it straight? And which gun set up did you use?

can you please make a video about the benefits of sanding primer, if any. thank you.
Benefits of sanding primer? 🤔 You gotta break that down for me man. Primer has to be sanded down before you can paint. So I'm not really sure if there's a benefit to it it's just something that needs to be done. It's kind of like what is the benefit of masking up the car before you paint it the benefit is you don't get paint all over the car. But if you going to a little more detail on what you're asking I'll try to answer it to the best of my ability.
@@thetriggerman954 you're right! to clarify, hand sanding vs machine to achieve a flatter result. thank you!
@@HiFiInsider in my opinion you should "ALWAYS" finish your sanded primer with a DA sander with a soft interface pad. When you hand sand or block primer you will leave scratches in the primer that can shrink back and show up, so I like to use a soft pad on the DA after with either 400 or 600 grit to get those scratches out. The soft pad on the sander prevents you from changing the form of the bodywork that was repaired. I hope that helps
@@thetriggerman954 yes! thank you for the tips. 🤜🏻 🤛🏻

@@hermencruz7665 so why is the cheap cheap clear very yellow and the expensive stuff less yellow? Cheap clear has more UV protection than expensive clear? 🤔
Hey Trigger, Great video Brother! 💯👍
I am after some advice from you please....... I am thinking of purchasing the Wider4L spray gun. It is the replacement for the lph400. Have you used the W4L and would it be a worthy choice/purchase? Cheers Sir. Steve 👍
I have a friend that has that gun and it definitely does not spray the same as the LPH400 if I'm not mistaken that gun is cheaper than that LPH400 cheaper for a reason. I honestly don't think there's any other spray gun on the market that is comparable to the LPH400. Not saying it's the best but saying there's nothing that compares to it or spray similar to it.
@thetriggerman954 that what I was thinking also regarding the price difference. As I am in the UK, I am finding it hard to try and get an lph400. Would you know of anywhere that I could purchase one that ships to the UK please? Many thanks Steve👍
@@srodgie I'm not exactly sure, Amazon or eBay?
@thetriggerman954 I have seen one on Amazon UK..... LPH 400 Silver 1.4 LV for £500
Prolite probably be ok around 31 to 33 psi. Just saying. I never tried BBW.
Lol usually I spray my prolite 25-29 with no problem. Never tried a BBQ either 🤠 I did turn it up to 29 still wasn't cutting it. This stuff is different bro lol
Told you that it some good shit, it's thick and you was have to reduce it. That Vevor would do that Custom job though
I actually got it to lay down with no reducer, and a different gun. Video is loading now should be up in an hour. Check it out
Trigger man every time I use Grant 7 I am getting a lot of what I think is solvent popping wonder is reducing will help
•What activator are you using? Fast/slow/medium
•What's the temperature you're spraying in?
•all panels or just the top surfaces?
@@thetriggerman954 I did an over all paint on my 64 impala in back garage use medium hardener it was around 85 degrees waited approximately 15 minutes between coats but still got solvent pop has an excellent shine an wet look can’t see pop in sun but when in shop I can it will wet sand an buff out but just wondering why it keeps happening
I actually think I might be laying it down to thick I am just at DIY trying to do my own stuff
Your temperature and activator speed sounds correct, it may just be that you are putting it on heavy like you said. It is a thicker clear so putting it on too heavy could definitely cause solvent pop. We get accustomed to spring a lighter clear and putting it on heavy getting away with it then when it comes to something like this you have to adjust your spring style. But it sounds like you know what it is listen to your gut and ease up on them coats there 👊🏼💪🏼
Also check your panel temperature. It may be 85 in your garage, but there is a possibility that your panels could be hotter. Next time we might have to try you with a slow.
Use w400
Hey, Trigger...how does the w400 compare to the Lph400? I have the w400 and it's a favorite of mine that just felt right from day one. Little heavy on the fog with no paint booth, but I like the results.
Yea I have both and I tend to favor the LPH less fog atomizers at half the pressure lays down a nice sheet of clear. Pretty much my favorite clear gun.

Nice trigger. Yeah man that 1h1 pre-dawn metallic every time pita- I make 3 4 sprayouts on bumpers sometimes. Ngl I used to be lazy with my paper on the clear blends. Man I mixed 3 different alternates intented the last alternate just to make it blendable, You know how it is when you're Tintin colors frustrated mixing other alternates The last thing I feel like dealing with is a video camera recording it but I know it will be helpful and I plan to incorporate that in the near future Good tip and thanks for the advice. 💪🏼👊🏼
