Oh..the thumps on the bag to shake the powder to the botton brings back so many memories , and ive never painted a car...anyway bro, thanks for video..i like to see this pearl on white
I have orange pearl flake along with the green pearl flake on my old school built chopped top 55 Chevy pick up with the black lacquer paint and it still looks killer for being a 40yr old paint job
Thank you for the lack of music. I personally like to hear you talk and hear the process of what's going on. I am a musician so I hear music every single day I'm teaching music 5 days a week I'm touring and I'm performing so when I don't have to listen to music it's a pleasure
Rust-Oleum sunrise red with a gold pearl would be pretty cool. There are endless combinations. You did a great job making that fender look nice it's not easy to do with a rattle can base.
Absolutely loved your programs. I'm not professional painter either but love painting cars. I used the Harbor freight spray gun nd have had no problems with it either. I'm going to watch the rest of your shows too. Keep them coming.
Number one rule that I found in all the research is to always degrease before sanding. If there's any type of grease or contaminant you can sand that down into the bottom layers. I'm sure his panel is not contaminated because he uses it often but anybody else should take appropriate steps and degrease and clean before sanding. Hope this helps somebody. Love your channel bro I have found more color combos that I've been interested in on your channel than anyone else's. Thank you so much for all the videos you post very informational and you've helped me and color decisions for sure. ❤❤❤❤ Edit: I am not a professional painter at all It is just something that has been said on many research videos that I've watched. I'm very very close to having my 1991 Toyota T100 done and I've got some colors picked out.
* * * * * ... Thank you Sir for this tutorial . The latex backed sand 'paper' on ebay sells for over 1 thousand USD anything grit (grade) > 1,000 - however at 10 dollars per sheet it may be worth it . First i have heard of this product . It is great to hear birds chirping in the background rather than playing that funky music (wild cherry band from my aera) ... I am new subscriber and look forward to your tutorial videos . Thanks a Mint !!!
Here in Winnipeg,Canada. Rustoleum is called Tremclad. And we don't have the same array of colors like you have in the states. But I noticed at Peavy Mart it's like a Tractor Supply Store. Tremclad 25% more can was on sale for $9.99 cdn. That's about $7.50 US. And only gloss black and gloss white. You need the attachment for a reciprocate saw that shakes aerosol cans..
Still waitin on that white or black pearl over charcoal!!!!…..i know your a busy man so im just gonna wait patiently……that green over the blue is absolutely beautiful!!!❤❤❤…..crazy how you can make a custom paint job with pennies on the dollar with that spray can technique….i love it….i wish i would have known sooner!!! Keep up the fire content big homie!!!
Hey GT, since your doing test panels, any chance you could do a blue pearl over a white base? My son wants to paint his new car that color so I'm curious what it would look like. Thanks man! Love the videos as always!
Black light purple over black. And hey just a thought, have you ever sprayed through lace? Like you run coat let it dry then lay lace down spray over the lace then pull up the lace add a coat of clear then do light top coats. Just do the lace spray in a contrasting color so it shows up.
Damn bro, plz keep doing videos. Ive painted cars and trains and rvs now for 10+ years and i learned something from you today. Thank you for taking time out of your day to teach people and not being an asshole!
Dude over that Black is SWANGING!!!!! IM Doing a 1:24 89 Foxbody mustang... and wanted to do a Candy lime green... I was gonna do a metallic gold under the green.... but now I think I may go black base. It probably won't be Exact. Because the candy is just a tamiya candy lime. I haven't stepped up to a compressor and air gun yet. So I was wondering about your opinion on what I'm gonna try. Thanks and 🎉🎉🎉YOU GOT A NEW SUBSCRIBER 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😅
That fender is getting some paint!!! Every video you apply more and more layers. It's gonna eventually weigh too much to move around without a lift. ;) Awesome work as usual my friend.
Interesting that it barely affected the Blue. But it did give it a nice shimmer. I've been wondering what Blue Pearl over a violet color would produce? Or even a violet pearl over that Ink blue
When you spray your pearls you should use basemaker it’s a little better then clear for the pearls to lay down flat then clear over everything especially when your using like color efx Perla’s like chameleon colors
Trucks at a nerby auction come up often and very reasonable but are a forest ranger green or school bus yellow. Wondering if a clear coat + pearl could make these trucks pop
I used to have a white s14 with a slight green pearl was a real nice color. Id like to do an antifreeze green type pearl paint job on my s10. U think this pearl combo would do that over like a grabber green paint job?
Once you add the pigment to the clear and mix it, what would happen if you add a colour to it, kinda make it like a single stage? So like, add pigment to clear, than drop in an oz of black and mix it
I love the experimenting. With pearls what would happen with that same pearl and white paint? I hate the pint from the old (pink) pearls. With using the can spray I have heard that the paint is not very durable and wont last so its a waste of time and resources. With those of us who do not have massive amounts of money and supplies who dont need a SEMA show shoot will the clear hold up? Yes I know its not in a booth and understand that there are variables.
Hello, I am not a painter. I do appreciate your videos. I have watched several in the past, and i have a question. I noticed that you used a scale for your ratios of paint hardener and reducer. Are you using grams as the unit of measure? Thank you very much.
Thanks again! I have more coming up.. and proud to say I've partnered up with a company that makes pearls, flakes, colorshift, glow in the dark, and many more.. 🤫 more info on that soon!
how did you get that clear for 61? its back up to 122. love the videos man especially the Gold pearl over the red how you got like a tangerine color. Any chance you can do orange pearl over black?
I have a project truck named #midnightmaroon. If you could show a black base with a maroon color pearl over top or something else that might make this project look awesome, I'd love to see it.
hi, i want to change the color of the gas tank of my motorcycle from white to black... no dents or any repairs needed. do you recommend spraying primer before base coat?
Just subbed your channel, recommend by friend 👍👍👍 I would love to see some ghost pearl on silver, I'm ready to do my vehicle and don't know how or what ghost pearl would look best... Sure would appreciate it. THANKS 👍👍👍👍👍
beautiful color, I like it over the black better than the blue
Yeah me Too...
I agree. looks great on black.
Me too! I absolutely love the emerald green look. Amazing
That came out really nice!! The metallic really pops when the light hits it just right. Excellent work!
Oh..the thumps on the bag to shake the powder to the botton brings back so many memories , and ive never painted a car...anyway bro, thanks for video..i like to see this pearl on white
Lmao
Orange pearl over black. That would be different. I like your paint videos. I paint also but it is nice to see someone experimenting.
I have orange pearl flake along with the green pearl flake on my old school built chopped top 55 Chevy pick up with the black lacquer paint and it still looks killer for being a 40yr old paint job

That looks awesome. It makes the blue pop. Cool effect.
It's a subtle change, but looks very cool
Great video. Again, thanks for inspiring not to be afraid to experiment...
Absolutely loved your programs. I'm not professional painter either but love painting cars. I used the Harbor freight spray gun nd have had no problems with it either. I'm going to watch the rest of your shows too. Keep them coming.
Great job GT thank you for showing the effects over different colors…. I appreciate you sir!

Silver pearl over red or black would great to see. Great video. Keep them coming.
Good to see that you're wearing a spray mask. 👍
Well done looking forward to more pearls
Great job , like that effect 🎉
That turned out quite well. Nice job.
Looks great on both but for me I like the black better.
More noticeable, for sure.
The blue is just a subtle change
Victory red with purple pearl or maroon. Cool lay down of paint. I'm definitely interested to see more.
I'd like to see a Rustoleum's Sunburst Yellow with Gold pearl over it!
The colors over black always look better

@@GTsPerformance awesome stuff man. Keep the videos rolling. Your channel is growing fast.
Please do a tan base and gold pearl powder. Thanks.
This would be cool.
Color is nice. I wouldn't know it has green pear in the clear if I saw it out in the wild.
Interesting that it barely affected the Blue. But it did give it a nice shimmer.
I've been wondering what Blue Pearl over a violet color would produce? Or even a violet pearl over that Ink blue
Damm looks good I'd love to paint my boat like that
Looks great! you should try that same line green pearl over gun metal gray.
Nice videos man. You make it look doable.
That’s beautiful.
I used to have a white s14 with a slight green pearl was a real nice color. Id like to do an antifreeze green type pearl paint job on my s10. U think this pearl combo would do that over like a grabber green paint job?
Black base, faux carbon fiber pattern using drawer liner in silver, topped with gold pearl!
Cool stuff, works good
You do good work man!!
I’m with green over black 👍
that nice on black yes yes yes !
Both are good but I like black one
Over grey primer looks good also
I could do this all day. I cannot wait to do my car.
Always looks good when u do this . But have u tried a turbo can tip on your single cans? Just cause it would give u a giver fan is all .
Oh wow that's nice man! I just love your videos. Hey I wish all the channels I have subscribed to would not do music! I prefer no music anyway!
I really like the videos your doing
Once you add the pigment to the clear and mix it, what would happen if you add a colour to it, kinda make it like a single stage? So like, add pigment to clear, than drop in an oz of black and mix it
I was wanting to spray a green matalic clear over my black was wondering how it would look
My fave is metalic silver with black peral it looks like liqwid metal
I love the experimenting. With pearls what would happen with that same pearl and white paint? I hate the pint from the old (pink) pearls. Like to see what would rootbeer pearl metallic pop even more
Looking good like both blue and black with the pearl. Who do you get your pearls from?
Beautiful
If this was the final product, how long do you let it set before polishing. And when you polish, what product and buffer do you use?
Hello, I am not a painter. I do appreciate your videos. I have watched several in the past, and i have a question. I noticed that you used a scale for your ratios of paint hardener and reducer. Are you using grams as the unit of measure? Thank you very much.
It's me again I just like to say that I like your videos you share thanks again 😊
Thanks again! I have more coming up.. and proud to say I've partnered up with a company that makes pearls, flakes, colorshift, glow in the dark, and many more.. 🤫 more info on that soon!
Thanks for that in put and I will clean it before I apply my clear coat That's why I like your videos bro😁😁
What do you think about a satin black and a ghost blue pearl
Looks good on both! You just can’t see the green over blue.
Yea, you can definitely see the effect over blue, but I can't tell it's green.
You may have covered this in another video, but, where do you get your pearl from?
I want to see you do a grey base with a orange pearl
What if you put 1coat regular clear thin a coat of pearl then one more regular coat and so on
how did you get that clear for 61? its back up to 122. love the videos man especially the Gold pearl over the red how you got like a tangerine color. Any chance you can do orange pearl over black?

hi, i want to change the color of the gas tank of my motorcycle from white to black... no dents or any repairs needed. do you recommend spraying primer before base coat?
Loved It..
What would that green look like with a yellow base
Will the clear coat protect the spray paint and make it last a long time ?
Please try orange over black.
Also try black over orange.
Im really curious about the difference between them.
Any clear over beige or white pearls
Would like to see u roll a paint on fender then spray a pearl on it...
