How long did u wait in between the base to intercoat pearl and then the clear and what did u adjust ur air pressure to when u sprayed ur second coat of clear
When I'm done beating stage 4 cancer I plan on buying a kit car and doing the body work myself and this gives me inspiration. No excuses on my part been talking about doing that for years and its time I do it!
Thank you for everything you do. I ordered the ghost blue today and was talking with Jeff and Cindy I gave you a great shout out and how I was very impressed with what you do. I'm 56 I had 5 heart attack and 3 strokes and Nov had bypass surgery and 3 types of arthritis. This is my first time doing it but going to do my best.
I have a jar of this pigment for other projects, and for what I'm using it for, it looks GREAT!!!!! I'm very impressed with how it looks in automotive paint.
That was a lot of great info packed into a short amount of time. Thanks for including the orange peel and how to fix as well. Too many videos show only a perfect job every time. I'm trying to learn not watch paint porn , y'all. Keep up the good work!
Like to see the darker stuff. Both are amazing how they come out. Would love to see the same thing in a brown, like root beer, the color of a glass of root beer, dark, dark with a hint of brown with all the metal flakes!
I watched a guy use the darkest brown basecoat he could find, topped that with a mix of gold & copper metal flake, and then covered it with root beer candy. It sounds like the type of finish you're talking about. It looked nearly black in the shade, but in direct sunlight, it was amazing.
I believe both fenders are awesome! Solid 10 on both! I want a different effect, so I am thinking about a white primer sealer with a medium blue, so it’s a brighter blue instead of a dark.
Last week I ordered enough Aoi Hi Blue for 2 gallons. Mixed it 100g per gallon, sprayed a test panel and it is way lighter than expected. I messaged Eye Candy and they say I can order a black pearl and add it to the Aoi Hi Blue to make it darker. So I did. I wish I'd seen this yesterday! 😞 I think your technique is spot on!
Thanks bro that's exactly what I needed to see. I'm going to use eye candy red rose over the black. I want it to be a little red like u did with this blue. Thanks again
Hi. very good job and thank you for all these inspiration. can you do something even more darker. i'd love to see a Mix aof dark blue and purple pigment. Thank you you're doing great.
Id like to see something like that but close to a brandy wine Candy if possible amazing job I'm trying to figure out a good color for my 81c10 hope it turns out half as good as your test fenders thank you for everything you do awesome job GT
It looks like you are using a satin paint instead of a gloss paint. The final product is very nice and would be a wonderful combination for a street vehicle. I wonder what you would have for a vehicle like a 4x4 that is used in the woods and wants to be less noticeable when it is parked. That would require it to be painted in either a monotone or a conservative color like a muted green and hoow you would do it.
Absolutely love this color might actually use it on my truck .... Could u possibly try like a graphite grey on Black ?would like to see how that comes out
Dude this came out really nice! Do you think you could do this same technique but with a teal pigment? Also, maybe just mixing a small amount of pigment into the clearcoat instead of using an intercoat? I think that would be interesting to see!
Bro I can't believe why you do not have much more subscribers because your channel is so addictive, I love all this color testing would love to see this in a maroon or red, I belive it will give that black cherry look. Love this color. Thanks for all the effort you go through. Cheers from South Africa
In one of his videos he actually takes a rattle can and sprays it into the spray gun cup and then shoot it onto the fender. If you’re buying the quarts of rust oleum you would have to reduce it I’m not sure on the ratio of that but you can do it.
I've been looking for a deep, deep green to paint my Crown Vic. This technique might work, I can dial it in with a test panel. A straight up base with tinted clear over it, then final clear. Thanks!
PLEASE!! Could you shoot the ZAFFER blue pearl pigment over gray and silver. Gray is so popular now, a reduced pigment pearl would look really cool, then just a little silver at the bottom rocker of the fender like you do normally when shooting two base colors. Also in my humble opinion, pearls should always be reduced pigment like you did here. It came out RAD! When its subtle, its a more dramatic effect. When someone walks past it and only the radiused areas where it catches the sun or light is making the pear visible, people (like myself) go whoa, it has pearl! Thanks!! Keep up the rad videos!!
Brilliant work, as usual, a question please, if i have a black car and i want just a purple pearl/tint but want to retain the main black colour, how do i go about doing that, thanks for all your content it is very informative
Thanks for the video explaining this so well. I’m a new fan and this is my first time trying to do a paint job on my 06 Toyota Corolla the factory color is Dark Pearl Blue 8P4. I am restoring the roof and the hood and have Rustoleum navy blue enamel as the base coat. I noticed that it looked too blue and flat under bright outdoor lighting at night. I think that by adding the pearl clearcoat it will give just the look I envisioned! Can I add a black pearl clearcoat to achieve a similar effect, or should I always paint the base coat black?
I love the way it came out. This might be my color. Can i do the black base and put the pigment in the clear and not the intercoat? Will I get the same effect?
I prefer the deep colors. I would love to see a black cherry, black in shade and just a hint of red in sun. what I have found with eye candy pigs is that the sparkles in many colors are multi color sparkles. I would love to just get red sparkles in the red pigment. I used dark cherry and lots of green and blue sparkles in it. Can you find us just a red with red sparkles?
That’s a beautiful color. Quick question I thought you did another one and at night it looked almost pure black can you please refresh my memory, I believe you actually showed it at night.
Could you do a video where you spray the pearl with light coats and then with super heavy coats, maybe even run it a little bit so we can see how it reacts? I want to pearl clear my car but I'm worried about getting stripes or mottling
Always wondered what it would look like with a blue color like the zaffre and clear coat it with a dark blue pearl like the nokon. Would it change the color alot or just a little sparkle of dark blue?
Hey Bruh, RUclips recommended your channel, I hit the thumbnail and the rest is history!!!! I love your vids also the teaching/explaining all methods! I haven’t seen all videos yet but, have you done any full candy paint on the whole exterior of a car? From your New York people peace!
That color is close but it's still to blue the paint on my 1999 Ford paint code is LL, Deep Wedgewood Blue Metallic I found it in a 12oz spary can I reather have enough paint to do the job

Thanks so much. Was a pleasure speaking with you.
Man that is beautiful. I love those solid pearls, I don't care for the hypershifts at all. Good job.

Looks good. I was not expecting the blue to stand out so much unless the sun was hitting in.
Thanx for your videos.
Nokon Blue is the color I'm painting my car as soon as the body work is done. I would love to see it at 100% color. It already looks amazing.
Love the deep colors, my favorite is dark cherry over black. Black with hints of cherry!
I have a jar of this pigment for other projects, and for what I'm using it for, it looks GREAT!!!!! I'm very impressed with how it looks in automotive paint.

Gorgeous blue over black wouldn't mine seeing the blue over gold base, nice tip for the orange peel 🔥🔥🔥
That was a lot of great info packed into a short amount of time. Thanks for including the orange peel and how to fix as well. Too many videos show only a perfect job every time. I'm trying to learn not watch paint porn , y'all. Keep up the good work!

WOW! What a difference! I dropped it to .15g per oz. Came out really deep and dark! Thanks again for your videos!
first time checking out your channel.....I have never seen anyone clearing over spray can paint......
Awesome color, doing that with a red or gold pigment would be awesome!
I like the lighter one myself but they are both great good job
I love the dark color. Very sweet.
That color is absolutely beautiful.
Thanks bro that's exactly what I needed to see. I'm going to use eye candy red rose over the black. I want it to be a little red like u did with this blue. Thanks again
That came out a beautiful color. Great job.
Love the deep blue
Wow! That turned out nice. Great demo.
Nice! A black cherry guitar!

Impressive color. I'd like to see the same technique using Candy Red over the that blue just to see the color shift.
Beautiful deep blue, wow.
The deep color is really nice thanks for the vids I'm about to do my car

I like the color with the black base. Have you thought of doing a white and black base or light and dark base comparison.
Dude! Thanks for this!
Absolutely love this color might actually use it on my truck .... Could u possibly try like a graphite grey on Black ?would like to see how that comes out
Great video,!

Thank you for showing us this bro. Can you do like a very subtle amount of say, grey, silver, or rainbow flake over black?
I like this dark blue; can you use the Quarts of Rust-oleum cans threw a paint gun.
In one of his videos he actually takes a rattle can and sprays it into the spray gun cup and then shoot it onto the fender. If you’re buying the quarts of rust oleum you would have to reduce it I’m not sure on the ratio of that but you can do it.

New subscriber to your channel. I watch your channel from Tucson, Arizona.
Very nice!!
that look very nice
That’s the blue I want my 5 series
Right on!
the darker one almost looks like Cosmos schwarz with the nice blue pearl in it
I like them both . Would the dark blue work on my Pacific blue GMC pick up ?
Hey bud loving that Nokon blue ! Do you have a video with the full effect of the blue over black base? Thanks man!
PLEASE!! Could you shoot the ZAFFER blue pearl pigment over gray and silver. Your the best👍👍👍. If black is the best color option for pearls to start with, will it work over black primer?
Thanks for the video explaining this so well. I’m a new fan and this is my first time trying to do a paint job on my 06 Toyota Corolla the factory color is Dark Pearl Blue 8P4. Looks amazing. Love the videos keep up the good work.
How about trying Aozora Blue
?
I would like to see the Nokon Blue pearl over Rustoleum True Navy Thanks.
The nikon came out best with the black. Light coats
Could you do a video where you spray the pearl with light coats and then with super heavy coats, maybe even run it a little bit so we can see how it reacts? I want to pearl clear my car but I'm worried about getting stripes or mottling
Love your videos, man. Was wondering if you ever tried black pearl over white or silver base, or maybe a deep red base?
Can you do a white base coat for pearl or colorshift I’m curious thank you 😊
Always wondered what it would look like with a blue color like the zaffre and clear coat it with a dark blue pearl like the nokon. Would it change the color alot or just a little sparkle of dark blue?
Can you do green flake over black? Or do you have a video with that combo?
Hey Bruh, RUclips recommended your channel, I hit the thumbnail and the rest is history!!!! I love your vids also the teaching/explaining all methods! I haven’t seen all videos yet but, have you done any full candy paint on the whole exterior of a car? From your New York people peace!
I would like to see a fluorescent green with gold microflake in it
That color is close but it's still to blue the paint on my 1999 Ford paint code is LL, Deep Wedgewood Blue Metallic I found it in a 12oz spary can I reather have enough paint to do the job
I love your channel… I have a question
I am leaning towards a polyurethane single stage 2K
Can I add Pearl directly to that?
