The kit includes what you will need to start spraying paint right out of the box. LVLP technology is DIY friendly because it works with smaller compressor which is quite typical of most garage painters. Check out the video to see if this spray gun is a good fit for you!

    I sprayed some panels with this gun over the weekend. It seems to be more forgiving than HVLP guns I have used, given less fluid is coming out. No sags or runs anywhere and that’s saying something for me. No doubt, though, this channel helped a great deal. Thanks to Brian and Paint Society that little BMW that’s been collecting dust in my garage will be presentable again.

    I'm just a hobbyist and it took me quite a while to figure out to make final adjustments as you spray. Since there was usually a fair amount of time between time spraying once I got the results I wanted I always wrote down all the settings and weather conditions on the back of the spray-out card. That got me pretty darned close when I got back to the project.

    Quite right Brian, compressor tank sizes can be a problem if you're tanks too small. Another important one is airline diameter. Make sure it's up to flowing enough CFM, too small an I.D. and it's another "bottle-neck" you don't need if you're struggling for volume flow.

    • @PopsiccDesigns
      @PopsiccDesigns 3 месяца назад

      What are the signs your compressor is not putting out enough CFM for your gun?

    • @YootubeUK
      @YootubeUK 3 месяца назад

      @@PopsiccDesigns Someone more qualified than me can probably give you a better answer but, you should hear the change in sound as you pull the trigger, you'll notice it if you've a pressure gauge on the bottom of your gun. The droplet size will get bigger and more orange-peel, less paint in the air and it will be slowing you down. Brian made a video on getting the correct pressure for your gun, that will show you ideal droplet size.

    I bought a really cheap gun ,less then 50 bucks from a place where they use a slow boat to ship it hehe, have not used it yet. Looks like it will become my primer gun, I am thinking this LVLP Spray gun might be my base/clear gun since my compressor isn't so great. I only do my own stuff anyways , I am not too fussy but still want it to look decent . Good video.

    Tell you recently I bought two Porphis guns. One was $250 and one was $170. I lovè my 3 Devilbiss DV1 guns but the DV1-C is a little slow paced. That new Porphis prd-715 1.3mm I got atomizes fine like the DV1 but puts a lot more material out, though I spray at 29psi unlike 10psi with DV1-C. The other Porphis i got is a 1.8mm primer gun i really like it

    Get a 5 stage turbine and no worries about air. Just constant consistent volume and no water in the line. I recently bought the latest Fuji T series spray gun and am getting Very nice results spraying 4 to 1 clear. Finish one.
    I tend to buff every job as its garage painting and as such, there will be specs and imperfections.
    Although there might be an adjustment period at first. You may get chunky orange peel until you realize this is a bit different from compressor spraying. Once you dial it in, you will see this is the least overspray and Best air delivery by volume that you will achieve in your garage. 110 power.Plug and go. Turbine is the best kept "secret" to painting at home. Was confident enough in the system to sell my Iwattas and my Prolite. I have 5 turbine guns including 2 from China that actually do ok. But the Best I have is the Fuji T series and the Apollo 7700.

    Running a kobalt 26gallon no issues on the small to medium jobs. Big difference was going to high flow fittings I can really keep consistent pressure all the way down to 40psi at the tank. I have a tank pressure sensor in the second output port that buzzes below 50psi so I know if I'm about to get in trouble

    Hi Brian, most of your vids cover how to spray/sand and so on. And unlike most of your viewers (I presume) I don't have the funds to purchase a spray gun, compressor, and accessories so I stick to rattle can spray and make-shift air booth by taping painter's plastic around a 10x10 tent. I recently fixed & sprayed my mom's bumper but had a hard time this 2nd around because I ran into all kinds of problems and didn't know when to stop fixes. It would be great if you could cover this in your future vids, and that is: 1) how much do you sand off old paint for minor damages? What grit do you start off & end with? How do you spray primer on a minor/small area without overspraying? When removing "new" primer due to a mistake how much should one remove? I also end up sanding off too much to the point where I get frustrated and sand all the paint and start over. There are so many other mistakes I can think of but don't know if you can cover all in one vid. Let me know and I can list it all down via email. Thanks for all your vids!

Its their entry level turbine unit with a cup instead of a siphon gun. It atomizes very well and like this lvlp it comes with needles and caps so you can lay down primer, base and clear. Ive used mine with single stage enamels, base clear urethanes and even waterborne paints. Its about $400 and its self contained

    What do you do with the gun for the 5 minutes you are waiting for the paint to dry? Doesn’t the nozzle in the gun dry as well

    Those tiny air horns on that spray gun break up all the paint very nicely. Yes 40 psi does not sound like 40 but again the air horns are small. Kinda like the T110 aircap for the Tekna Prolite. Your friends and customers dont give a shit what gun you sprayed it with long as its nice. Good buy

    How is it lvlp? The cfm consumption matches a lot of hvlps. Am I wrong? Let me know if I'm missing something because I'm new to this painting thing and my hvlp I bought is 6cfm consumption.

    out of curiosity.. why the heck you need to mix colors manually? Even the hardware stores closest to my house has special autonomous color mixing machines for this. Why I cant see any machine for automotive paints? Should I make one and sell them? =)

    Those water seperators will not work if your air gets hot, which is common with a small compressor that runs all the time.

    Do you like this drizzle better than kiwami 4? Thank you so much for all you do for us!

      petes hobbies said the kiwami 4 can be used at a lower pressure than these R500 sprayguns. They consume about the same air.

    There so much that goes into automotive paint to make it perfect finish. I rather just take it to a Body shop that has all the stuff. I do how ever care for my all my cars paint. With meguiars MT300 and ultimate series

    I run a DV1 with a HVLP B+ aircap, on my 50L Air compressor, at home... With absolutely 0 issues...
    Not even 1psi drop in pressure..... Because i have a regulator at the compressor, setup perfectly too...
    Compressor max output is 160psi.... I regulate the compressor output to 75psi... Then when it gets to my gun.. I can regulate it for the gun...
    with my compressor regulator set that 75psi.. I can receive a clean 40psi at the gun, without fluctuations...
    and obviously, i never need 40psi of pressure when spraying anyway :)
    Remember people.... Sometimes its not always the gun.... its all about the setup too...
