- Have you ever wondered about your personality type? Or maybe someone else's too? Knowing about the different personality types can do a lot to help you effectively interact, connect, and deal with all kinds of people. Behaviorist and HR specialist Patrick Bet-David developed the “STAR System” typology of personality. “STAR” stands for structure, task, action, and relationship. Here are the 4 personality types explained and how to deal with them. Be sure to take note of which two types describe you the best, as most of us tend to fall into two categories (our primary type and our secondary type)!

I'm Task oriented and my mother was Relationship oriented. We got along great. However, I never mixed well with Structure oriented types, because of their inability to be flexible.
Same. And the worst part is that the majority of the world is extremely structure oriented and I'm pretty much the polar opposite of that
@@schnitzelberry The world does indeed put way too much emphasis on structure. In fact, if someone is troubled, its a common misconception that increasing structure in their lives will always be beneficial. The actual truth is that free spirits find it toxic and feel smothered by it.
lucky for you because I'm a task-oriented type and my mother's a structure-oriented type. We barely get along and our personality types are complete opposites (I'm INTP, she's ESTJ)

I am the second one, the 'Task- Oriented' type... I never mix very well with the structure type because of their inability to feel emotions. The people who make the best of my friends are usually either Task Oriented or Relationship Oriented. Very interestingly, the initial of my name is also 'T'!
At 24, I am not lying when I say I feel I've literally journeyed through all 4 of these. Not sure which I am if it's "just 1", I can frankly relate to them all.

S = Slytherin
T = Ravenclaw
A = Gryffindor
R = Hufflepuff
makes sense lol although I'm a slytherin task-oriented, but ravenclaw is like my second house anyway

I think I'm a mix of all of them
I like sticking to the rules but I have an idealistic mind and usually get lost in my imagination, I sometimes go head on into conversations but friends and family say that I'm also like an empath that always knows what's wrong and how to fix it. But if I had to choose I'd probably be more of a relationship oriented person with a bit of all of them in the side!

Despite the percentages, I think all four work together for the most part.
What makes us different is what we lean towards the most.
And I can dominantly show any one of these four at any given time depending on the situation(s) I’m in.
So these percentages are just my normal, relaxed self.

i disagree. i would say intj is structure. as an intp, i identify 100% with task. in fact if i were to sum up my entire personality for someone in just a few minutes, i would use the task description in this video, because it encapsulates me so well.

I'm all of those! I can be anything, if someone's afraid to ask for something at a restaurant, I'd ask for them. If someone were to ask about their drawing, I'd just say it looks great, the one I find myself more drawn to though would probably be the task-oriented type, just because I'm a diplomat who sees both sides of a story or just brainstorming in general. If I had to take a leadership role, I'd do it, and if I'm in a group project, I'd just ask everyone what they'd want to do, encourage them, and basically get things done tbh. :D

I most relate to the S within the STAR system though, I'm not completely devoid of emotions.
Edit: After going through a spiral of these personality identification videos, I've found that I am, according to astrology, a Virgo, and according to the MBTI personality test, I was identified as an ISTJ type.
I think that these sorts of videos are fun in the sense that you can find parts that you can relate to and find entertainment in.
After watching this, I've concluded that I'm in between or somewhat of a combination of task-oriented and action-oriented individual, with a little bit of a structure-oriented personality.

I think I am the R. I am kind and like to help people, luckily, this week someone was crying and I helped them. But when people help me when I cry, I don’t like it. I just feel like no one ever cares about me. My heart is swollen. Dark as a Dark cloud. Full of no hope.
I fall under none of these. I feel I need to do all things myself, alone, and without any external input from others. I work completely alone. I do not socialise. I am not a leader. I not a follower. I am always alone. I avoid social gatherings, being a member of a social herd, and even becoming close with anybody. If I begin to know someone, I quickly correct my behavior to make certain a connection is not made with the person that begins to become someone familiar. I am constantly thinking of ways to keep the next person I must interact with as uninterested in getting to know me as possible. I never want to depend on anybody at all. However, I also want nobody to depend on me. I value independence, self-reliance, accomplishing what must be done alone, and anonymity above everything else. I guess I fall under the miscellaneous catagory.

S = I cannot judge myself.
T = Other people have to judge, as long as they're trustworthy.
A = I shall not judge myself, because my thoughts about myself might twist my judgment.
R = Or I can just focus on myself and not define what I am.
Would be interesting to see how the STAR system can work along the Myres-Briggs 16 personality types, since each of those all have different methods for Structure, Tasks, Actions and Relations.
