frozen is extremly faulty, just plotwise. Tangled is a much better movie with great rewatchability. Let it go, and not marrying a guy you just met are the only two good things about frozen
I’d say over all tangled is better, but the way they handled frozen was brilliant. They made you think it was the same old princess lovey lovey movie, and then shattered it all to peices. Tangled is better tho.
@@defiantaichi They accidentally kill their lesson by making her wind up with a dude she knew for a day, though. She only barely didn't "just meet" him

My favorite as a young child was Aladdin, but now it's Hunchback. I really enjoy many of the characters (except the gargoyles) and I adore the film's music (except for A Guy Like You). I did enjoy Dinosaur though, and now I'm confused about why I did
"Featuring the most forgettable villain song in Disney." . . . she had a song...? I like this movie and don't remember what her song is, and up until now even knew she had one.
My sister said that one of the reasons Moana was good is because the main character is female and everyone is hawaiian. I asked why that should matter, and she said that no other disney films have done that. Lilo and Stitch never happened.
Spox, I'm pretty sure they're Samoan. The movie refers generally to the Polynesian islands for its base but the characters are Samoan (at least Mau'i is). I live in American Samoa, so watching this movie was a little different than other Disney movies.
They are a mixture of Polynesian cultures with aspects which all Polynesian cultures share, or they at least have no preference, eg. her ancestors sing in Samoan and Tokulean
NeutralObjections I second that. I think 7/10 for Hercules, easy. Home on the Range? Not even in the scale. That movie was a trainwreck. Worst Disney film after Chicken Little.
I don't get why people disliked the film so much. Fantastic animation and voice acting, lovable characters, and a wholesome message (for the kids). I'm not gonna act like it's the best disney film, but 3/10 is undeserved.
The speech that John Silver gives Jim in Treasure Planet makes me cry EVERY TIME. I was 7 when I first watched it and now I'm 21 and it still gets me. It's really personal to me which is probably 50% of the reason why I like it, but it also has a good story and fun action scenes.
All of your top 5 are so true! Thank you for making Zootopia number 1. I agree completely! I adore that movie as well! Same with the Hunchback of Notre dame, Aladdin, LILO and stitch, and Emperor’s new groove! A few of those movies are really underrated, so thanks!
I got to hate it because my little brother loved it. He was like 5 at the time and could watch this movie over and over again. We had this movie in loops just because it keeps my brother buisy.
If it makes you feel better, on his Patreon he did a somewhat longer review of these movies and he said that he’d probably give Fantasia a 7 or an 8 if you can find a version without the narrator spoiling everything. He also said that he didn’t remember why he gave Home on the Range a 6 and said that he should change it to a 5.
Fantasia was kinda boring to me. when i watched I just watched a bunch of random animation with songs in the background. I think's its cool to listen too, but not really good to watch. I respect that Walt wanted to be experimental, I just don't think it worked out very well. I honestly don't get why people love it so much.
@@thedemonthatchasedyouupyou1747 As someone who loves both Fantasia and Fantasia 2000, this is a perfectly valid opinion. I like it because I can just ignore the narrator and watch some legitimately stunning animation bring classical music to life without a single spoken word. That's really cool. If you don't like classical music, then you'll be bored out of your mind with this movie.
Thank yoooooou for appreciating Zootopia. Everyone attacks new Disney movies (mainly the ones with ORIGINAL IDEAS) but holy moly was Zootopia good ALSO emperors new groove is SO SO GOOD and like one of my favorite Disney movies ! I loved hearing your commentary on it!
Sam Jane. I think it had a good premise, and a good story. Its just the execution that fell really flat. Also for being a person who hates modern disney films, i actually loved wreck it Ralph, big hero six, and liked moana.
Sam Jane Have you watched wisecrack's video on it? It has the reasons why I don't really enjoy Zootopia, it's alright but, I don't think it's this perfect and absolutely amazing movie everyone hypes it up to be. But it's an okay movie and i appreciate that Disney even tried tackling the subject of racism
True man, but at some points, its very preachy, but i feel like they could have thrown ither messages about racism then "racism bad, equality good" mabye have messages like, how sometimes there will be inequality, or you cant get rid of racist past, it will always exist, but you can get past it.
I haven't seen that movie in a long time but what do remember is Danny devitos character constantly screaming "hey sora!!! Get up on the hydras back!!!" In KH2 lol
Zootopia should have been the one that was captioned "Someone discovered they were a furry because of this" tbh I'm sure FAR more people have seen Zootopia than Robin Hood and I'm not even sure that furries existed in the, what, sixties? Not yet.
cyber defender Yeah having a lot of people going furry over the movie is a downside. But honestly, for a movie as incredible as Zootopia, it's definitely worth it.

Yeah we all have our personal favs, for me Mulan is the greatest princess movie ever. Plus has the greatest songs out of all the movies, but that's just me.
Yeah, I don't see many flaws, I hate the art style but I love love love the music. It's probably my 2nd favorite Disney movie ever. Apparently that's an unpopular opinion though.
ive seen people defend the story and art, wich i thought was okay, i liked it well enough and most people thinks its worse than i do, i think it was okay, hercules and the characters were fun and meg had some decent character progression but iver NEVER seen anyone defend the music, gospel music for a greek tragedy? it just, just no, please why i dont like gospel music much in the first place so maybe thats the love it or hate it cinch, but yeah first person ive seen defend the music
A "gospel" in the broad sense is a religious teaching. The Muses are goddesses singing about other gods and goddesses. Ergo, a song about an ancient Greek gospel becomes ancient Greek gospel music. It's a kind of joke, and it ties into the whole film's approach of putting contemporary spins on old, dour myths for the sake of fun.

I’d give Brother Bear a 7/10. It’s not groundbreaking, but still pretty solid.
Personally, I loved Aristocats. It's one of my favorites.
Honestly same, it really was good I also really like Oliver and company I honestly don’t care what other people say it’s like really nostalgic to me somehow-
Aristocats was the shit
It is in my top 10 from a music perspective
I used to watch it on repeat. Such a nostalgic movie.

7/10 for Tangled is Criminal. Definitely better than Frozen.
Lol not everything is a meme.
SO TRUE, HECK YES
frozen is extremly faulty, just plotwise.

I like this movie and don't remember what her song is, and up until now even knew she had one.
Most of her song is just herself and Arthur talking over it.
Yeah it's just the bit where Mim has Arthur trapped in her cottage and is crowing about how batshit insane she is.
Hence the word “forgettable”! :P
@White Black the one from sword in the stone

YOU SIR, ARE VERY, VERY WRONG ABOUT MOANA!!
The best character is the chicken
Agreed
Tomatoa by far
Correct
I don't hate the chicken but seriously, he's the exact opposite.
...Tamatoa....that’s all I have to say....
Man, super glad that hunchback got higher than Frozen. It’s an underrated gem
Oh. I've heard people say Polynesian, Hawaiian, Native American, so I got confused. Thanks for the clarification.
They are a mixture of Polynesian cultures with aspects which all Polynesian cultures share, or they at least have no preference, eg. her ancestors sing in Samoan and Tokulean
Yeah, that's more accurate
I'd say Stitch was the main protagonist... If so, then I suppose Moana's the first time they did both those things at once.
The only real opinion I had a problem with was giving Hercules the same score as the goddamn travesty that is Home on the Range.
NeutralObjections I second that. I think 7/10 for Hercules, easy. Home on the Range? Not even in the scale. That movie was a trainwreck. Worst Disney film after Chicken Little.

Chicken little was a movie that I really like when I was a kid but when I saw it later on i realized how bad it was
True 😂
I got to hate it because my little brother loved it. He was like 5 at the time and could watch this movie over and over again. We had this movie in loops just because it keeps my brother buisy.
That movie was so godawful it made A Wrinkle In Time look like The Lego Movie in comparison.
Ernesto Cano Carrill I hated that movie when I was *3!*
I hated as a kid too.
I'm really schocked and dissapointed at how you think home on the range is on par with fantasia
If you don't like classical music, then you'll be bored out of your mind with this movie.
home on the range was given the same rating as Sleeping beauty 🤨.
Or big hero 6 on par with HERCULES.

Have you watched wisecrack's video on it? It has the reasons why I don't really enjoy Zootopia, it's alright but, I don't think it's this perfect and absolutely amazing movie everyone hypes it up to be. But it's an okay movie and i appreciate that Disney even tried tackling the subject of racism
True man, but at some points, its very preachy, but i feel like they could have thrown ither messages about racism then "racism bad, equality good" mabye have messages like, how sometimes there will be inequality, or you cant get rid of racist past, it will always exist, but you can get past it.

Yeah, I don't see many flaws, I hate the art style but I love love love the music. It's probably my 2nd favorite Disney movie ever. Apparently that's an unpopular opinion though.
ive seen people defend the story and art, wich i thought was okay, i liked it well enough and most people thinks its worse than i do, i think it was okay, hercules and the characters were fun and meg had some decent character progression
but iver NEVER seen anyone defend the music, gospel music for a greek tragedy? it just, just no, please why
i dont like gospel music much in the first place so maybe thats the love it or hate it cinch, but yeah first person ive seen defend the music
A "gospel" in the broad sense is a religious teaching. The Muses are goddesses singing about other gods and goddesses. Ergo, a song about an ancient Greek gospel becomes ancient Greek gospel music.
It's a kind of joke, and it ties into the whole film's approach of putting contemporary spins on old, dour myths for the sake of fun.
i love the art style and i thought it was a pretty entertaining tbh
I totes love it for its comedy and songs but tbh maybe it's so good in polsih dub 'coz I have no idea how it holds up in english
