    You have probably saved my life Ally. Was left disabled and brain damaged from a hit and run few years ago. Found you by complete accident but maybe it was fate cos without you I wouldn’t still be here. After years of just operations and hospitals and homelessness and abuse post accident and a body full of morphine and every other pain killer known to man your Yoga Nidra and your calming voice is the only thing that takes everything away for a while. Takes me away from this prison I’m stuck in. I don’t have to be this person for a short while. I can escape. I apologise cos I’m not good at writing or anything much anymore but I will never be able to find the words to thank you and how much listening to you each day means to me and the impact it’s made on my life. Thank you doesn’t come close. Whatever day your having or whatever you may do in the future you can go to sleep at night knowing that you have done something truly remarkable for someone and something not many others can ever say and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. Wishing you all the health, happiness and success in the world. Thank you Ally

      Hi there :). I’m so happy to read that yoga nidra is helping you. Have you also tried other ways of regulating your nervous system? I’m recovering from nervous system burnout, and certain practices really help me. such as alternate nostril breathing and humming breath. As well as vagus nerve self massage. Check this vids on RUclips, they help me daily in recovery:

Been more or less panic free since I wrote this comment, with a few smaller relapses. Normal anxiety going down as well. I'm actually doing better now than before the panic, because now I take better care of my health and know how to deal with stress and negativity better. You learn so much from tough periods like this. I really hope you're doing good too AUGUST OCTOBER!

      Not a fan of the term NSDR, removes the cultural elements in Yoga Nidra. Even religious christians will try to remove Hindu aspects but still call it "christian yoga". I hate to say, low-key cultural appropriation, and I am not a fan of that term

    • @the9thof13
      @the9thof13 Год назад

      @@navinthehouse4710 well thanks to the term NSDR I could find it , Discovering the one I was looking for is called Yoga Nidra is a nice extra on top of learning to feel the entire body and mind. I'm an Atheist but hindu stuff like this and stuff like karma really fascinate me. and I will tell my sister about this as Yoga Nidra I also like to use the correct term, but umbrella terms help things being found

    I'm a practicing yogi. I Normally would do Shavasana and that's when the self guided body scanning is actually done. But since I live in Manhattan, NY and the big city is not exactly peaceful even in the early mornings I decided to use body scanning from RUclips. Yours is truly one of the best I've heard and experienced. It's like a yoga guru guiding his student during shavasana. Please make video in which you're consciously scanning the systems , like you've done with the nervous system. If you could make one for say the cardiovascular renal system or the digestive system or the integumentary system, you get the idea. Really appreciate it 🙏🏻. Keep up this wonderful work. Namashkaar

    Dear Ally, I’ve been enjoying your Yoga Nidra videos and blog for the past few months and it’s been tremendously beneficial for my nervous system. The first few weeks I could feel my body screaming from the lack of stimulus and it made me realize how overworked it was. Now I go through longer videos and deeply relax and it’s amazing.
    If I could make one small request (maybe for upcoming videos or editing a few popular videos in and putting them in a separate playlist) is making some “no outro” videos. Sometimes after the body scan and breathing exercise, when there’s “nothing to do” I feel like I’m floating and it’s a wonderful state. I’d like to keep that going in silence for a while, until I feel ready without having to pause the video. I’m not sure but I suspect others might enjoy too, at least once in a while when I have time for a longer session like this video
    Thank you again and all the best.

    No background sounds or music & she DOESN'T breathe into mic or stress/loud her "P" & "T" ❤
    I know that sounds strange, but I totally lose focus when there is an audible gasp for air...for the next sentence 😮 Also certain letters, like P & T, usually get through w/ a louder PUNCH & wake me out of trance.
    Love Ally's gentle flow! Thank you
