I was listening to my favorite yoga nidra this morning, and it occurred to me to ask you for advice on developing a sankalpa. Have you made a video on that? Thank you so much. There is no way I could thank you, you've saved my sleep.
Yoga nidra is a moment of refuge. Everyday for the last 3 years at 2:30 pm I practice with you. You are my bestie and ya don’t even know it! 😂❤ lots of love ally keep swimming.
@@inspireyoga6577 you describe how I feel about yoga Nidra as well, an island of refuge, peace and calmness. Been practicing daily for 3 years also. What a lucky day it was, when I typed "guided meditation" into the YT search bar and a Nidra from Ally was suggested. It was literally love at first listen, I knew I had found my meditation style! ☮️💜🌞
I found you about 6 months ago among other yoga nidra teachers online and just resort to you now! You have such a soothing, pleasant voice that gets me through my afternoons between work and school kid pickups to very effectively recharge me! 20min seems to be my ideal amount of time. Thank you for sharing your gifts!
I've found that I am able to overcome sickness (i.e. a cold) more quickly when I incorporate several nidras throughout the day while recovering 🙌 thank you Ally 🙏♥️
Thank you Ally. I have been practising Nidra at least once a day for the past 12 months. We spend most of our adult lives in a heightened state of alert: sympathetic Nervous system: stressed: overstimulated and on the go. It is funny (maybe sad) but so true that we have to retrain our brain to relax. To down-regulate and find stillness. And then I find the clanging noises of the world become dull, less jarring and all the sharp edges are softer and there is more peace in my world. This is what Nidra, yoga, meditation and chants do for me. It has become easier for me to find this place on the mat and also off the mat because I’ve built up the brain muscle memory; the neural pathways are well established. I firmly believe that yoga Nidra might even be taught in prenatal and antenatal spaces. What a gift for young mothers and their offspring 💓 🧘🏼 Thank you Ally and team 🩷
This was so relaxing. These yoga nidra sessions over the last two years have definitely helped me to sleep better and wake up refreshed instead of feeling like I need another six hours of sleep. Thanks, Ally!
I could feel myself sinking into the deep luscious rainy season forest floor along with you in Costa Rica. The grounding feeling was absolutely incredible. I also enjoyed your talking points at the end as it allowed me to segue into my day without being interrupted with a loud RUclips ad. :) Thank you so much for everything.
it will come with time. for months i always fell asleep after the physiological signs; now, i only occasionally do-the body needs what it needs, don’t stress it🫶peace
@@eva-w I have tried different times of day. I am most aswake in the early morning. But even then it ends in a nap. I have fell asleep sitting straight up with no back support.
It's something about this one... I normally don't like the sound or can't sleep with this type of background noise...but this vids puts me in some of the deepest sleep I have been to the point I forget where I at... Great video
I have been using your meditations to regulate my nervous system when my mind spins at night … and mor recently while I heal from surgery …. Thank you for the work you do … my dream is to attend one of your live retreats
Thank you for this meditation! I am doing this meditation during a medical procedure. It helped me get thru it as peaceably as possible. Your meditations are really helping to heal my body & nervous system. I hope to become a student when I’m well. ❤️🙏🏻
This was what I needed today! Anxiety was kicking my tushy and I did a regular session during the day and this at night to calm down before bedtime. I helps so much!!! Please keep up the good work.
Thank you Ally, your yoga nidras provide the most effective, immediate and powerful way to bring my nervous system to a restorative state. I wear an Oura ring and it is astonishing how fast I go from a stressful state to a restorative state thanks to you! I use your nidras most days, with longer sessions during the weekend after sport. You have been an incredible presence in my life for the past four years…I have never felt this state before. It’s wonderful.
Dear Ally, I have been doing your Yoga Nidra's everyday now for 6 months, thank you so much for this beautiful gift🙏🕉 I hope I can make a request for a new video:⬇️
I love the short Nidra's, because the tempo of the rotation of consiousness has a faster paste, which helps my mind not to wonder and let me dive into the Nidra state very quickly. Unfortunatly, the short video's also (ofcourse) ends rather quickly, which gets me out of the Nidra state much sooner then I want. Could you maybe make a long video where the rotation/bodyscan is fast, but the "basking in nidra state" extends for a while?🙏 Just an idea, but it would be absolutely wonderfull❤️🩷❤️
@@defitfanaatI love this idea! I’m not sure if this is the same as your experience but I get into this state where i almost have no sense or feeling of my physical body , and I would love to bask in that state longer!
Hello Ally, I just did my first video with you. But it was from 3 years ago, 'nervous system massage', so I came to your channel... I'm so glad to have found it, I have a very hard time sleeping. I think this will help. I look forward to practicing with your (years of!) videos. This is all new to me. 🪷 Thank You
Thank you for creating this Ally! I've been using your videos lately for a break during work and it's been fantastic! I really like your calming voice and the relaxing tone in which you speak. Keep up the good work!❤
Hey Ally, I love your work - it has helped me on countless restless mornings! I would LOVE if you could make a few playlists based on the soundtrack in the background of the practice. I personally connect the most with the any of the nature sounds (forest or ocean) versus the "spa-like" music. So, I find myself clicking on videos, skipping ahead to hear the background and moving onto another one if it's not the "sounds of nature" haha. I feel like it could be very help to me (and I am sure others) if you could make playlists based on this to keep all of the videos in one place even as you put out new videos. For example: "Forest" or "Ocean" or "Music" or "Voice Only" etc. Hopefully that makes sense! Not the end of the world but just a helpful suggestion I have been thinking about :) Thanks again, Corey
So happy that I’ve found you - your voice is so unique and calming at the same time. I’ve been through so much the past 4 years and I really need this for healing. You make a difference ❤️
Oh Ally this is definitely in my top 3 of all time favorites by you! I really resonate with the root chakra and this body scan type of nidra is 💯! Thank you ❤ ❤❤YTT2024🎉
Quick question. I thouroughly enjoy practicing with you daily since I discovered you a few months back. Anyway, I really want to learn more about yoga nidra and plan on visiting your website shortly on a different note. If I were to build a time machine. Is there a chance you would do me the honor of attending prom with me. Will have fun dancing and I promise to be a proper gentleman? You don't have to answer for slas I do not have said time machine. Yet I am a big fan of yours🎉🙏🏻🥰
Hi Ally, love your yoga nidras! I’m not sure if you noticed, but there are a handful of yoga nidra videos of yours where the thumbnail and the video title do not align. For example, this video is titled “20 min yoga nidra” but the thumbnail says “18 minute yoga nidra”. I listened to one yesterday where the thumbnail that did not align as well
When I was imaging the breath going up my spine I started vibrating and buzzing. It was pleasant at first but got more intense and I was afraid I was going to exit my body. Any tips from anyone to help with this? It gets so intense and scares me but I know it’s a good thing I think.
It seems to me that “long sip” is an oxymoron. I believe Andrew Huberman describes the physiologic sigh as a deep breath followed by an additional sip of air, which makes a lot more sense to me.
This is the only one of your videos I could not tolerate because of that horrible jangling/insect noise in the background. It’s just awful and hurts the ears. The rest of your videos have all been very good.
I like the scripts you use very much... However, a bit of feedback here. I find it rather intrusive that you advertise your paid for courses in the same tone of voice as the yoga nidra, at the end of the session, whilst we are in the in between state of yoga nidra at the the end of the practice. I feel this is kind of...unethical.
