    This 20 Minute NSDR (Non Sleep Deep Rest) is a Yoga Nidra-style Meditation. You can think of this Yoga Nidra is like a little reset for your mind and nervous system. This guided yoga Nidra includes gentle binaural beats and soft piano to further soothe the whole nervous system and create brainwave entrainment for deep relaxation. This type of meditation also aids in deep relaxation, non-sleep deep rest, and for those who need it, sleep.
    Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation that uses a systematic method of inducing complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation. This yogic sleep technique calms the nervous system and activates the parasympathetic (relaxation, rest & digest) response which is so needed in these current times.
    This 23 Minute NSDR (Non-Sleep Deep Rest) is guided by Ally Boothroyd of Sarovara Yoga. Yog Nidra provides relaxation and promotes delta waves, which is an activity in the brain present in the state of deep sleep. If you need deep rest and stress relief then yoga Nidra meditation perfect is for you.
    In this yoga nidra guided meditation to relax you will be guided through a body scan to calm the nervous system, It’s a 23 minute yoga nidra guided relaxation to reboot your whole nervous system.     I'm in my 70's, recovering from Spinal Fusion Surgery. For six weeks I thought I would never feel normal again. All the drugs completely depleted my system. Then I had a bit of energy and sought out Yoga Nidra RUclipss. I completely love your videos, Ally!     I’ve been doing your ten minute sessions in the morning and loving the boost of energy they give me, but this longer one allowed me to go deeper and unexpectedly made me cry at the end. I think it loosened up some sadness I’ve been holding onto for a long time. Thank you for this gift.

    Omg you are really doing beautiful stuff here. I have a TBI and after 4 years, I’m finally dealing with the fact that I will have some of these symptoms forever. I get tired so easily but cannot nap. This helps tremendously.
    I’m able to get some rest and give my brain a break, while also caring for myself and giving my brain positive energy which helps in coping with my situation. Thank you so much🙏🏻

      Don’t give up, keep pushing. I had symptoms for over two years, and finally got over it. Reduce stress, exercise, meditation, heathy life style and you’ll be surprised what you can heal from. Physiotherapy helps a lot too.

      Have you looked into hyperbaric oxygen treatment lovely? I heard it can do wonders for reducing tbi symptoms. I am currently doing it for long covid and I am at session 10 now and definitely starting to see a positive impact. Alongside yoga nidra it's helping me enormously.

    Recently experienced a burnout and nothing helped as good for my constant head-aches and tiredness as these yoga nidra practices. I was in a yoga-environment earlier in life where we practied deep hatha yoga and meditation. It was an important part of my life but the environment was toxic in other ways. I'm grateful to find a way to reach those self-disolving in-between-states of conciousness again!

    Greetings from Montreal, Canada! This particular one is very powerful. And it is short, so I can use it in the morning or during the day and still get things done.

    This was such a beautiful practice. I've had a very challenging flare up of health issues recently and this was a sort of breakthrough for me.     I have dabbled with yoga nidra a bit before, but this practice you provide is excellent and exactly what I need. I have trouble sleeping enough and am chronically lethargic and tired; various aspects of my life make napping ( and night sleep) without interruptions nearly impossible. This practice gently resets me when my fatigue is turning to frustrated lashing out at myself and those around me. Thank you for sharing your skills!

    This helped me calm down and better soothe the disregulation I feel from Long COVID. I also was able to notice the deep sadness I feel for civilians killed in the wars going on. I let myself integrate the sadness, and let it become wisdom and intention to create peace in the world.

    Thank you Ally. Time spent with you and yoga nidra is always well spent. I've been practising with you nearly every day since I had Covid in March this year. I'm in the UK and have practised other types of yoga for decades now. I am finding a gradual improvement in the ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome I have been living with for 3 years and also getting clearer about what I need and setting boundaries to take care of myself. I always feel re-charged after yoga nidra, thank you so much for your help on my healing journey.

    Hello Ally from St. Louis Missouri 😊 I sustained several fractures from a fall back in September....five bones actually. I'm just getting back to work and there's a lot of nervous energy surrounding me as I make this transition. I'm finally weaning off of the pain meds as well, which is a good thing but my body is still adjusting. Incorporating this meditation into my morning routine has been incredibly beneficial. Thank you for sharing this with all who need it 🙏🏻

    Ally, I just found you and just started practicing yoga nidra over here in Los Angeles, CA. This deep rest practice was my second experience and wow. It’s so life changing and I just want to thank you! I’ve been practicing meditation for many years but incorporating yoga nidra is a game changer. I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks and tend to get stressed especially at my job so I mediate daily after work. With yoga nidra, it just took the relaxation and reset to a whole new level.     I love your yoga nidra's. I'd love to see someone say something about the term nsdr. I know you use it for the algorithm and to be found but changing the name of a cultural and ancient practice is a huge issue. We need to honour the roots of yoga, the people who created it and shared it with us and honour the practice for what it is. Not for a white man to change the name. It really goes against everything people of colour are fighting for. I'd love to see a video on this specific topic. I don't care if people can't find it cus they're looking for nsdr. People should educate themselves on the correct term and knowledge. This is exactly how we lose stuff culturally because another group of people want to take it for themselves and reinvent it. We shouldn't let this happen as yoga and yoga nidra before more popular. It's important to recognize roots and honour, respect and give credit where it's do. And that belongs to the Indians and Africans that created the practice of yoga.

It's one of the reasons that I always include the term Yoga Nidra, as that is what I guide and am a student of. I will likely be making a video on this publicly in the coming months

    I have studyingYoga Nidra on and off since 1985 after meeting Yogi Amrit Desai. Guru Dev. I instantly fell in love with him and his practice.. His yoga institute offers much. I feel more peaceful and it helps me keep a positive outlook on Life.. Your voice is very beautiful and calming.. thank you for the 20 min. One which helps if I don’t have my normal hour to practice.

    Getting over hand surgery. Your videos have helped me not take pain medication. When I feel pain I follow your Yoga Nidra videos. Each time afterwards the pain is gone. I am happy to be able to deal with this physical pain in a non-chemical way. Thank You From France.
