  • In this video, Mike Pitt teaches you a fool proof way to fix your takeaway. It's called the "Brush back drill". The drill teaches the golfer how to keep the club head and hands going straight back in the first 8 inches in the backswing which promotes more connection to the top. Implement this drill at the beginning of your range session to engrain the movement in your head then add a ball in front and see the ball fly 🏌🏼

    Can’t wait to get out and try this drill. I have suspected for some time that I am pulling the club too much inside. Thank you for the lesson!

    Great video Mike! Here's an idea for another video, somewhat related to the takeaway getting to the inside: I find a lot of amateurs get their club behind their body too much with woods and hybrids, it's something I struggle with and something I see golf partners also struggle with. Not sure if you find this as well in your lessons?

    Can’t wait to do this drill. At what point are you applying the hand pressure to set the wrists. Is that from the begging or later in the swing?

    Great video Mike. I think I'm picking up on some good habits since I started watching you and Adam because, while watching this video, I thought... "I don't have that problem". LOL. I now start back straight, hands in front of chest, leverage the lower hand to raise the club into the "L" position and I'm done. I have so few moving parts compared to a month ago. Keep 'em coming. 🤘

      That’s awesome I am so happy our content is helping! Hearing you say “I have so few moving parts” is music to our ears because that’s exactly what it should feel like! This is exactly why we do what we do, we want to change a generation of golfers and help as many people as possible play the best golf of their lives and enjoy the worlds greatest game more than ever! You are proof it’s working! Thank you so much for sharing and for watching!

      @GolfPitt Yeah, I was a bit off with my setup, but the change you and Adam offered in another video now provides SO much room for my hands to glide thru closer to my pocket. I was an early-extender, so this setup and my hip staying back makes everything so much easier. Playing Wednesday, so this should be fun. 🤘🏻

    Hi Mike. I assume you can use this fix for the driver as well? If that’s the case it would have been great to see this fix in use for the driver as well as the iron. Especially as I struggle with the driver more so.

    • @GolfPitt
      @GolfPitt  9 месяцев назад

      It’s a hard one to do with the driver because the back of the driver is around so it’s hard to push a ball back. But you can definitely feel the driver stay lower and down the line for longer like it was pushing a big ball straight back, and I would definitely help!
      I think Nike (the sq or sumo or sketching) and Callaway(“fti”? The Jimmy furyk)both had square head drivers at one point I should get on eBay and see if I can get one to do it for you guys!
