I actually do both of those bad movements and realised last week I’ve been dropping my shoulder back to get into the slot rather than the arms. Will give this drill a go on Friday
Pleased to read that you’ve found why you may be suffering with the ball striking and direction currently… yes it’s so important that this move is done correctly, no spine tilt away from the ball, stay over and allow the arms to set the club first in position as the downswing starter!
Another excellent video Harry on "dropping the arms into the slot" for an effortless golf swing! I will definitely continue to work on this dropping the arms to an extended right arm position, with a right palm and left glove hand logo down prior to rotating the body. To me, this is the most simple and effortless way to make the golf swing. Well Done As Usual Harry! Keep up the good work!!!
This is gold, when i realised this move i really had to slow down my hip rotation alot so i could get the club in the slot before firing and its really awkward in the beginning when you learn this. Its like you hit pause at the top.
Thank you, Yes that's exactly like it, for me when i've worked on this in the past it's felt like i'm waiting for the arms and get into the slot before i fire the hips/ lower body into the shot.
This video answered my question to you regarding “throw down” in the previous video (that recommended this video). Thanks!! Got it down in my head now🤗
Hi Harry, no not yet. I've been practicing this in my garden. I tried a similar move before but I never really realised the reason I couldn't do it was because I tend to be all arms, hence the casting. Another problem I have is that I can swing OK on the range but then on the course I seem to tense up, worry about ball contact, and revert to a stiff armsy swing..
Makes sense Lee, would suggest really exaggerating the right arm pushing down and delaying the body turn in your golf swing. Keep me posted, more to come!
Ive been struggling the past couple of years with topping and chunking the balls and not knowing why. I just went to my driving net and gave this method a try. It felt good and I cant wait to go give it a whirl
I've always seemed to struggle initiating the downswing and ended up either pushing my hip forward, or throwing out my arms out in an attempt to turn through the swing.. Just tried this in my net and it feels it feels much more natural. I did seem to pull quite a few shots left, but far more consistent ball stikes.
Thanks for commenting, pulling the shots a touch to the left could imply that you’re not holding the angle from stage two then to the ball… hold the angle and continue to rotate. This way the shaft lean will help keep the face more open (square) and hit straighter shots.
Good one to point out there John. It's key when doing something new in the golf swing (making changes) to do this deliberately slow, then building it up. Thanks for commenting!
Another thing i found is key to this move is the chair drill. Keeping your right hip in position while you pull back your lead hip. This gives room for your arms to come through without blocking them with your right hip. And then you can extend your lead leg and just let the club whip through
Absolutely, the chair drill is a great suggestion for this.. pleased you've tried similar drills to help with this and they're helping you. I've used the chair drill in the past on videos to help limit early extension in the upper body.
Hi Paul, thanks for letting me know your thoughts on the video. I'm a strong believer in telling my viewers the problem, cause of the problem and then the fix before explaining how to fix it simply because... why should anyone change anything in their swing without understanding why they should make the change?
Hi Harry. Liked your video. Simple and to the point, with no impossible body positions to try a reach. This game is not easy when you are not naturally gifted. I can hit unbelievable iron shots then go out the next day and my whole technique seems to have vanished. I literally am scratching my head. Which just goes to prove I have no idea how I do it. Maybe your drill is the way to give me a swing that can be repeated time and again.
Hi Jonathan, it totally agree and i'm pretty sure a lot of golfers if not every golfer can relate to this... one day everything goes your way and the next it's the complete opposite. And this will certainly help you if you're swinging over the top, trying to start the downswing from the lower body but don't seem to get the good results, or cast also. Let me know how you get on from using this drill, will be great to keep in touch!
Hi Harry Thank you for you message. Your drill was really helpful. Most of my practice is during walking the dog on the common. I get about 8 hours a week. I'm also left handed so have to reverse all the instructions. Your drill has helped with my sequencing. The less swing thoughts you have during the swing the more chance you have to develop a repeatable swing. And with you being left handed i can imagine it's a bit awkward having to reverse everything. I do online tuition which i can film the opposite way to help you find the parts in your swing you should prioritise in your golf swing to change without having to reverse anything.
Every golfer has different tips but you cannot take it too literally. I really think the biggest key is to take the club back squarely and like he said don’t turn your upper body and lean in because that will cause slices and pulls due to the incorrect club path. People tend to turn their upper body/shoulder typically because they put their biggest effort for a fast swing at the beginning of their down swing. So, square club on take away and putting the extra mfff after you start your swing.
You're spot on, that's so important when watching this video and taking the keys on board, let the arms come down, this can be done fast also as long as the body doesn't rotate too early. Give this a try and let me know how you get on!
I really like the effect this has on my swing, great impact with minimal effort. I wonder if you can address a swing thought that I have been working on which is a throw the club to right field, this idea seems good but causes me to open early to get the club in position for the right field fling, any thoughts on this. As always, your content is great and your explanations are excellent.
Thank you, and your concept sounds interesting. What i would suggest you do is taking a look at this video if you're finding that the club is opening up too much when you push the hands down in the downswing... ruclips.net/video/gBti7QCFOBc/видео.html
Thank you! It certainly would when trying to feel this motion take place in the full swing... but this in stages will be tough only because the ball will fly very low and travel a very short distance. So as long as you're ok with that... practice this in stages with driver, otherwise, use driver when you feel comfortable doing this all in one motion.
Great video! Tried "throwing" the club/head down, but tends to loose the shaft/wrist angle. Am I doing something wrong? Great result, never the less, thanks!
Thanks Brandon, so i would really exaggerate the feeling off having the right palm (or trail palm) facing the ground. This would set the wrist angle correctly and form a much better face angle at impact.
You'll be closing the face too much, so either promote more shaft lean / hold the angle set at stage two of this drill or just encourage the club at stage two to be less exaggerated with the closed position. If this is still a struggle, i'd advise looking over some of my videos about stopping the hooks... you can start by taking a look at this one here for irons... ruclips.net/video/GJGLeg5XpcI/видео.htmlsi=yIAH7rZJ1uZlvMnP and here for woods... ruclips.net/video/JcFLiOXocwU/видео.htmlsi=tR2BrtLS8Fuw0Umk
For me when I was demonstrating this in the video the arms would come down first… as the tendency I see too often is golfers pushing the hips forward and round toe alert and forces the club to go over the top and ruins the wrist angle in the downswing.
@@harryshawgolf I’d love to see a detailed description of how the arms, wrists and hands work in the release, a view from the target side looking at the follow through would be really useful.
@@harryshawgolf A view down the line but from the target side would be really useful, a look at the face and shaft angle through the strike and into the follow through 👍
Hi Gents, yes this is correct, think of casting on the outside as the wrist angle extending (the lead wrist) also over the swing plane. The trail arm extension is a great feel (before the body rotation in the downswing) as at speed, the body will fire still and sequence everything up. Let me know if theres anything else you'd like me to clarify.
Very goof question and i can only see this working if you have a good turn to the top of the swing and you can get the body working correctly in the downswing... so this does still require you to learn how to sequence the downswing. But there are different ways of doing this... but this has worked brilliantly for my students so i think this will work for you too!
Hi thanks for commenting with a great question like this. So for this movement I'd only suggesting 'breaking the wall' so shifting forward is you struggle to compress the golf ball or suffer with strike issues wit your irons. However, if you're finding that at the moment you are suffering with inconsistencies with direction, I'd suggest leaving the 'break the wall' action. Hope this makes sense!
I've had a few golfers ask me this already and this is the same for every club however, with the driver doing this will be harder in stages... so once you're ready to give this a try all in one motion... feel free to start trying to longer clubs!
Hi guys, take a look at this video below for more info regarding the weight shifting... This is why you struggle to shift your weight in the downswing... ruclips.net/video/xo-cUilpoG0/видео.htmlsi=faK81snq1rEzNEJm
If your natural swing tendency is to push the shoulder more lateral on the downswing phase dropping them by gravity wont be enough. As at speed the arms will follow the shoulders and therefore get over the top and end up getting too steep onto the ball.
@@harryshawgolf I have an o OTT move, that I just cant figure out how to eliminate. I've been trying to drop the arms in the slot and this still doesnt work 100% of the time. I will try the move you mention, and see how it goes.
Yes try the move i've mentioned and if this is still a struggle reach out to me on Whatsapp or Skillest and we can take a look at your swing to see if other drills may be more suited to you.
How does this concept then be integrated into your downswing videos where you are suggesting a drop of your pelvis prior to pushing off your rear leg. It seems that movement combined with this would be very hard to coordinate
Yes it certainly would be hard to coordinate this, i can look into producing a video on this topic, or what i would also suggest is focusing on one and then the other. The body has to be moving correctly to make swing technical changes so id' suggest focusing on the body movement and therefore using the ground first.
@@harryshawgolf thank you. Yes it seems there are a few downswing moves here, one being the arm drop along with a wrist move for shadowing and getting into the slot. It then seems from your other video the pelvic drop is another component of shallowing so my understanding from your response is you ultimately want to achieve both but master one before the other. Great instruction will do!
Yes thats correct, mastering one then the other won't take as long to achieve both than doing the two in combination at the beginning because we can only focus realistically one - two things at a time in the golf swing!
It is an awkward move to get used to doing however, if you're someone who struggled with separating the lower body and upper body in the downswing you want to give this a try. As you can see in the rest of the comments this has helped a lot of golfers!
Could be the that upper body rotation is too slow but it could also be because you’re now staying more over the ball through impact that letting go of the angle between the arm and hand (what the wrist set does) hold the set, rotate and see how that goes!
Ben hogan would puke if he saw this instruction. His right shoulder lowered and his elbow was in front of the right hip and bent at impact because he started by turning the left hip and transferring the weight to the left side. He clearly said that the right shoulder lowers as a result of the turning left hip and transferring the weight. Yes if you just drop the shoulder that's bad. But if you transfer and lower as a result you won't hit it fat or thin. The left hip is key. Always has been. Always will be
Hi thanks for commenting with your thoughts on my video. with regards to hogans move, I personally don't believe he would 'PUKE'... with the golf swing mechanics evolving/ biomechanics poor disassociation implies that the shoulders will follow the hips as they fire in the downswing... therefore limiting the room to bring the arms, hands and club back down on the reliable plane, so stalling this movement for those who struggle with Poor Flexibility and Mobility will really make a huge difference for their games. It's worked with hundreds of my students via youtube, online coaching and in person so i'd recommend trying this.
If you have read hogans book, you’d realize that he teaches a fade grip and had 6 degrees flat lies. It was a different game back then. Hogan would be swinging differently if he was born 20 years ago.
If had hogans book yes i would've been able to explain all the fine details. I'm just adding in my own recommendation to this to help control the club face more throughout your swing. And i'd certainly recommend you give this way a try @seadonkey6913
@@harryshawgolf I think you have a great way of explaining the swing. My comment was more about how he would not be puking rather I think he would be agreeing. The drill you point out in this video has helped me with synchronizing my swing.
Gotcha, well i'm pleased this has helped you improve your golf. Is there anything else you'd like to see on the channel to help you further improve your game?
Man youtube golf tips are so contradicting, i just watched a video before this saying that this movement is casting, which will bring the low point of your swing before the ball.
I have a sim and was able to work this drill in real time and it fixed my pull hook. I get what you mean though, I went from a good swing to a shitty RUclips swing real fast!
Thanks for commenting with your thoughts guys, so for this movement golfers need to be aware that casting is caused by mainly the wrist but also the lead arm pushing away from the body when golfers take the golf club back with a very narrow arc... so narrow to wide arc causes the casting motion with the lead arm but the wrist being the main influence with the lead wrist extending too early. When you practice this in stages, the aim is to feel the trail arm straighten. But all in one motion... the trail arm will remain flexed due to speed... but its the feeling of the trail arms extending holding the angle with the hands/ wrists that will make a huge difference to your game!
Hi Edward thanks for commenting regarding this, I have to admit I do have the tendency to go on about the tendency haha. I’m planning on producing more content soon hoping to post in the next couple of weeks which will be more straight to the point with the tendency and then more tips/ drills on how to fix it. So keeping you eye out for those videos and giving me your feedback would be much appreciated!
Your swing looks great, so you obviously know what you're talking about. I'm wondering if maybe I'm confused on the explanation. Soooooo many instructors teach that the right arm NOT be fully extended on the downswing until just after contact with the ball. You are saying extend it straight first and then rotate? Am I possibly misunderstanding what you are explaining? It seems very hard to fully extend the right arm before you start turning, but again, your swing looks great so.....haha Here is an example of the videos that seem contrary. You may all be saying the same thing but if it's different, I'd just like to know. Thanks! ruclips.net/video/1SAkVY48htI/видео.html
@@apaulmcdonough2170 Thanks for the input. So you're saying my left arm will limit how much I can do so I should just extend it as much as I can? I just tried it and it gets close to straight, but certainly still has a little bend in it.
@underworldevents265 Right Hand Only you can easily fully Extend the Forearm at the Elbow. However with both hands on the Grip and at a normal Swing Speed, the Right Elbow will still have some Flexion remaining at Impact and Fully Extend in the first foot or so After Impact. Find some Slow Motion Face On Swings on RUclips and slow the Playback Speed to .25 Then Focus on the Hands and the Elbows. 😉
Hi guys, thanks for commenting, so you've both nearly got it. The reason why this contradicts what golfers say with regarding the lower body should start the downswing, and it should, but you're 90% of golfers who struggle with flexbility and mobility, you'll find it very difficult to create an effective downswing plane as the club will easily cast out in front of us and effects the low point (contanct) and club face control. This gives the arms time to sync back on the preferd plane before full rotation takes place. Also, at speed your trail arm wont be compltely straight, but the feeling of this going straight down and extending down to the gorund/ trail foot helps with syncing the club back on plane.
MISTAKE, MISTAKE, MISTAKE! At the 7:00 mark Harry demonstrates with the chest facing the ball. This is the WRONG position. The chest should be facing opposite of the target (back facing target) as the arms begin to lower.
I’d suggest giving this a try before mentioning it’s a mistake… and even if it is… it’s helped thousands of golfers so why not give it a try yourself. Is there anything you’d like to see next on the channel?
I've noticed this in Ernie Ells swing. And when I played my best golf as a junior, and later in college it always felt as though I was throwing the club. Sergio and Daly are really good at throwing clubs!
Thats right for sure. Ben Hogan and every pro and low handicapper. I think he trying to create a feel for folks who struggle with the athletic sequence. But its also a good swing thought for those of us who do start our lower body before backswing finishes. The slot is the slot🙂
I don't think he said anything that contradicts that. the issue is that beginners usually lack body coordination so the "start the swing with your hips" swing thought makes them roll their entire body forward like he described in the video. Most of them also believe they should be intentionally moving their arms towards the ball instead of letting the hips do it. So this swing thought might help them not do that which in turn makes their swing use more hips naturally
Hi thanks for commenting with your thoughts I’ll take note of this for future content so YOU don’t find it boring… also… what would you like to see next?
Thank you, pleased you enjoyed the video, this is a great move you can practice to help stop this problem... once you've worked on this let me know how you're getting on!
Great explanation on why I hit fat shots when I try to hit a draw; (swing circle shifting backward); I would add that I think Jack Nicklaus said that he always felt like his back was to the target when he started dropping his trail arm. This is a very good instructional video.
That was really impressive and gives me an idea of how it should look like 🙂 My challenge so far is that my downswing is still too fast as I aim getting as quickly as possible with the clubface back to the ball 🙇🏼♂️ Have just subscribed, greetings from Germany 🇩🇪🙋🏼♂️
Thanks for subscribing. Glad you’ve enjoyed the video. Yes signing fast isn’t great if the fast move is initiated by firing the hips towards the target. But if it’s firing the arms down to make that drop happen sooner… you could be on for a winner!
Great vid I think this exactly wot I need to work on.i pull a lot of shot 10yards left of target I don’t have left to right flight so would this mean I come over top or is cause I close the club face down to much
Thanks, for someone who's doesn’t have that left to right fight i would say you'll either come over the top with the club face square to your path (aiming left of the target) therefore travels straight left or the other which could be you close the face down too much with an in to out swing path. To find out which one youtube are and how to fix it quicker than usual, we can discuss personalised tips!
It's the Feel VS Real concept, doing this is going to delay the rotation of the hips band lower body, during the drills, but when taking this into the full swings the sequence will match up. Give this a try!
I used this move in my league yesterday, and it worked great.. This is so counter-intuitive, to straighten arm early, but I was making some really good contact with a majority of the shots. I usually turn the hips immediately, on downswing, but felt like I had to delay just a bit as right arm straightens. I thought I might hit fat shots are arms felt like they were trailing a lot, but I really didnt have any issue with fat shots.
That’s great to read John, thanks for letting me know your progress using this move on the course. It’s a very counterintuitive concept but as you now know works amazingly well!
Interesting, that could be becuase you’re struggling to hold the wrist set at stage two. Hold the angle from stage two to hitting the ball and you should strike the ball better… if you’re still struggle… follow me on Skillest and we can have a chat about your swing.
Correct, he doesn't need to focus on swinging too far inside or outside as he's already only plane, but for a lot of us golfers who suffer with the casting and over the top move (the downswing fault) then this is a great way to exaggerate what we want to see on the downswing (one plane) as when you hit balls, it wont look anywhere near as exaggerated (the feel vs real concept).
You should notice a bit of extension (cupping) in the lead worst at setup but less during the swing. Would recommend taking a look at this video… ruclips.net/video/PRklKd-BwTk/видео.html
The feel vs real concept. What this feels like wont be what it looks like in your actual swing. We don't necessarily want to see the body for this long during the full swing, but the feeling it is helps you get the body arms and club back in sync and improves the sequence.
@@harryshawgolf thank you for your reply. but since amateurs mostly fire their arms way ahead of their body already, how is this drill helping? i can see it only increase the problem.
I understand the concept but maybe I don’t understand how this works with the body turn exactly. I’m hitting behind the ball (fat) which probably means I am not turning my hips correctly or fast enough? When do you turn the hips? Is the concept to start the hip turn while throwing your arms down the plane?
The hips will turn, if you're struggling to turn the hips you're not set up in the correct posture/ address position. If you are, its either because you're not holding this angle enough on the way through and hitting the ground first or you're struggling to transfer your weight.
Golfers starting the downswing with firing their hips too early and extending upwards getting there arms trapped and then fitting it with the hands… so all of those ruins the wrist angle.
thanks, brave to be simple, straightforward, effective, it's what the inconsistent golfer needs. Hard truth, easy practice.

Danke!
Hi Michael, thank you very much for commenting and the money. Much apreciated!
When u drop the arm in a slot quietly , what happens to hips? Do they move forward or rotate same time?
For me when I was demonstrating this in the video the arms would come down first… as the tendency I see too often is golfers pushing the hips forward and round toe alert and forces the club to go over the top and ruins the wrist angle in the downswing.
Excellent 👏
Thank you, is there anything else you’d like to see on the channel to help you improve your golf?
@@harryshawgolf I’d love to see a detailed description of how the arms, wrists and hands work in the release, a view from the target side looking at the follow through would be really useful.
A view from the target side as in face on view? Also, the release.. how the arms should rotate, how the wrists should work etc?
@@harryshawgolf A view down the line but from the target side would be really useful, a look at the face and shaft angle through the strike and into the follow through 👍
Ah make sense, so in front of the screen?
How does that maneuver differ from casting of the club on the downswing? Always told that was a no-no.
My initial thought too. I think the trick is to keep the trail wrist angle. Harry's just focused on stretching the elbow joint, not his wrist.
@@pbode1 That makes sense, thanks.
Casting is with the wrists. If you hold the wrist angle you won’t be casting. Always a big problem for me!
If distance is not important to a golfer, is it possible to take the club back already in a slot position ??
Very goof question and i can only see this working if you have a good turn to the top of the swing and you can get the body working correctly in the downswing... so this does still require you to learn how to sequence the downswing. But there are different ways of doing this... but this has worked brilliantly for my students so i think this will work for you too!
Does this also apply to driver ?
Yes, practicing this in stages with driver is hard but the same feeling all in one motion... but would advise exaggerating this!
What about hip sway? "Breaking through the wall" ? Do you sway 4-6 inches towards the targed as the arms drop?
Hi thanks for commenting with a great question like this. So for this movement I'd only suggesting 'breaking the wall' so shifting forward is you struggle to compress the golf ball or suffer with strike issues wit your irons. However, if you're finding that at the moment you are suffering with inconsistencies with direction, I'd suggest leaving the 'break the wall' action. Hope this makes sense!
Is this the same with the driver?
I've had a few golfers ask me this already and this is the same for every club however, with the driver doing this will be harder in stages... so once you're ready to give this a try all in one motion... feel free to start trying to longer clubs!
Hi, When r we shifting weight to lead leg??
Before you reach to the top of the backswing
Hi guys, take a look at this video below for more info regarding the weight shifting... This is why you struggle to shift your weight in the downswing... ruclips.net/video/xo-cUilpoG0/видео.htmlsi=faK81snq1rEzNEJm
what about the idea of the arms just dropping by gravity alone?
Very awkward move . I've. Always started the downswing with lower body.
It is an awkward move to get used to doing however, if you're someone who struggled with separating the lower body and upper body in the downswing you want to give this a try. As you can see in the rest of the comments this has helped a lot of golfers!
Ulnar deviation
Yes this does take place during stage 2 and 3!
Nicht gut für mich, Schläger zu oft vor dem Ball im Boden. Fette Treffer. Oberkörper zu langsam in der Rotation. 🤨
I think its casting when you lose your wrist angle, not dropping your arms...
I have a sim and was able to work this drill in real time and it fixed my pull hook. I get what you mean though, I went from a good swing to a shitty RUclips swing real fast!
Casting is wrists. You don’t release the club until right at or just after contact.
Stop showing how not to do it.
Thanks!

Your LEFT Arm will limit the amount of Right Elbow Extension
@@apaulmcdonough2170 Thanks for the input. So you're saying my left arm will limit how much I can do so I should just extend it as much as I can? I just tried it and it gets close to straight, but certainly still has a little bend in it.
@underworldevents265 Right Hand Only you can easily fully Extend the Forearm at the Elbow.
However with both hands on the Grip and at a normal Swing Speed, the Right Elbow will still have some Flexion remaining at Impact and Fully Extend in the first foot or so After Impact.
Find some Slow Motion Face On Swings on RUclips and slow the Playback Speed to .25
Then Focus on the Hands and the Elbows.

I’ll take note of this… how many videos have you managed to watch & understood the content?
MISTAKE, MISTAKE, MISTAKE! At the 7:00 mark Harry demonstrates with the chest facing the ball. This is the WRONG position. The chest should be facing opposite of the target (back facing target) as the arms begin to lower.
I’d suggest giving this a try before mentioning it’s a mistake… and even if it is… it’s helped thousands of golfers so why not give it a try yourself. Is there anything you’d like to see next on the channel?
What happened to the idea that the lower body starts the downswing before finishing the backswing?
Generation shankers happend
@@Robin-Cj Present.
I pick more great insight to fixing my swing every time I watch one of your great videos, thanks.
That’s so great to read my videos are helping you fix your golf swing. Have you managed to give this a try since watching?
Too much talking so boring
Hi thanks for commenting with your thoughts I’ll take note of this for future content so YOU don’t find it boring… also… what would you like to see next?
Excellent video. I’ll be taking these thoughts to the next practise.
Brilliant, once you’ve tried this let me know how you get on?
Hi Harry, Nice clear instruction, I come over the top with a nice slice 😮
Thank you, pleased you enjoyed the video, this is a great move you can practice to help stop this problem... once you've worked on this let me know how you're getting on!
Great explanation on why I hit fat shots when I try to hit a draw; (swing circle shifting backward); I would add that I think Jack Nicklaus said that he always felt like his back was to the target when he started dropping his trail arm. This is a very good instructional video.
Thanks for commenting, thats a great key to add to the video. Jack Nicklaus's tips resonates with this video really well.
❤
Thank you!
That was really impressive and gives me an idea of how it should look like 🙂
My challenge so far is that my downswing is still too fast as I aim getting as
quickly as possible with the clubface back to the ball 🙇🏼♂️
Have just subscribed, greetings from Germany 🇩🇪🙋🏼♂️
I was always told you have to start the downswing with the hips otherwise the sequence is incorrect...somewhat confused
It’s a very counterintuitive concept but as you now know works amazingly well!
dropping in the slot makes me chunk it 60% of the time. No idea why.
Interesting, that could be becuase you’re struggling to hold the wrist set at stage two. Hold the angle from stage two to hitting the ball and you should strike the ball better… if you’re still struggle… follow me on Skillest and we can have a chat about your swing.
@@harryshawgolf Thanks
Anytime!
Just drop the lead arm in front of you and this happens automatically! Simple.
Hi Greg, Good thought to have for your swing if you can ensure the wrist are set corrects and you hold the angle and rotate from stage 2 to 3.
Omg - you’ve described me perfectly 😩😩
Glad i was able to describe your swing to help fix it, have you managed to give this a try at the driving range yet?
I have - but a work in progress - I am though thinking more and more that golf is a left handed game for a right handed player
Good! Would you say this is because you're using the right arm to control the left arm as opposed to the opposite?
A RUclips Video of Tiger Woods iron swing shows a single plane!
Any tecnique on how not to cup the left wrist when putting down the club?
You should notice a bit of extension (cupping) in the lead worst at setup but less during the swing. Would recommend taking a look at this video… ruclips.net/video/PRklKd-BwTk/видео.html
Nice video. Everything you say makes sense. I’ll give it a try
Thanks Greg, pleased the video makes sense, have you managed to give this a try yet?
i don't understand this. you are teaching “hands pull down first“, yet in your golf swing hips fire first. can you explain this to me? thank you
The feel vs real concept.
Another great video,Thanks
Thanks for another comment and you're welcome, is there anything else you'd like to see on the channel?
Very good clear instructions
Thank you, have you managed to give this a try yet?
Same with driver?
Definitely, it’s harder to practice this in stages with driver but would recommend trying this once you do all in one motion swings!
Thank you...
You’re welcome, have you managed to give this a try yet?
👏👍👏👍
Thank you!
What happens to shallow your downswing as you rotate your hips?
Golfers starting the downswing with firing their hips too early and extending upwards getting there arms trapped and then fitting it with the hands… so all of those ruins the wrist angle.
