I tried "keeping the right heel on the ground" Harry and it is quite difficult. I found that I got just a slight movement toward the inside of the right foot instead. I was able to keep down however. I don't think I have any problem with the squat on the downswing and holding the angle through the rotation. Well Done Harry!
That’s a shame, if you’re fining this isn’t right for you. Would you like me to look into posting another video on this topic? Maybe another drill to make this move easier?
I don't think this is for everyone, cuz I tried it and it stalled my hip rotation (maybe I am just not as flexible) and I started to flip my arms at the ball which in turn killed my distance and my back.......the point of this drill is simply not to stand up during down swing, and I realize my best shots were having my trail heel up and and my lead hip is turning away from the ball and as long as I don't stand up, I am good
Hi John, thanks for commenting with your thoughts on this and I totally agree, there always a different method to swing a coin and which suits an individual player. If you find that as long as you’re not jumping up works in your swing… then stick to it! Would you like to see anything else on the channel?
@@harryshawgolf Thanks Harry, I have been having difficulties with the shoulder maybe I have been releasing the shoulder quicker than I expected. Hence my ball flight is a bit higher and shorter than I would like. A tiny lesson on that to add 10 yards would be great! Thanks

Slight movement is a good way to do it if you’re struggling to keep it down… great to hear!
keeping right heel down... interesting, will try today
Yes, this will help the lower body move correctly in the downswing if you suffer with the faults. Have you managed to give this a try?
Will definitely give this a try, i suffer from early extension and can feel it when taking shots.
Brilliant, if you’ve managed to give this a try… how did it go?!
Pulled my groin, thanks

Interesting, so a video based on how the shoulders should work in the golf swing?
@@harryshawgolf that would be perfect🙏🙏🙏
