Hi Todd, great lesson. Rick Smith taught me about 30 years ago that to stay down and thru the swing, initiate the swing with left hip, swing thru with head cocked right (ear down ) and follow completely thru like you would skip a rock. From the rear view you finish with your upper body tilted right from the hip- - all good players finish this way. On your last swing that’s the way you finished ie., upper body tilted right arms high. Also allows your arms to extend, not chicken wing. Eddie from Greenville, SC My buddies kept telling me this the last time out. You’re right I didn’t have a clue about how to fix it. I’m going to try this next time I go hit. Head, hips, toes. Got it! Thanks Todd!
At 3:13 or so, I put my cursor on the top of your head and pushed play before your swing. After your swing, my cursor is almost at your neck, so it's pretty clear to me that you're standing up. In slow motion, your head is at the same spot, almost, during setup as when you make contact with the ball, which is what you're trying to demonstrate, but you're definitely standing up after contact is made with the ball. All that said, thanks for all the great videos.
Solid point, note the head does have some movement and if anything works up and away vs down at impact. The KEY is to not overdo it or do it too early. Thanks for posting.

As a senior golfer, with some serious disabilities, I find your tips to be very helpful, and they seem geared more to "regular" players, rather than near scratch golfers. Thanks. BTW.......Your putting tip about slightly hitting down on the ball, with an upward swing, really seemed to help, yesterday. Only one three putt when I had been averaging at least five.
Great advice, Todd! Thanks! I'm 70 Y.O. and not flexible. My pro had me swing more vertically and I can rotate better, much better rotation & ball contact and no more shanks, casting, or topped shots!

I find with my students who stand up (come up out of the swing) is most often due to poor swing sequence- they start the down swing from the top and results in a very rushed downswing. Todd, I believe Jack Nicklas turned his head with the left ear lower than the right ear to start his swing. Opposite from your head tip. Am I wrong? Thanks.
Funny you should say that because if you look at Todds final swing you will see that he does the opposite of his tip and tilts his head so his left eye is over the ball not his right which is the way I was taught..

Awesome! Australia is on the bucket list. Where do you recommend playing when visiting?
Todd, Mario from Rancho Cucamonga, Cal
Great tips! Easy to remember when out playing. Looking forward to your next video.
Appreciate your post! We have a record summer of content planned.
Good tips. Will try it out tomorrow -John Ndung’u (Nairobi Kenya)

Ray Lyle 82 years old from South Africa - I was totally convinced that my weight was on my front foot. Then I asked my granddaughter, using her cell phone, to take a few pics of me striking the golf ball. HA all, and I mean all my weight, was on my back foot!!! With the help of the photographer my weight is now on my front foot and everything has improved. Many thanks!!!
Ray, post of the day here! So great that golf is bringing you and your grandkids together. Golf is the best game. How long is the golf season there?
A little over 365 days if it does not rain!!
Great tips Todd I can’t wait to try them cause I do top the ball a lot. All my buddies say I’m try to kill the ball but I don’t feel like I am.
