Honestly, if Wilds isnt there for a day 1 switch 2 release. It probably wont come to the console. IF we're waiting till net year for it, we'll just get a dedicated game from the portable team ( aka the Rise Developers)
They said the 2nd beta will use the same build as the 1st and also said the performance will be the same, but that they're trying to improve it for release
I mean they could still do this with the Switch 2. Give you a dedicated box. Slightly better SOC, ramp up the Clock speeds. The problem is, Nintendo's handhelds clearly sell more. Other than the Wii, since the SNES you could argue their homebase consoles have not sold well.

While i would love to see a switch 2 version of MH wilds, i'd much rather have something tailor-made for the SW2 itself. Doesnt have to be a risebreak 2, but i do think they have set themselves up nicely for 5th gen forward by bringing the best of both flavors of the game, a console experience and a portable one. I would assume at the earliest, if they do make a switch 2 version, it would probably come out during the master rank expansion, when they have optimization fully sorted out
TBH We will get the game you mentioned above anyways. Rise was basically that. Took parts of World and did what it could on the switch. I’d been avoiding the trailers and stuff on purpose. I can’t believe they are not going to be giving the performance with the beta. The game will be out 20 days after that. Also world Came out after the Switch, and before it MH was a niche game. Capcom would be silly to avoid the switch 2. It was also mental to not have rise on PC and consoles on day 1 too. I understand though, that was probably because that was the portable team working on it.

It hard to say, the switch 1 can run impressive game like hogwarts legacy and witcher 3. I thought it was impossible but they pulled it off. The switch 2 shouldn’t be that hard to optimize with the DLSS technology to push the graphic further it won’t look as bad as switch 1 port.
Im thinking it's possible, with some super optimisation. Plus the Switch 2 is slightly better ( in handheld ) than Steam Deck and as you said Dlss on top

People make the mistake of saying "It's not on a ps4 pros level" What do you mean by that? On its level how? Pure rasterization? Sure, but there is way, WAY more to the picture than just pure horse power. Firstly, the switch 2 has more Vram, it's also running at a much faster speed, we're talking generations ahead of the ps4 pro. Also it's architecture has some improvements to it beyond what it derives from. it also has access to very powerful tools such as FG, or a variation of it. It also has access to DLSS which can allow for amazing visuals at such a low ress. The switch 2 has better IPC as well. On top of this, it's an Nvidia card, it runs better in wilds, than AMD does, by a decent margin. The switch 2 can 100%% run wilds, not a problem at all. At the end of the day, Capcom will make it work. The game is incredibly unoptimized. But I'm confident they will put wilds on it.
Not Sure If you fully watched the video. But I think it will be coming. The Beta was an unoptimised mess ( even on my 3080TI) and it still managed to run just about on the Steam Deck. Being compared to a PS4 pro, graphically, at the end of the day we have no Idea how optimised this console will be. As you Said it has a Nvidia Chip so we will be getting DLSS, Which makes a massive difference. We don't know how old the chip is though So Probably DLSS 2 Again will still be a massive leap. But FG has it's own issues, In a game Were Latency is important, it will be interesting to see. As I said in the Video, I genuinely think it will be coming, Capcom would be stupid not to, Wilds is on track to be there biggest game yet. Beating it predecessor World. So for them to miss out on a potential massive market is crazy. No. I don't think so. Unless they dum down the graphics and performance, running at 15 fps maybe for the novelty of having a highly demanding game on the go. If they do a Stream version but Unless Capcom prioritize the sales rather than performance and want to butcher the Nintendo release

@mannduro More modern doesnt mean better. The SOC is probably already an older chip. The Switch 2 will not be using cutting edge tech. I do expect it to out perform the Xbox series s, but only because of optimisation and the extra 2gb of RAM. The PS5 and Xbox Series X are miles away from this. In a year or so most other Handhelds will be too. I say this as a massive Nintendo fan too. You buy Nintendo for their IP, and until recently MH was only on Nintendo. The console will have struggles going forward with games let's no pretend like it wont. But I'm interested to see just how far those limits can be pushed. Especially with the Use of DLSS.

Nope. It won't. Definitely. Switch 2 won't even be as powerful as the current strongest portable PCs. Even a mid gaming set up like rtx 2060 or 3060 won't be able to play the game beautifully. Just imagine anything weaker and more compact.
A game dev was actually going over the graphics capability for the new switch 2 and said that the specs are actually showing better graphics capability. Do I know if it's good enough to support MH wilds no but it is a possibility.

Nintendo has their reasons for not competing with Sony and Microsoft but people pretend like Nintendo couldn't compete or even destroy other consoles if they wanted to. Not only are they more focused on games geared towards children but also people that like to play games on the go or people that just don't have the money to buy top tier gaming consoles. Nintendo doesn't deserve hate though because they saved video games in the first place.
Remember This game is coming to the Xbox Series S, if they can optimise it for that console at 1440p. They can most certainly target the Switch 2 at 720-1080p
