Congrats Art! I checked out your stats on the MLB website. Not bad! Have a great weekend!
My friend Shirley will be 107 in August. Congrats to Art, love baseball
Incredible. Very glad to see him get recognition. For context, there were no MLB teams west or south of St Louis when he played. The Giants would not have been his hometown team growing up because they were still playing in the Polo Grounds in Manhattan. That's wild. He has seen a lot. Oh, and he fit in a tour of duty saving the world between high school and the big leagues. As someone who has lost all his grandparents (none of whom made it to 90, let alone 100), I have learned to soak up every bit of knowledge I can from people like him. Don't take them for granted. There were many years I did.
One of the greats! Happy birthday Art!
Happy birthday Art and god bless you
He sure sounds like he's in great shape. God bless him. 🙏
How cool is that! Great interview! So much we can learn from that generation, still!
🎉Happy Birthday!🎉
Wow! Happy birthday! Dude still got it!
Feliz aniversário para este SR um grande vencedor 100 anos não é para qualquer um conseguir chegar até esta idade
You don't need a World Series ring to make you a champion...congradulations🥳
_'..congratulations..'_
He made his MLB debut exactly three weeks before I was born
He should donate his baseball memorabilia to the baseball hall of fame before he passes away for future generations of baseball fans to see his legacy.
I just read an article about him in the New York Post the other day. Glad to see this clip in my feed. The guy is sharper than some 80 year olds. Great story.
_"Go Brandon"_
Happy birthday Art!
Art doesn't even hold the franchise's record for being their oldest pitcher.
Chet Hoff lived to be 107,playing for them when they were called the Highlanders.
Art should be joined in the Century Club in September by Bill Greason,a Black pitcher who appeared in 3 games for the cardinals in the 50's.
I like that my "Like" made the Like total 99.
Who wants to make it 100.....
Being dedicated to the sport as long as he has means his head will take the shape and appearance of a baseball.
❤👏🏻
Wasn't Game 4 of the 1953 World Series the game in which Carl Erskine set a then record by striking out 14 Yankees?
The most storied team in baseball maybe. But you can't say they are more storied than the Montreal Canadiens hockey club.
