Thanks for the info but I’m still confused about the timeline. See, in the Hawkeye series, Yelena disappears in 2018 and comes back 5 years later. That same year, 2023, she and Hawkeye fight at the end of the series. So that was Christmas of 2023. Echo then picks up 6 months right after that. In 2024. At the end of that series where King Pen is watching the news about the mayoral candidates, they are still in 2024. But now you’re saying that the Daredevil series picks up 2 years after that?

I have watched the Daredevil and the Punisher series both at least 5 times each. Charlie & Jon’s performances as Daredevil and Punisher are both some of the best within the whole Marvel universe. Every time I rewatch either of the series I catch new stuff from both of their performances, just how they portray the characters and deliver lines or their physical performances, not to mention all the action and physical work they both put into the fight scenes. They both gave us PHENOMENAL portrayals of the characters and I am so excited to get more from both of them. It’s hard to not be at least a little worried being that Disney is now at the helm of this show, but I still have a lot of faith and hope that this will turn out good and in the same vein of the Netflix shows. Cant wait until this comes out and I’m really excited to see Daredevil and Punisher back again!

Daredevil has always been one of the most interesting & often mysterious Marvel characters. I really hope they do a better job with Electra & The Hand too!
I agree, I feel like they are 1a and 1b with punisher getting the nod in my opinion. Both have good acting but I feel that Jon Bernthals acting prowess helps me lean that way. Charlie Cox definitely did amazing but something about bernthals portrayal of punisher just draws me in. Both have great fight scenes but punishers are a little more brutal.
Jon Bernthal is so damn good at playing a badass character! It’s crazy because he really is like nicest, coolest, most down to earth humble guy when you see him in real life like on his podcast or interviews and stuff, but also still such a badass cool ass guy!
From a story telling perspective, it would be pretty cool to see that Kingpin, Daredevil and Punisher wasn’t snapped but Vanessa was. Then Kingpin’s sense of loss and anger was his ignition to rise back to power with a vengeance. Making him even more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Now even more of a handful for both Daredevil and Punisher and that’s where their respective series and pick up. With them trying to clean up after an angrier and even more dangerous Kingpin.
That's the best easy this work Karen and Foggy too. The show has to start with the snap. The day of Wilson's trial. Or even the invasion. What an entrance to the MCU for everyone involved. This is gonna be so epic I trust that they've corrected course. No part of Wilson's story missed in Echo. It just made me really really hope for Alistair Smythe as another surrogate child.
Punisher definitely deserves a couple new season.

The Punisher was better than Daredevil IMO. Both very good, but I feel like Jon deserves his own serie. Magnificient actor playing his best role.

With Kingpin being around during the snap, Frank would've gone after him eventually so the best option would be to have Frank snapped, that allows Kingpin to grow his empire as he has done... now Franks back, watch out Kingpin.
I like that theory, but Punisher was definitely around during the snap. If you recall season 2, it took place right before the snap in May 2018. The epilogue scene takes place months later, when Frank ambushes those rival gangs. I think Frank would’ve spent the 5 years gunning down as many loose gangs post snap as possible while Matt would go harder into his Daredevil persona. Madoni was Frank’s direct CIA connection, she would’ve definitely helped supply his crusade against organized crime.
@@sweetchristmas92this. 100% This. Foggy and Karen are gone. If they fudge the timeline to show Kingpin's trial happening the day the Black Order invades. A delay. The next morning Fisk is brought back but the snap happens as the sun starts to set in Eastern Africa Time, which is like 5:35 according to a diagram I saw on Suntoday. Sunset was at 7:35 that might in Wakanda the magic hour would literally be an hour before that and that's not happening at all. Meaning it's about 4-5:30 based on when The Hulk blows up black Dwarf. It's not by design but they show that the shadows are there but the sun is not completely behind the trees. Wakanda is 8 hours ahead putting New York at the beautiful times of 8-9:30 snap time confirmed by their almost full shadows meaning it's at least three hours before midday. (I'm a space junkie but they should use this beautiful coincidence).

How poetic would it be is that as they await trial. The snap happens. And for some crazy reason because of how small they tried to make his court appearance everyone except the two guards under Fisk's check book. The stenographer, Matt and Wilson being the only ones left. With both characters losing the loves of their lives in that court. But Fisk even tells Matt. Even I can hear it from here. (the complete chaos that New York falls into). Matt leaves and Fisk just sits there broken only for Matt fights his way to St. Agnes in the greatest one shot Marvel will ever do. To arrive and see his mother was also snapped.
Most of the clergy and think he lived the Rapture and god's chosen people were sent to Heaven while the sinners inherited the Earth. 5 years later....
It would hit so much harder than Endgame. As Matt finally breaks down from the path he chose finally thinking it was wrong. He became his enemy (he still thinks he killed Nobu and Stick didn't live long enough to correct him and he ABSOLUTELY blames himself for dropping a building on all those Hand ninjas considering who was there. Can we just get Elektra in that other capital city of heaven that's entrance was in New York. That sounds and looks like it's Under City. And have her also survive so we can get that story right finally. With all the true players involved. Bullseye is still out there. And really has a bone to pick with Matt and Wilson.

@@richardajoy79 Oh he would’ve been hunting every gang possible. Kingpin has been keeping a low profile since he got out of prison. He’s obviously keeping heat off his back, which even Fisk mentioned keeping things quiet in Hawkeye. Frank would’ve had bigger fish to fry, but Born Again is going to put Fisk back on the spotlight using his Mayoral campaign to be a bigger threat, and reunite the defenders. This show will very much tap into the Devil’s Reign comic, it’s cool that Frank is coming back, it makes so much sense. Fisk would want to use Punisher and Daredevil as scapegoats to hunt down vigilantes.
I would love to see Jon's Punisher and Holland's Spider-Man interact on screen eventually. The contrast in personalities would be fascinating to view and a cool nod to comic history since Punisher debuted in a Spidey comic.

They should do a really dark and serious, R-rated, Kingpin movie with no heroes. Do some childhood flashbacks like they did on the shows, but really build up his background and threat level to show how powerful and scary he is. Marvel needs to spend more time developing their villains, not just their heroes
Absolutely true, great points. From Kamg to Kingpin to Galactus to Dr. Doom, there will be plenty of opportunities in upcoming MCU projects to take deep dives into origins of these villains & developing their characters more fully. Everybody loves a good origins story!

Bernthal was bred to play the punisher hands down. He brings the grittiness and attitude to the character like mo one else can.

I was always a avid reader of the Mack Bolan/ The Executioner novels by Don Pendleton so its not surprising i Became fan of Frank Castle/The Punisher From the moment i saw him Taking on Spiderman way back in 1974 , Dolph Lundgren (89) , Thomas Jane (O4) , Ray Stevenson (08) Jon Bernthal (17) who ever played Frank (dont ask me who`s the best) i`v loved them all , but deep down a little part of me thinks this may be because this is as close as i will ever get to seeing the Executioner on Film Or Tv .....

One thing Kevin should do as a way to make extra $ and fill in backstory without filming it is start an MCU comic line. First issues should be of the 5 year time with Ronan Daredevil & Punisher going around New York taking down the crazy criminals. Though that would be amazing stuff do do in a series.

What if Palpy's robes got roasted when he went to check on where Anakin fell. Remember that after some seconds Anakin had fallen, his clothes caught on fire. With Palpy wearing his robes, he didn't realize it caught on fire until it was a full on blaze. He started rolling on the ground eventually until he fell into the river. The clone troopers with him couldn't save him as he's throwing Sith lightning all over the place when he was rolling and even shocking Vader too.

I hadn’t heard they were going to kill Karen & Foggy!!! Such a dumb idea!! I can’t wait for Punisher & Jessica Jones to come back! JJ was such an underrated show! It’s nice to hear John’s passion for the character. It kinda reminds me how into the character Thomas Jane was too, really hope he pops up in DD or Punisher as one of Franks war buddies or something like that just to see him get the live he deserves!

I always found it interesting that there is so much material about the other "heroes" calling Castle crazy when he is more in touch with actual reality than they are. Castle definitely has his issues due to trauma, but he is at least aware enough to realize that when he shoots people they usually die. Meanwhile all the others tell themselves and each other that they don't kill and live in the collective delusion that the henchmen they beat to death by the dozens every weak are just going to take a little nap while those fatal injuries magically disappear.
Jon Bernthal should do a western…maybe Red Dead Redemption 😉

Marvel has been striking out a lot recently. Tbh, I have been pretty skeptical about the DDBA reboot especially after what they did to him in SheHulk. 🤦♀️ Knowing that they have reworked it with what sounds like the right team and reshot scenes to course correct the story actually makes me excited to check it out. I love Jon Bernthal's Punisher. No one else can fill Frank's boots. Can't wait to see Jon bring him to life again.

I've always considered the Netflix series to take place in a different universe, and I still do think that. That doesn't mean things could not have happened the same way in main MCU universe, they probably did, for the most part. But if they decide to retcon things, recast actors or just drop some characters without any mention of them, it's easier to justify by thinking it all happened in a different universe. There's no need for Marvel to spell it out, nor to worry about continuity that way either.

I've said this a few times myself. I think he is on a path to be compared to Leo. He's worked with great directors, indie movies and big Hollywood movies
As a 6’3 280 lb infantry Marine, dark hair, blue eyed, martial arts background I still think I should be The Punisher. Since I wasnt asked, IMO as good an actor as Jon is he’s not big enough. Tom Cruise don’t cut it as Jack Reacher, the series uses Alan Ritchson, SIGNIFICANTLY better casting. Think Punisher needs same upgrade in casting.
Can't wait to see how they build up Frank Castle/The Punisher. He's definitely gonna need a power up for the Kang Wars or whatever they do on Battle World.
Have been rewatching these shows. Daredevil, Jessica Jones (Seasons 1 & 2), and Defenders are the better shows in my opinion. Luke Cage and Iron Fist did not work for me but they work well in the Defenders concept, in my opinion. In fact, a full slate of Defenders, adding Punisher, would make me happy. I am hoping Marvel stays true to their roots and honors the fans in their new efforts. RJ

I wanted the Hawkeye series to be some sort of a prequel that addressed that 5 year gap, would’ve been awesome to see Ronin team up with Punisher and Daredevil.
I’m glad The Punisher is returning for Daredevil Born Again I hope everything goes well since they r bringing back Foggy and Karen actors coming back and Kingpin trying to run NYC and banning vigilante like characters like Daredevil, Punisher, Spider-Man, Echo, Hawkeye Kate Bishop, and other street level heroes that I can’t wait to see maybe even The Defenders comin back which I can’t wait for more so the possibilities are endless at this point but I hope this all goes well.

Hoping the new punisher is just as bloody and violent at the Netflix one. I feel echo fell short of that, they made it tvma and had one violent scene where kingpin beat the ice cream guy and it really wasn’t even that bad. They could’ve made that show a lot more adult and grown up but they didn’t, so I hope they get the punisher right this time around. I want to see more street heroes. White Tiger is suppose to be in this. Hopefully they bring in Paladin and Crossfire. It would be awesome to see if they add any Thunderbolts to this as well as Clint and Kate.
