Oz is one of those brilliant shows that unfortunately has been forgotten. It came on before The Wire, The Sopranos and got steamed rolled by those 2 great shows. Matter of fact a lot of actors in Oz got roles in The Wire and Sopranos. Also, 2 of the main cast members in Oz that were playing psycho prisoners were also playing cops in Law and Order, Chris Meloni and JK Simmons.

Jonah Jameson will always be iconic
💯💯
Wow J.K is so real. I love his way of speaking of blessing and gratitude 🙏☺️
Don't forget his role in Baldur's Gate 3 as General Ketheric Thorm! Incredible villain.
Fr I still haven't played act 3 because he felt like the final boss and like I beat the game
freaky ahh game
eh.. i had no idea he was voice acting in bg3! learn something new every day i guess haha..
I really wanted to hear him talk about Counterpart. He was brilliant in the duality he had to play.
Under appreciated series it had so much potential
A meekly gentleman Howark Silk vs. an alpha male Howard Silk... would be a really great talk, indeed.
Such and incredible show, will miss it.
+++++
That's what I was hoping for when I clicked the video! Such a missed opportunity to not ask about his dual role.
You should include video games characters too in this series, J.K. was amazing as Cave Johnson in Portal 2.
How about Howard T. Ackerman in Red Alert 3?
And as the noble Ketheric Thorm?
Oz is one of those brilliant shows that unfortunately has been forgotten. It came on before The Wire, The Sopranos and got steamed rolled by those 2 great shows. Matter of fact a lot of actors in Oz got roles in The Wire and Sopranos. Also, 2 of the main cast members in Oz that were playing psycho prisoners were also playing cops in Law and Order, Chris Meloni and JK Simmons.
My spider senses are tingling with that camera view and the way he said it XD 1:06
His performance as Cave Johnson will forever be held dear to me. The Lemon rant is one of my favorite gaming moments.
J.K. is so wholesome, and such a phenomenal actor. I will watch anything he touches. Bravo!
Let me just say that J. K. Simmons did and incredible performance as JJJ. Loved it.
I'm so happy he got to talk about Oz. Such an underrated and brilliant show. If you haven't seen it, treat yourself and start watching it.
18:42 J.K. suppressing his Terrence Fletcher rage against the Yankees 😂
*Happy 70th Birthday J.K. Simmon* 🍾🍾🍾
JK Simmons, thank you for acknowledging Sam Raimi's influence on the MCU. He for sure paved the way, cheers!
He was a perfect JJJ, but his performance in Whiplash was one-in-a-million. One of those truly unique and iconic characters like Daniel Plainview or Vito Corleone.
His talent is limitless, he's been in so many movies. He can call his own shots now.
Aw no discussion of his role in "Counterpart." I highly recommend it to anyone whos a fan of Mr. Simmons here. He plays two versions of the same character, with some interdimensional shenanigans happening. It's incredibly well done because you get the feeling they're the same character despite being absolutely nothing alike.
It's very underrated. Great show
We need Tobey Maguire breaks down his inconic characters and Elizabeth Banks as well.
Brilliant actor and exceptionally versatile.
Can't believe it's the same person one film to the next.
And every one of his many characters really brings the scenes to life.
THANK YOU FOR SMOKING is criminally underrated.
Around 2010, I met Aaron Eckhart while he was filming Battle Los Angeles. Instead of talking to him about Dark Knight and Two Face, I spoke to him briefly about Thank You for Smoking. He was really cool
It really is!
I love how both versions of JJJ are basically a spectrum, the mainstream media to independent media spectrum.
I was really looking forward to them discussing his role in the Farmers insurance commercials. Amazing stuff….
I am so disappointed The Closer wasn't on here, he was a major character for the entire show! It was also my first introduction to JK and what I'll always think of. Super disappointed they didn't cover The Closer T.T
Me, too. My mom never remembers the names of actors, but if I see JK Simmons in something and tell her about it, I just say, “you know, Brenda’s boss/ex” and she knows exactly who I’m talking about. We watched every episode of The Closer, together.
First time I remember seeing JK was on Law & Order as Dr. Emil Skoda. Always enjoyed him as that character, and to think he would go on to play the yellow M&M.
He was awesome as Dr. Skoda. I was bummed when he wasn’t on the show anymore.
JK Simmons is one of the greatest actors of our time and seems like such a heartwarming individual
so glad he talked about oz, i watched the show not so long ago and i was always in awe of how great his acting was. like, as the biggest compliment, he made it SO easy to hate him, you could believe he was 100% like that. and thinking about his others roles and his versatility while i watched it, i was just amazed 24/7.
His Burf After Reading character is madddd underrated. Those office sceens are done so well on so many levels.
Yeah, burf after reading is a great movie
His role in it was short but so, so memorable.
