Phil, being a super FF fan yourself, do you play the FF spinoffs at all? if no then why? just curious- thx
To answer your inquiry about the “Lore” behind the name Blood Talon, there used to be a really talented Hwoarang player that went by the name of “Blood_Talon_94” who primarily used Hwoarang every tournament he made an appearance in. He passed away sadly in 2019 during the time of Tekken 7, so this homage being paid to that player.
Wow, that is absolutely beautiful, thank you for sharing with me. 🙏🏻
Amazing insight as always🔥🔥
Thank you my love! 🖤
missed the Akira reference at the beginning! awesome video btw
The glow at certain points is part of this game's new "heat" mechanic. spend meter and your character enters this powered up state, potentially giving em new moves or advantages etc.
Tekken 7 have tons of stuff to react to like stop motion slow motion frame freeze trade hit particle effect too much stuff
Having played all the mainline Tekken games, how I interpret “Blood Talon” is that “Blood” may refer to the trope called “Blood Knight”, which refers to someone who loves fighting and battles, and I know the guy loves fighting and is so competitive, having a rivalry with Jin (his second opponent in this trailer) ever since Tekken 3 where they both debuted. “Talon” I think refers to Howarang’s tendency to perform axe kicks, and that he’s particularly notable for being (as far as I’m aware) the only character in all the Tekken series who can do axe kicks not just on the ground, but also in mid-air (or at least in the modern games, he may have learned it from his Taekwondo master Baek). So the motion of mid-air axe kicks brings to mind the motion hawks and/or eagles perform when coming down to snatch their prey with their talons. That’s my interpretation anyway.
Thats actually a pretty deep analysis on what it could have meant. I like it. But “Blood Talon “ is a homage to a really gifted Hwoarang player that went by the same name “Blood_Talon_94” Who passed away in 2019.
@@NoxNyctoris Oh, I didn't know that. That's sad to hear. Like I said, my explanation is merely an interpretation of mine, but the real meaning of the name is deeper.
@@yoloalchemist I stand corrected, I just remembered: “Blood Talon” was also the nickname given to him during his time in the military. So there could be number of reasons.
stop leeching off bruh , you think you're qualified to talk about tekken just because you did one video before
