You're the first person I've seen point out that move after the parry is similar to Baek's SS 3+4. I've seen a few analysis vids from Hwoarang mains and even they didn't point that out. Or the extension after LFF 3 which is the same as Baek's chop and also Baek's WS 2. Although the extension is different after WS 2 as Baek's was WS 2, 1 whereas Hwoarang is most likely WS 2, 3. Just noticed too that hellsweep extension from RFF, the last hit from that combo looks like the last hit from Baek's f, F + 4, 3.

The low with the green/blue sparks looks like its a heat empowered version of the first new low he does at the start, with the little hop beforehand. Hard to tell if in heat it becomes just a full string on hit or if you could do a dif combo after tho. Overall Hwo looks hella cool, makes me wanna pick him back up
definitely has some guard break properties, maybe more chip damage. Its hard to tell without the UI visible but im guessing its some sort of pressure multiplier or build up mechanic, the more green sparks he hits you with the more chip? idk im just guessing.

I think the green sparks on his feet has something to do with his special heat trait. You can see that the only time we see it is when he has heat active and throwing out his flamingo strings.
I'm wondering if some kicks get chip on block during heat, every green sparkle that connects with a block in the trailer does chip, though not every kick during heat had green stuff. Maybe anything out of stance? 🤔

You might be right - if you go back to Paul Phoenix's trailer @ 1:10 when he does his guard break, it looks like there's a greenish spark there. It's not as obvious as in Hwoarang's trailer but they could have updated it since then.
guard break is only exclusive to paul in heat rn because one of paul's trait is that he is so strong and he hits like a truck, he even breaks a wall in his intro also the orange glow is chip damage because hwo's in heat. guard break had that breaking glass effect.
@@Samura5555 what do u mean u dont think? have they ever shown guard breaks to other characters i mean rn it is for paul but if fahkumram gets in he might as well so far paul is the only one shown to have guard break because of heat. law's nunchuk move properties are different in heat as well every character gets different buffs from heat iirc
Saw it pointed out that it looks like as of whatever build the Lili and Hwoarang trailers are running on they've started toning down the VFX on heat. Maybe got some feedback about it being distracting?
Tekken 7 was the weakest one in terms of story, but regarding campaign they went the right way. We need MK like story mode, but every character needs to be fleshed out
@@HeavySandvichGuy1 they should just do a MK style story but give a proper normal Story Mode with prologue, round 1-9 and CGI ending for the rest of the roster.
seems like they're making character easier to play. I mean... where is the rocket kick? Is it still a thing in tekken 8? They never showed it?.... Its an iconic move.. I know he is not the hardest but you still need to be mechanically good to play him at max potential.
In my mind I think that Jin finally recognizes Hwoarang as a proper rival and can now return his feelings. Hwoarang has been working and growing and is serious hence the symbolic eye patch removal.

I think ch f1+2 gives +14 which gives the free heatengagestring which is i14 (and it can be used as a punish outside of that)
