I actually kind of like how Jin is a more restrained (in a way) in terms of his intros and moveset(not counting the Devil stuff), it makes sense that he doesn't go as hard as Kazuya since we're seeing a return to Tekken 5 Jin where he's more focused and mellowed out.
@Itachi Is superior to you either that or Devil Jin is an NPC boss/Story-exclusive like the final Devil Kazuya was in T7, where it was the playable Kazuya but he had diff move properties, new moves exclusive to this form, etc
Devil Jin will probably be playable but the story mode is probably going to adress him in some way or form. Seeing that the end of the story trailer showed Jun interacting with Jin with some magic powers (probably Rage Art tho), there's a good chance that an alive or manifestation of Jun (like the one in the Netflix show) will lead to a Jin VS D.Jin fight to have him win over his devil side and take full control of his powers. This would be the most logical way to do it while also keeping D.Jin as a playable character.

@@redthalos my biggest gripe with the animations from strings is how modded they look. They have this abrupt transition between poses that look wrong.
I think what puts people off is that Jin still looks like his normal self when doing those flips and he's just getting vfx of claw trails and a wing when he harnesses his devil power. If they let Jin fully transform into Devil Jin during those moves, it might've looked less weird or not at all for them. One of the reasons I've been a Jin fan for decades was that his fighting style was more grounded compared to a lot of other characters, not to mention Kyokushin is badass and his moves all looked super powerful. Now he is doing ridiculous floaty flips like Lars/Lili. If I wanted to play Devil Jin I would, I don't need wings and explosions every time I do something.
10:18 Wrong, the ballerina spin also wallsplats in Tekken 7, so most likely 2, 4 will keep the wallsplat property but now he gets a free 50/50 in the neutral instead of a knock down. That's definitely a buff to me
I have a feeling that Jin was under Lars' training or guidance somehow because if you would remember during the after-credit cutscene in Tekken 7's story mode, we see that Lars, Lee, and Alisa were gathered on a rooftop together with Jin, and Lars advised Jin to take control once again or something to bring back the world into a normal state again, so maybe Jin wanted some help from Lars and the rest to help him refocus his energy and strength in order for him to restrain himself and take control of the Devil gene within him. I am saying this because Jin's aerial movesets kinda resemble Lars' aerial kicks even tho it somehow is an integration of DVJ's U4 and Jin's new outfit also kinda resembles an outfit that Lars has in Tekken 7, I believe, with the same color scheme and that wings-looking design. This is all just a non-sense theory that I came up with but whatever. Overall as a Jin main, I am loving the new good guy Jin.

here's a detail I don't think many people caught, controlled devil gene for jin is different visually speaking compared kazuya; where kazuya has totally merged with his devil side, essentially the devil taking over ins that case; the devil is the master and human is the slave. While for jin, he remains mostly human with one dark wing and a face tattoo; in this case, the human is master and the devil is the slave. Well in retrospect, devil jin has mostly human traits aside the added horns and chains.
Unfortunately it’s the other way around for Kazuya. In Tekken 4 when Kaz and Devil merged it was Kazuya assimilating Devil into himself. It became apart of Kaz, he’s the one in control.
Ok, here it goes. Kazuya's whole story arc (after T2) is him wanting to control Devil's power, not the other way around right? well, he achieves it. He's no longer a slave, now he's the master. That's why he doesn't look like a demon like creature anymore. Also, that's why he can open the third eye at will, or power up with that purple aura thingy without going full Devil. He doesn't loses his mind when going into Devil form, that's a huge plus. He is in full control of his powers cause he earned that shit (T4). Now, let's take a look at his Devil transformation. He has purple skin, horns, 3rd eye and bat like wings right? But he's in full control of his powers and he still looks and talks like a human being...I mean....he goes into Devil form while still wearing a business suit... Now let's talk about Jin. Every time he goes for Devil form he loses his mind, he goes full edgy 15y/o jap nuts. He can't control his powers, that's why he hates that form. Let's take a look at his base form. He has horns, raven like wings, a third eye, 90's tattoos, huge ass demon claws, chains, fangs and yellow eyes. Plus he goes psycho mode. He's clearly not in control and his traits are clearly more demon rather than human. Now Jin being the chosen one blabla he's a natural. He has more raw power. But he was clearly the slave, not the master. Now it seems in T8 Jin has full control of Devil form just like Kazuya did years ago. So I'm pretty sure in terms of control and raw power, Jin's hibrid Human/Devil form is going to be stronger than Kazuya Devil form.
@@maximilianoalcaraz7351 Exactly, perfect summary. The only thing I'd probably note (and this is more of just things to think about than some sort of correction) is that its uncertain if Jin has more raw power/talent than Kazuya. While its true Jin beat Heihachi and Kazuya in Tekken 4, that was only after they both themselves just had a death battle. The intro to Tekken 8 kind of implies that Kazuya might've beaten Jin in battle which may cause Jin to train and utilize his power without losing himself. Which would mean on a 1 v 1 its much more subjective who has "more" power. Besides his fight with Heihachi in Tekken 4 most of Kazuyas losses are situational, and not born out through fighting alone.
@@ZayIvory7 Well maybe that was the result of Kazuya selling the rest of his soul back then, causing another half of his soul(?) to form Angel. Or was he born with it because of Kazumi, since it was retconned?
@@maximumdeejay I so much more prefer the original story of Kazuya selling his soul for power via Demonic power. But the canon story now is that he always had the Devil Gene and that being thrown off the ravine as a child triggered it. Though he couldn't control/manifest it completely until Tekken 4.
I feel like “I shall not waver again” is not a redemption from tekken 6. But more of from the start of Tekken 3, his quest started from vengeance for his mother to hatred and attempt to destroy the Mishimas after being betrayed. His motives have always been out of rage and vengeance. This time it’s like he finally found meaning and purpose to do things right.

How its possible that u didnt recognize the old man OTGF !? xD
TMM's t6 king was a menace and combo exhibition videos he uploaded that time were so crazy
here's a detail I don't think many people caught, controlled devil gene for jin is different visually speaking compared kazuya;
where kazuya has totally merged with his devil side, essentially the devil taking over ins that case; the devil is the master and human is the slave.

Exactly, perfect summary.

I so much more prefer the original story of Kazuya selling his soul for power via Demonic power.
Miguel needs his revenge
Vengeance was never his goal after T4. He was set on destrying devil gene and any demons that appeared on his radar.
