A lot of people think Devil Jin is no more because Jin now has a bunch of DJ's moves. _I'm not so convinced._ Key thing missing here: lasers. Kaz has them, so if they're doing the same thing with Jin wouldn't it make sense to give Jin lasers too? I think they're hiding something. Notice how Jin is accessing his Devil side in a very limited, controlled manner. Only for brief bursts, only one wing ever shows up and only for seconds at a time. I think either Jin can fully transform like Kaz can and perhaps gain access to even more Devil moves, or Devil Jin is still a separate character... imagine his trailer.
This was the original plans for T8 was gonna have Devil Jin as a transformation for Jin during heat system but it was soon the be scrapped unfortunately so of course Jin & Devil Jin will definitely be separate characters Iike before cause Devil Jin always comes w/ bulI horns, black wings and red demonic arms
Hopes for DJ returning as a separate character is pure copium. There's no reason to keep DJ's moves for Jin when there's going to be an entire character that shares those exact moves. (Unless they change DJ's entire moveset that is.) It makes no lore sense too. Why would DJ even be there when Jin's taking control of his own genes? @@lastraider2435 The last part about them not being the same is pure semantics. The two are the exact same in regards to lore. Also, the only thing diff about jin and kaz is that kaz relies on his devil genes while Jin seems to have absorbed it. Thats why kaz needs to transform into his devil form where jin infuses it. the Jin problem as regards to the story, by the way - he did 'act' evil for a while in the T6, and did indeed cause WW3. However, it was because he had learned of Azazel's existence and that he would eventually rise and destroy everything. So Jin decided to cause massive amounts of sorrow and anger in the world so that Azazel's return would happen faster. Also Azazel apparently had some connection to the Devil Gene so only Jin or Kazuya could kill it (and given Kazuya's usual mindset Jin couldn't trust his dad to do jack). The problem was, while he intended to fix it, he was so fucked after the Azazel battle he passed out and got lost in the desert for a while while pops and gramps fucked everything up in his absence (the entire T7 plot) TL;DR - Jin knows he fucked up giving Azazel energy and leaving the job half done and now he's back to fix it and fuck up his pops in the process.

“They’re basically doing everything I wanted” as someone who watched this trailer already, as you were listing the things you wanted from him I got more and more excited for you to see it 😂😂😂
So, they’re taking Jin full-protagonist reformed route, it seems. And given he’s mixing in Devil aesthetics with his normal moveset, supposing the idea is that he has full control over his Devil Gene, so I suppose they took a story note out of Capcom’s book ala Ryu with the Mu no Ken for his own self-actualization.
A bit unrelated to the trailer but looking around the stage, there is alot of references to leroy smith such as the coffee shop in the back named "smith coffee", a statue that you can see behind jin during his intro that looks like leroy and his dog and then the billboards around the stage have his name
Maybe they're getting the trailers for characters that they've already revealed out of the way (Kazuya, Jin, Paul, Law, Lars and Nina), and once they're done with those the other trailers will be more spaced out. Also it'd be cool if there were two versions of every character's rage art, a normal one and a heat one, just like there are level 3 super arts and critical arts in Street Fighter 6.
4:06 not only did they infuse some of his Devil Jin moves, they added the Omen moves from the Tag series too? (When partnered w/ Heihachi or Kazuya) - this Jin is about to be dangerous.
Lenne Hardt as the announcer for TK8 is absolutely based. She adds a unique level of hype to the game. (And I'm a guy who likes the Tekken 4 announcer, the opposite to her loud inflection)
Feel like you can only to 1 combo extension (screw, bound, flip) per combo ... BUT you have more flexibility since youre not locked into doing only 1 extension like t7 where you HAVE to do a screw attack to extend your combo
Weird that Maxi didn't notice the no animation in the hot dog seller, his "truck" is moving and kinda taking damage but the guy don't move at all with the "truck".
I think we'll still get a devil jin. The way his wing/wings don't fully materialise and fade away almost instantly suggests that's his not letting the 'power' freely take hold of him. He uses it and then drops it almost instantly. The power stays for a small fraction of time. I'm happy that Jin's been given an update to his character and command list.
Surprised Max didn't comment about how Jin's outro is REALLY similar to Rock Howard's from SNK....Max plays that character so much it seems he'd notice..or maybe he did and I didn't see it on stream or something.
My guess is Jin starts getting all power hungry to beat his father in the early parts of the game but his mom's spirits helps him more to control his evil half and to master the kazama fighting style from what we saw in the story trailer which is why he seems more calm than he usually is and has control over his devil gene and can use it's power without fully transforming. People forget that his mother's fighting style was made to suppress people with the devil gene.
I agree with something LordKnight said a while back. If you like a complicated character, learning an easy character first is taking time away from learning the complicated character.
14:31 kinda, kazuya did the thing that in T7 was his devil transformation that has a pseudoparry (if well timed), jin in this case did his old OMEN stance (like in ttt2) giving him access to other mvoes, cause the next thing he did was an OTGF (omen thunder god fist) thats my opinion
Hoping polish karate comes back as well. Love seeing the different styles of karate at play. Jin has a modern kempo style mixed in with tricking, Lidia has modern competition style karate stuff you saw in the Olympics for a second mixed with shotokan I think. Now I need Bob back who is very much US sport karate /tricker
@@sarahbryant3784 lol funny enough Jin is isn't too far from real world stuff. The flip kicks are based on an acrobatic sport called martial arts tricking, it's a mix of martial arts, gymnastics and a bit of flare from like breakdancing. Bob uses alot of moves from tricking
Tekken 6 lore is really interesting actually. Jin literally does fake being a bad guy and purposely starting world War 3 because of a prophesy that foretold that azazel would reawaken when waR broke out in the world again. So jin purposefully forces him to reawaken so that he can kill him to prevent the end of the world as otherwise jin could be old or dead by the time azazel awakens and there would be no one strong enough to defeat him

“They’re basically doing everything I wanted” as someone who watched this trailer already, as you were listing the things you wanted from him I got more and more excited for you to see it 😂😂😂
Some of his karate moves were replaced by claw attacks from the devil form. His super also seems way too simple when compared to Kazuya's.
So we not gonna talk about how Jin has kazuya’s dragon uppercut on the wall👀 into full combo
Bro that is what had me hyped. You can only do that in Tekken 3, Tag and Tag 2 with Omen Stance. Bringing back that Tekken 3 Jin a little bit.
I’m more of a fan of Tekken 3-4 versions of Jin Kazama, and I’ll be looking forward to seeing more of him in Tekken 8.
The best versions of Jin
Jin the Bloodedge
I just noticed at 8:33 leroy has his own coffee shop called Smith Coffee & his Image is on the will over the hot dog stand so Leroy confirmed?
And his statue is in the background of the stage and his name is on the billboards im pretty sure this is his stage
His divekick loooks like a new Sen-3+4 which is good because NO ONE ever used that move before
So, they’re taking Jin full-protagonist reformed route, it seems. And given he’s mixing in Devil aesthetics with his normal moveset, supposing the idea is that he has full control over his Devil Gene, so I suppose they took a story note out of Capcom’s book ala Ryu with the Mu no Ken for his own self-actualization.
I can't help but think of Zenkaiger when I hear the announcer. Such a good anniversary season.
I was JUST on twitch trying to see this reaction….i shouldve been patient.
I haven't played Jin since tekken 5 and he looks amazing in this one
He got devil Jin and his standard moves mixed and a little bit of heihachi and jinpachi and I think a bit of Lars as well
A bit unrelated to the trailer but looking around the stage, there is alot of references to leroy smith such as the coffee shop in the back named "smith coffee", a statue that you can see behind jin during his intro that looks like leroy and his dog and then the billboards around the stage have his name
All these hits looks so powerful.
4:06 not only did they infuse some of his Devil Jin moves, they added the Omen moves from the Tag series too? (When partnered w/ Heihachi or Kazuya) - this Jin is about to be dangerous.
My body is ready to study this new Jin! Let's get it.
Jin has FINALLY mastered the Satsui no Hado
They just made him rock howard design wise, i approve.
Lars: You stole my moves
Jin And Kazuya: What do you mean your moves, you use our style
2:59 Ah, the Forest of Ks. I wondered where they kept getting all the extra Ks to make screen resolutions better
I'm pretty Sure they are doing a trailer for all the Characters that will be available at Evo Japan
With king being a grappler/wrestler they can completely overhaul his character with new grapple combos and regular grabs.
Jin looked his most stale in 7, glad to see him lookin’ fresh again
Lenne Hardt as the announcer for TK8 is absolutely based. She adds a unique level of hype to the game.
(And I'm a guy who likes the Tekken 4 announcer, the opposite to her loud inflection)
Jin find inner peace and he's back to be the hero!
That Bob Burger in-game commercial, in the stage, for a letter, Disney would have unleashed their lawyers
I'm definitely Maining Jin unless they get fakhumram balanced if not Jin will be my main
Feel like you can only to 1 combo extension (screw, bound, flip) per combo ... BUT you have more flexibility since youre not locked into doing only 1 extension like t7 where you HAVE to do a screw attack to extend your combo
As a Jin main I'm so hyped for this
Weird that Maxi didn't notice the no animation in the hot dog seller, his "truck" is moving and kinda taking damage but the guy don't move at all with the "truck".
This looks very interesting
Jin Kazama finally mastering his power along with Power of Nothingness Ryu & Thunder Fire God Liu Kang!
Exactly Jin and Ryu is sooo similar to each other they both have demons inside and they finally conquer it
I think we'll still get a devil jin. The way his wing/wings don't fully materialise and fade away almost instantly suggests that's his not letting the 'power' freely take hold of him. He uses it and then drops it almost instantly. The power stays for a small fraction of time. I'm happy that Jin's been given an update to his character and command list.
Surprised Max didn't comment about how Jin's outro is REALLY similar to Rock Howard's from SNK....Max plays that character so much it seems he'd notice..or maybe he did and I didn't see it on stream or something.
shiny eyes jin be like "omae wa mou shindeiru"
Awesome trailer, still want Kazuya to win.
starting up heat:
-Heat Burst (gives 1 stock)
-Heat Engage (gives 2 stocks)
special actions while in heat state:
-Heat Dash (uses 1 stock)
-Heat Smash (uses all stocks/ends heat state)
Looks like I'll need to train with this new Jin since they showed some new moves
another great vid, thanks for helping support the tekken project & community bro 10/10 😊👍
3:44 Jin did one of Law's moves! And it is similar to Guile's Summersalt kick!
Did anyone noticed, they put Leroy's stone statue and a banner (11:18)
Jin giving me Rock Howard vibes
Bro jin hit the genocide cutter 💀
Jin giving us mad Rock Howard vibes
I literally just watched this wondering, "huh, surprised Max hasn't posted a video about this." And then twenty minutes later:
Max: ".. like in the middle of the night."
the upload time is what sells it for me xd
“Strength isn’t everything.” That’s called growth right there!
14:31 kinda, kazuya did the thing that in T7 was his devil transformation that has a pseudoparry (if well timed), jin in this case did his old OMEN stance (like in ttt2) giving him access to other mvoes, cause the next thing he did was an OTGF (omen thunder god fist)
thats my opinion
I feel like this my second favorite rage art
Hoping polish karate comes back as well. Love seeing the different styles of karate at play. Jin has a modern kempo style mixed in with tricking, Lidia has modern competition style karate stuff you saw in the Olympics for a second mixed with shotokan I think. Now I need Bob back who is very much US sport karate /tricker
Lidia is now the only real karateka, bring her back for the people! Osu
That person running the hotdog stand looks way too calm about two violent men almost tilting over their cart.
Lots of Tekken 3 vibes with his personality and style. And loving the new outfit 🔥🔥🔥
Square Enix got their *“One-Winged Angel”* and now Bandai Namco has a *“One-Winged Devil”*
Tho devil jin has angel wings
Tekken 6 lore is really interesting actually. Jin literally does fake being a bad guy and purposely starting world War 3 because of a prophesy that foretold that azazel would reawaken when waR broke out in the world again. So jin purposefully forces him to reawaken so that he can kill him to prevent the end of the world as otherwise jin could be old or dead by the time azazel awakens and there would be no one strong enough to defeat him
Really got back into Tekken 3 again last night via emulator and Jin's theme still HITS SO HARD in that game... :D
Uncle Lars taught him a few moves! XD
Thank God my legend is back once more and looking at his new position and new attitude. "Strength isn't everything" is the right way for my boy completely changed from dark to finally found his composer.
JIN WAS NEVER A BAD GUY. Did no one play scenario campaign? MAX leading up to 8 play through scenario campaign!
Low-key his Kazama Karate-style was lit. I had fun learning his new move set in Tekken 4.
Damn!! The stage is amazing
Like father like son. Now Jin has a Devil form instead of the same character with a different move set
