    Thanks, Chloe, that was a tough workout; it looks so easy too, just move the knees apart a number of times ;). If I can do this a couple of times a week and start training again, maybe I can return to my former level of racing!

    Haha I've been having my runners do this routine and the comments are always "Holy hell this was hard! What a butt burn." or "so.. so.. so many clams!" haha!

      Yes it’s good to do strength training and cardio

    Is this still effective if you do it after runs instead of before?

      Hello, yes I would think so. Actually, I am usually more inclined to do something like this AFTER a run, or on my off days.. I like to warm up my muscles with some dynamic stretching before, maybe incorporate something that activates these muscles, but I would be too fatigued if I did this 20 min workout before a run, especially a hard one.

      The first exercise is a side-lying clamshell (both sides) and the second is called a glute bridge!
