Iv followed you on your running adventures. I just found your workout. Thank you for sharing . I'm 66 and have been running for 37+years. Your work out is perfect for me as I still work full time and traing for a marathon. I look forward to more on your channel.
I started yoga and Pilates about 3 years ago, and am staggered at the difference it makes to my cycling and running technique, as in neither disintegrates when I tire. When running trails, my foot placement is far superior - did a 15k challenge in Lakes between lockdowns, was 8 minutes quicker than 7 years ago. Great video as always, lots of substance. Thanks
This is perfect Sarah. Just when I was looking for a good core workout for runners and this drops into my feed. Thank you so much for making this. Your channel keeps getting better and better. 👍
@@SarahPlace we did it, it's hard but manageable, it just highlights that my core is made from biscuits! I think I've got a long way to go. Thanks again
Knowing that my core is rubbish I just did this for the first time. Really simple exercises to do and something I’ll now use 2-3 times a week thanks Sarah. Fingers crossed after a few weeks I’ll really feel the benefit of these 👍
thank you for the video. I much prefer it when the person does it with you rather than just instruct. this is a great video to get in to core workouts, thanks
Just done this after an easy run. Great video. Definitely going to keep doing this a few times a week. It’s great that you can follow along without having to set your own timer. Thanks Sarah!
This is perfect! Just did a 30km event as part of training for first 50km event in February. One of the thoughts I had in the last few km was a need to do the 'little' things that aren't running that will help me on this journey. The 1 percenters...doings this clip regularly will be one of those percenters! Thanks so much!!!
I ran my first (virtual) marathon about 4 weeks ago and I've been slacking in regards to my workouts since then. But I will try this, so I'm now looking forward to my next workout!
I'm late to the party but I hope you read this. This is one of the best work out videos I've watched, and I'm sure I'm gonna keep coming back to it. The exercises are hard enough to feel the effect, but easy enough so that I don't get overwhelmed. Your pace makes it so much more comfortable than when someone just goes through it all without missing a beat or talking. I hope you can enjoy your videos as much as I do!
Hi Sarah. In my quest for a 20-min 5k I attempted my first fartlek ladder last week (1-min hard, 1 min slow, 2 mins hard, 2 mins slow, 3 mins, 4 mins, then 3, 2, 1...), and afterwards I was feeling my abs in all new ways! I have watched this core routine of yours a few times and picked up some neat exercises that I am now incorporating into my weekly strength workouts. Thanks for sharing your honest reflections and cracking smile with the world :)
Brilliant video. Was just looking for some short and straightforward equipment free strength workouts for runners! Would love to see others for lower/full body too. Your channel is so endlessly helpful :)
Great video Sarah, thanks very much! S&C HAS to be the focus for the winter months now so this is very timely. A great format to be able to squeeze in whilst Working From Home, thanks very much!
@@SarahPlace Hi Sarah, just did the core workout after my run today. I found it really good and this video will be part of my routine now.. thank you so much! 👍
I've been doing this workout twice a week for a couple of months now, and I still LOVE it! It fits so well into my weekly schedule, and I like to mix it in with some other prehab exercises too. Thanks, Sarah!!
This is a really simple and effective workout that I use regularly. By explaining the exercise before you do it and then some tips as you're going makes it super easy to follow along. Even though I've used it multiple times I still play it each time as I find it helps to keep me moving through the routine.
Great tutorial Sarah, thanks very much. I do a lot of the ones you demonstrated but also learnt a few new ones, amazing. It was also kinda endearing watching you trying to keep a straight face during some of the tougher exercises. I know how tough they can be 😂
I love this, Sarah! It’s seems like the perfect thing to do either before/after a run to feel like I’m getting a bit more in (especially while gyms are closed). Definitely a video I’ll be favouriting and returning to regularly. Can’t wait to try it today, thanks!
ah thank you rachel! and yes little and often is definitely best with strength stuff i find so it's good to fit it in while you're already in your running clothes! hope you enjoy when you come to do it!
Hate strength workouts but decided I need to do one to improve my running and stay injury free. This one is perfect for a couple of times a week! Thank you!
I've been running distance for about 20 years (marathons to 50 milers) and didn't start incorporating core strength exercises into my training until about 2 years ago. It has made a huge difference. I also find the bosu ball and medicine balls to be helpful pieces of equipment for core strength training.
This is a very good video guide Sarah, I have started leg and core strengthening properly this year and it has noticeably helped. Even though I had guidance (good solid guidance) I have still gained valuable information and will be taking some of these moves onboard immediately. The workout was just right tbh, if it’s too long and complex you won’t end up wanting to do it! Great stuff - thanks Sarah 👍
This was the perfect core work out for me. I am starting over in my running journey. This was at a pace that was ideal as I could feel the abs working 🔥. Gym classes always have faster paced workouts and don't always get to figure out the best position to make the most of that exercise. I will be repeatedly doing this exercise to add into my running training. 👍. Thanks Sarah great video.
I’ve done this workout few times now and love coming back. Chilled, easy to follow and you have a very calming voice, just what’s needed after coming back pumped from a run 😝 Shame I can only give it 👍 once. It would be great to have a follow along warmup sessions.
Thanks Sarah really respect your knowledge will deffo give this a go now having loads of time at home thank you for all your content! loyal to yo both and Ben
Really like it! It's just the perfect amount for me. Not too heavy or too long, but a nice quick workout and can definetely feel my muscles working! Will try to do this twice a week!
What a great core workout . Definitely hit the subscribed button . Love the pace and instruction. I am a runner and this will definitely help me. Thank you 😊
Thks Sarah and lovely to watch your channel grow. I'm going to try and incorporate this into my running week. Do you ever suffer from tightness in your hips and legs? A follow along stretch would be awesome plus another vote for leg strength 👍🤣
yes my hips do get very tight, so i try and do an hour's yin yoga every week to 10 days to loosen everything up. have a look at kassandra yin yoga - she's great, i always feel so much better the next day, it's like a reset button!
Let me know how you get on when you try it! Tag me in your instagram stories! @sarahplace1 :)
I watched your video while drinking a cup of coffee :D but I will be doing this after every run when I'm recovered from an injury. :)
Thank you for this
Sarah I just want to thank you for this one! I used it throughout my London marathon prep which was my first and it helped sooo much!!
This is my new favorite core routine.
Perfect workout. Quick and efficient. Thanks love
Sarah, this is still my favourite ‘go to’ runner’s strength routine. It would be fantastic if you would make a couple more of these 👍
Please Sarah can we have more videos like this. This is great, I’ve used this so many times. Maybe a legs one? ❤️
I just keep coming back to this. Thank you!!
Love this! Great workout, and your vibe is so pleasant. I've been doing this 2-3x a week for a month and wow, what a difference. Thanks so, so much.

I do this workout a lot when I get sore after running and playing football. Thanks so much for making it! It's just the right length/intensity.
Tried it this morning when I got out of bed, it’s a nice morning exercise 👌
I started yoga and Pilates about 3 years ago, and am staggered at the difference it makes to my cycling and running technique, as in neither disintegrates when I tire. thanks tim and glad to hear you're seeing the benefit of regular yoga and pilates!
Perfect! I have been looking for something like this! Thank you!

Done this a few times now each week after runs and its really helpful for a quick workout! Thanks!
I ran my first (virtual) marathon about 4 weeks ago and I've been slacking in regards to my workouts since then. But I will try this, so I'm now looking forward to my next workout!
ah congrats! it's good to have a bit of a break though after things like that! enjoy the workout when you come to do it :)

This is great, Sarah. I love the fact it's 10 minutes and you pack so much in plus a good stretch at the end. I can't wait to try it.
I been doing these before my workout this is the second time I'm doing it I hope to run 2 miles again in 25 min
Nice all-round core workout that thanks Sarah!
Thanks Sarah! I am so bad at doing anything other than running so the fact this is sharp and to the point is a bonus :)
haha thanks michelle - yeah little and often is the only way that works for me!
Hi From Kenya. Looks like like a great short work out
