Great explanation and demonstration of how to use all of the tools. Respect that you don't cut out any of the struggling or other challenges you run into on the way!
Great video! I just did mine thanks to your guide. I didn't remove the drive shaft but it definitely would have given me more space and made it a little easier! Just a note incase anyone doesn't have the tool for the hub nut.
Thank you, you don't know but you have helped me so many times doing jobs on my passat b6 with your videos. Thanks for your explanation and detail when doing the video, that helps greatly. Keep going!!
great video brother , i watch these videos with my youngest who wants to work for Vag group when he grows up before he gets sensible 😁 have a good day brother .👍
420k miles on the clock is impressive! I am on mine 6th or 7th sharan now,61 plate as yours, one thing I miss massively is electronic front window. Condensation wont let u go in the morning for a few minutes. Even though of retrofitting it but the costs of window replacement itself cooled me down😂 Happy motoring and hello from Peterborough.
Thanks 👍 My EGR was replaced recently and I have a video about it, I have new DPF in the attic and as soon as find time - I will make a video about it too.
@@wawayltd pls kindly post video/tutorial about egr and dpf...mine is playing too. I am having 2 codes 203A and 203B. If u can enlighten..tnkxx..superv works 💪
Very informative I have a SEAT Alhambra equivalent model to this Sharan, as far as I can see they are mechanically identical generally even the VW/SEAT part numbers are the same. Thanks for this & the other videos I will visit your website as well.
Another nice video ;) your videos are also good at explaining how to change things... What sometimes I am missing is how you found that you need to change it... I think if you would be able to add also how to you detected that need something to be changed it would be even better ;)
Thanks a lot yes both have done it and have patience but have not done it for long so see recall, finde parts and ok again tools and where to do it :-)
Good video. Same as the touran. Another 10min job that's probably going to end up taking me 2hours a grinder and a lot of swearing 😂 120k miles never changed. Hmm.
@WheelsAndMotors definitely not, 🤣 it's a job I would expect to take me 10mins though, but probably end up taking hours as they have never been done. Changed the drop link stabiliser bars in 10mins. Was pleasently surprised my gun undid them without any spinning, I'm debating if I should get new track rod ends and the other 2 bushes. As it's all pretty tired looking. Not sure how much longer they are going to last and don't fancy having to strip it down multiple times. Want a job? 🤣
Good day and thank you for an excellent video. Have you done a Passat 2008 Diesel Front Lower suspension arm (Driver's side) I believe I would have to release the subframe and lever it from the body to enable the removal of the front swivel bolt.
When I took the ball joint out, i didn’t disconnect the drive shaft or the other arm piece. I cannot get my ball joint to line up to the LCA anymore. Should I disconnect the drive shaft?
I'm saying - if you do it on your own (no one to press the brakes), and you don't have a power tool, then the only way to undo it is while the car is on a ground with parking brake applied - just make it loose, don't take it out because there is a risk of damaging bearing, obviously when you raise the car - take it out, otherwise you won't be able to remove ball joint nut.
They are pretty tight on VW's. Weirdly on Ford Galaxy, it's only 13mm bold with a torque of 20Nm. I don't know, I don't normally replace it, unless it's part of some kit. However, I'm not a mechanic either 😉
Hello my friend. I have a problem. After 100km speed i hear a noice like bass from the right side until 115km and when I speed up 120km the noice disappear. I thought it was the wheel bearing, I changed but the nooce still. I changed and tires because that was bad the noice still. Bass after 100km until 110km. Can be some bracket from engine? Thanks

My thoughts exactly, shows some of the problems you can be faced with

Wow! Thank you very much for your appreciation 🌻
Love to see Sharan content again. Keep up with the good work.
Thanks 👍 Sharan is coming back! Few more videos are planned to do.

As usual, very clear step by step explanations. Thanks and eager to watch the next one :)
Thank you Francisco 👍
Great to see that Sharan is still running! Hope that dpf and egr valve is holdin on great, because mine is giving hard time. :(

I have a video about EGR, currently don't have any time for DPF, but I have new one and will do it at some point in the future 👍

You're very welcome 👍
So useful, thank you. Tried replacing suspension on my Touran and ball joint bolt sheared so may replace everything now
You're welcome 👍 Hope it helps
Thanks for great content as always. Have you ever done a thermostat change on the Sharan?
No, but definitely will add it to my list of videos to do. Thanks 👍
Thank you so much! I like to see how you deal with mechanical tasks.
Big thumb up and huge!
Glad you liked it!
I can tell you that he is absolutely right going with Lemforder or TRW parts. Believe they are the same manufacturer and good oem quality..
Choosing the right brand makes a lot of difference 👍

Good point 👍 Although I found out just from MOT report, I could show some play in that ball joint. I'll keep it in mind for my next videos.
some times easy some time not, good video👍
Thanks 👍

The best and easy way to replace ❤thanks

Good job! 👍 And you have some real trust in your jack stand and jack 😅
Thanks 👍 Tested with time 😎
This is so helpful and nicely done. Thanks so much for sharing it!!

No, I haven't done that Passat. Should be pretty easy though.

What is LCA?
Great job!
Thanks 👍
Great job, you are a myth, many thanks for all your precious videos
Thanks, Fabio. I will do as many as I can.

@@wawayltd thanks for the reply now i get it
Good video, could you say me te reference of extractor tool?
Thanks 👍 I don't remember where I got it. It's either Machine Mart or eBay.
did you replace the driveshaft bolt? struggling to find one near me so thinking of re-using this one, but there torque bolts... whats your thoughts?
They are pretty tight on VW's. Weirdly on Ford Galaxy, it's only 13mm bold with a torque of 20Nm.

@@wawayltd Thanks for the reply, oh im no mechanic either, seem to fix a lot of stuff though... Cheers mate
Use plusgas, far better than WD 40 !
Just bought 2 big cans of WD-40 :) I should try Plusgas, too. Thanks for the advice!

Sorry, just discovered your comment. To me it sounds like a bearing. Don't know... Maybe bearing on the other wheel?
Just remove the BALL JOINT - why go thru all of the extra trouble.
Great video
Thanks 👍
